She didn’t expect her first interview to be Jake but she was glad it was, it felt right. She made sure to tell her boss about her relationship with Jake and he didn’t seem to care, he said as long as she did her job and didn’t show any bias then she was fine. That was easy enough Lexi thought because there were plenty of times where she had put Jake in his place.

Speaking of Jake, he looked so mouth wateringly good in his jeans and button up shirt. His smile was big enough where she got a great view of his dimples and she couldn’t help but melt into a puddle. She missed him. She missed him so damn much.

“Good game, big guy.” She said, breaking the tension that was forming between them.

She knew she was the one who put the tension there but she had to
in order to get to where she was today. The only reason she was able to be as good as she was right now at her job was because she set Jake aside and really focused on her skill. Lexi also thought that was the reason why Jake improved to a status no other rookie quarterback could reach. They put their relationship on hold and both focused on themselves.

“Thanks.” He walked toward her but she could tell he was hesitant, she didn‘t blame him. She didn’t have a proven track record lately of staying around. “Uh, what are you doing here?”

“Waiting for you.” His smile got even bigger. Lexi held back the I-love-you sigh that wanted so desperately to come out of her mouth.

“For me?” He said while pointing at his chest and moving closer to her. They were only about a foot apart now and Lexi could smell the soap he used in the shower mixed with his cologne. The scents sent her desire for him sky rocketing. “You waited for little, old me?”

Lexi looked him up and down and said, “There is nothing little about you, Jake Taylor.”

“You would know, babe.” He closed the distance between them even more and rested his hands on her hips.

She looked down at his hands and then back at his face. “What are you up to, Taylor?”

Jake looked down at their hips that were touching now and he thought about her question for a second. “I would say about eight to nine inches.”

Lexi laughed and swatted him. “God, you haven’t changed.”

He chuckled and started making a circular pattern on her hips with his thumbs. Her mouth went dry as her knees started to wobble.

“I’ve missed you.” He said very quietly. Lexi’s heart broke in half. She couldn’t believe Jake still wanted to talk to her after the way she treated him. She didn’t deserve him but she was a selfish woman and didn’t feel like giving him up, not now.

“I’ve missed you too, Jake. I don’t deserve your kindness or affection. I’ve been awful to you the past couple of months. You should be walking away right now and telling me to go to hell.”

Jake shook his head. “Never. I told you I was going to wait and I did. The question is, are you going to stay this time or keep running?”

Lexi knew the answer instantly. “I’m staying.”

Jake lifted her chin so she had to look him in the eyes. “I’m proud of you, baby. You made a name for yourself. It was hell on me but I understand why you did it and I’m glad I gave you the time to think about what you wanted to do because you were amazing today. All the guys kept talking about the new on-field correspondent and it took all my energy to not knock their heads into a wall.”

Lexi giggled. “Glad to see your temper hasn’t changed.

“When it comes to you, nothing has changed. In my heart you are still mine and I’m going to make sure it stays that way. I told you I was going to wait and I did. I need you to tell me if I can stop waiting.”

Lexi hooked her arms around Jake’s neck and pulled him down so their foreheads were touching. His arms were wrapped around her waist and he pulled her in tighter.

“No more waiting Jake. I’
m here and I want to be with you. I can’t live another day not being held by you, touched by you or kissed by you. I’m so sorry I put us through hell but I’m not sorry about the growth we both made.” She lightly kissed him on the lips and then looked into his eyes again. “I love you and I want to be with you, now and forever.”

Jake let out a breath he must have been holding in since he asked her if he still needed to wait. “Baby, you have no idea how amazing that sounds to me. God, I love you.”

He pushed her up against the pole and linked their hands together as he took over her mouth with his. She felt all her limbs go numb from the pleasure he was shooting through her body. She missed this man, the man who taught her to love and who gave her the time to find herself in the messed up world she was living in.

They pulled apart and both looked at each other. “Where you headed?” He asked.

She shrugged and said, “I think I was kicked out of Margo’s place today, I guess I started putting lumps in her couch. I found a place downtown that I’m thinking about renting…” Jake put his fingers against her lips to stop her from talking.

“Don’t even think about it. You’re coming home with me. You won’t be leaving my sight unless absolutely necessary.”

Lexi was hoping he was going to say that. “My bags are packed, lead the way handsome.

                                                        ***

Jake made her close her eyes all the way to his house. He wanted his residence to be a surprise. He couldn’t believe his life was fully complete now. He had his girl and there was no way in hell he was going to lose her now.

He parked in the driveway and cut the engine of his new Land Rover. He couldn’t help himself, he loved his Jeep but he wanted a little
upgrade. Lexi seemed to like it a lot because when she slipped into the passenger seat she gave him a look that was full of lust. Yes, his night got ten times better.

When he pulled into the driveway, he put the car in park, ran around to the passenger side and opened the door for her. “Keep your eyes closed.”

“Jake, I don’t understand why this is such a big deal.”

He didn’t answer her but instead pulled her in front of the house. He stood behind her and held onto her shoulders. He leaned down so his lips were pressed against her ear making her shiver. “Ok baby. Open those beautiful baby blues of yours.”

Jake knew the moment she opened her eyes because he heard her gasp as her hands went directly to her mouth. She spun around in his arms and looked at him in shock. Tears were welling up in her eyes. She shook her head and then kissed him, gently.

“Jake, you bought the beach house.”

He gripped her hand and brought her into the house that now felt like home since she was with him. “Yes, I did. It held too many amazing memories not to have it in my life, just like you.”

She just kept shaking her head in astonishment. “I can’t believe you bought it.” She walked out to the sliding glass doors that spanned the whole back wall and opened them up. The sea breeze filled the air and all the memories they had together over their winter break flowed through his mind all over again.

He slid up next to her and wrapped his arms around her. They both looked out at the ocean and soaked up the atmosphere that once was their winter haven but now will forever be their home.

“This is so amazing.” He kissed her temple and twirled her around in his arms so she was facing him.

“You’re amazing. The most amazing person I’ve ever met.” He kissed her on her nose and smiled brightly at her. “I love you so much Lexi and want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you, making more memories in this house. You’re moving in with me, right?”

Her bright smile eclipsed his heart. “I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. This is seriously, the most romantic thing ever.” She playfully swatted his shoulder. “You’re scoring major points, big guy.”

Laughing, Jake placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. “I just want to make you happy.”

“You do, every damn day of my life.” She kissed him again and whispered in his ear. “I love you so much, Jake.”

“Music to my ears, babe.”

In that moment, Jake didn’t think he could be any happier. He had the life he always wanted, a successful career and the girl of his dreams. He was waiting for someone to pinch him because he wasn’t sure if it was all real.

Lexi led him into the house, pulled off her blouse and threw it on the floor. Yes, he was the luckiest man in the world. Life didn’t get better than this.

She wiggled her little finger at him and said, “I have a couple of months to make up to you for treating you so terribly and I have a couple of ways on how to do so in mind. Follow me big guy.” She sauntered off to the bedroom and Jake quickly followed her while pulling each article of clothing off his body as he trailed after her. He was so damn lucky.

Epilogue

He was engaged. He couldn’t believe he actually did it. He pulled the trigger and finally gave himself over to one woman, the woman of his dreams. Mason looked up at Brooke as she straddled his lap and worked him up and down. She was gorgeous with her brown locks flowing over her shoulders, greens eyes piercing his soul and slight body that starred in his sexual fantasies. She pretty much rocked his world.

Never did he think he would be ready for marriage but after she worked with him all through the summer after graduation, gave him massages and helped him reach his dreams of becoming a starting wide receiver for the Denver Stallions, he knew it was time to make her his…for life.

Asking Brooke’s dad for permission to marry his daughter was beyond nerve racking but the rich fucker didn’t seem to mind too much that Mason wanted to whisk his daughter away. The man was a massive prick but also could give two fucks about what really went on with his daughter, as long as she was happy and supported.

Mason was now making a decent paycheck so he was able to get them an amazing apartment looking over the Denver skyline and it was close to the stadium which was convenient for Mason. He was starting a new life and he just made sure Brooke was a part of it by asking her to marry him.

She continued to gyrate her hips up and down, driving him crazy. Sex had always been amazing with Brooke. She was conservative on the outside, thanks to her rich upbringing, but she was crazy in bed. She did shit to Mason that he didn’t think women ever wanted to do which was another reason to tie her down. She loved to please her man.

“Fuck, babe. That feels good.”

“I’m going to fucking come, Mase.”

She was also very expressive in bed which Mason appreciated. He liked to know he was doing a good job, well…she was doing all the work at the current moment but still, it was his dick that was applying the pressure.

Brooke gripped his chest, dug her fingernails into his skin and threw her head back in ecstasy. Her inner walls contracted around Mason’s cock as she continued to slam down on him. His balls tightened from the sensation pouring through him and he finally found his release. He felt every last drop he had to offer explode into Brooke’s center. She was on birth control so using a condom never crossed his mind and he was grateful for it because he couldn’t get over the feeling of being wrapped up without any barrier in her sweet, moist center. It was amazing.
