“You are so damn good.” Brooke said as she rested her head on his chest. “Plus, you’re damn fine.”
“Thanks, babe. I would also like to say that I’m an attached man.” He kissed her ring finger to remind her of their impending nuptials. “When do you want to get married?”
She didn’t respond right away so he thought that she might have drifted off to sleep until she lifted her head and stared down at him.
“I don’t know. We’re in no hurry.”
What woman wasn’t in a hurry to get married? Now that he thought about it, he would have thought she would have already set a date, booked a venue and already picked out a wedding dress by now. Her lack of excitement was a bit concerning.
“You want to get married, right Brooke?”
She sat up but still straddled him. “Of course. Mrs. Brooke Dashel. Has a good ring to it, don’t you think?”
Smiling up at her, he agreed. “I think so. You sound good with my name attached to yours.”
She shrugged her shoulders and then got off of him to go to the bathroom. He watched her beautiful ass sway back and forth as she sauntered off to the connecting bathroom.
Their room was made up of plush carpets, neutral tones and a massive four-post bed in the middle. Brooke loved being tied up and Mason loved doing it at the same time. They were making a home for each other and Mason had to laugh at himself because he never thought he would see the day when he would be shacking up with a girl, proposing and thinking about actually starting a family.
Brooke came out of the bathroom, fully clothed and hair brushed to perfection. She put on her shoes and grabbed her purse.
“I’m heading out to hang with some friends. I’ll catch you later, Mase.”
“Wait? What?” Mason sat up in bed, completely confused as to what the hell just happened.
“I promised some friends I would meet up with them.”
Friends? When the hell did she make friends?
“Ok, but I thought we were going to hang out all night. I was kind of looking forward to tying you up and then banging the fuck out of you.”
She walked over to him, patted his face gently and said, “Don’t wait up.” She kissed his lips gently and then left him alone in their bed.
What the fuck? Her nonchalant attitude was a little frightening.
He wanted it all; the job, the wife, the family…everything. He wanted it all with Brooke, he wanted a life with her and a family. She was it for him even though she might currently be acting a little strange.
The minute he saw Brooke for the first time, he knew he wouldn’t be able to shake her. She was a bit of an addiction
for him and even though recently she had been acting strange, he loved her. He loved her so damn much that he would be lost without her. Asking her to marry him was one of the best decisions he ever made.
Or so he thought…
