I set the paper bag down on the tiny vanity and pull out the box. Using my teeth to gnaw on the plastic cover, I finally rip it open. After fumbling with the package for a moment, I tear open the box and pull out the stick.

My eyes quickly read over the instructions on the back of the box. Okay, pretty simple. Pee on this little stick for ten seconds, then wait two minutes. Plus sign shows, I’m knocked up; negative, not. Squatting down over the toilet, I remove the cap with my mouth and hold the stick directly underneath me. Fuck! This is a sight. I count twelve seconds in my head just to make sure before spitting the cap out into my other hand and placing it back on the stick. Resting it carefully on the floor, I finish my pee.

Deliberately not looking at it, I wash my hands, staring at my reflection in the mirror. I know it hasn’t been the full whatever minutes yet, but I think peeking at it wouldn’t hurt. I’m probably just freaking myself out! Shaking my head at myself for being a freak, I bend over the stick. Instantly, my smile fades. More like fucking plummets.

“Ah,
fuck!

Oops . . . I did it again. ;)

Okay, before you want to come after me with pitchforks and torches, hehehe, hear me out. “Everything I Have” will be the FINAL installment of Tristan and Sophia’s story. It IS already written and just waiting to head to my editor. It’s going to be a novella of around 40,000 words tying up this crazy, sexy story. Right now, I plan on it being released on June 3rd. I promise, I will not have you’s wait as long as you did with “Everything I Need.”

About the Author

I grew up on Bay Mills Indian Reservation and still reside in Michigan’s Eastern Upper Peninsula. From a young age, I always loved reading and writing stories. My brain was constantly going for my next idea, but when I became a teenager, I kind of fell out of it.

Later on, I ended up marrying my first love, Jake, who I like to call Butters. We have three beautiful children together. A seven-year-old daughter, Morgan, and two year old twins, Logan and Hannah.

I ended up working in accounting for about seven years. You know, a paying the bills to get by kind of thing. One day at work, I was jamming out as I would usually do whenever I had a lot of inputting to do, and that’s when it hit me. Music is such an inspiration to me. My first love will always be music, but my second is writing. So as I was listening to a certain song, “Everything I Want” started forming in my head. I was so excited that I started typing it out immediately on my iPhone. I couldn’t stop.

Eventually, I just took the plunge. Being a new indie author is kind of scary, but I just felt in my heart that I’m starting on the right path. It was sink or swim time. I quit my job five months after Everything I Want debuted and never looked back. I’m so blessed that I’m able to do something that I love doing and that I get to share it with all of you.
