“Concentrate on Michael, baby. I’ll take care of you.” Kane’s
hands brushed down her back again in a long, slow caress.

She almost arched into his hand but held back. It felt so
good, but she wanted to bring Michael to pleasure before Kane shredded the last
of her control. Alana was amazed at the response they could draw from her. She
went wild at their touch and she wouldn’t change that, but she wanted to show
them she could do the same to them.

She cupped Michael’s balls and squeezed when she sucked him
deep. As her mouth moved up and down his length, he moaned and his fingers
tightened in her hair. She kept up the work and his reactions only fueled her hunger.
She could feel the slick wetness on her labia and thighs, but was too caught up
in her desire to send Michael over the edge.

Michael’s hips rose at the same time as she felt something
cool drizzle over the tight ring. She tensed and took a deep breath to calm her
nerves.

“Focus on me. Give me what I need, Alana.” Michael tugged on
her hair to get her attention.

She licked along the length of his dick. She did what he
asked. She focused on him, but was aware of Kane’s fingers smoothing the slick
oil around her back entrance. Michael’s hand guided her head into a slow
rhythm. She sucked and used her fingers to trace along his dick in between
teasing his balls with her nails.

Michael groaned. She tensed when fingers eased under her.
They brushed across her labia and slipped between them. She groaned and rocked
against those fingers. As the tightening hunger in her built, she sucked at
Michael’s cock deeper. His hand in her hair became more urgent while it guided
her over his shaft. Groans and words mingled together, becoming almost
unintelligible. The sounds thrilled her and she wanted to draw even more from
him. She took him deep and on the way back up lightly scraped her teeth to add
even more sensation.

A thick finger pushed on her tight rosette at the same
moment when two fingers rubbed at her clit. She moaned. That drew a ragged
groan from Michael and his pelvis bucked up into her descending mouth. His seed
spurted against the back of her throat. She swallowed convulsively and kept the
suction until he’d relaxed back into the bed and his hand released its grip.

She lifted her head and met his eyes.

“Woman, you’ve wrecked me.” His voice sounded rough. His fingers
combed through her hair. “Now, I want to watch Kane tease and stretch your ass
a little before he fucks you. I want to see the pleasure wash over your face.”

She opened her mouth to tease him, but Kane’s finger slipped
slowly into her ass. The strangeness of having something going into her ass
took her breath. The sting didn’t hurt too badly, but the fullness and
awareness when his finger moved inside and then withdrew riveted her. The
fingers of his other hand circled her clit slowly.

She rocked into the rubbing torment, taking the finger in
her ass deeper at the same time. The two sensations blended and her body burned
for more. Her heart raced and the heated arousal tightened even more. Kane knew
just where to touch.

“She’s enjoying that. Why don’t you slide into her Kane?”
Michael combed his fingers through her hair.

She felt the slow brush all the way through her
oversensitized body.

“She’s squeezing my finger. Let me see if I can get this
small plug in and I’ll fuck her while she’s wearing it.” Kane pulled his finger
from her and reached for the plug and lube.

It took her a moment to realize what he was doing. The
pleasure haze in her mind was so thick she didn’t grasp he meant to do until
she heard the squirt of lube again.

“You’re going to love this.” Kane’s hand slipped back under
her and settled on her clit again. Something pressed tight to her rear.

“Show me.” Alana strained back into his touch. She was ready
for this. She wanted the closeness that came with being with both of them.

“Tell me if this hurts.” Kane dropped a kiss on her back.

“I will. Make it feel good for me, Kane.” Alana looked back
over her shoulder and smiled at him.

“It will, but I’m not going to let you come until my cock is
inside you.” His finger flicked over her clit.

“Better get to it then, or your fingers might do the job
instead of your cock,” she teased and winked at him.

He nudged the plug over her back entrance. “This isn’t
something you hurry. Now be patient and just feel. Maybe Michael can give you
something to think about.”

Michael moved out from beneath her and edged closer to her
side. His fingers tugged at her nipple. He began playing. His hand cupped and squeezed
and then his fingertips would tease around the edge of her nipple. Her breath
caught in her throat when he twisted the nipple at the same moment Kane lodged
the plug more firmly against the tight ring. The first part wedged inside and
she tensed.

“Relax, baby and just concentrate on what Michael is doing
to you.” Kane kept circling her clit, but held the plug still for a moment.

“Tell me what you want.” Michael’s fingers flicked over her
nipples. “How do you want me to touch you, Alana?”

She swallowed and drew in a shaky breath. “I want you to
suck my nipples.”

“I can do that.” He rolled onto his back and eased partway
underneath her.

Hot breath feathered over her nipple. His lips closed around
one of the hardened peaks and tugged a little. Alana moaned and her back
arched, pressing down. She wanted a firmer touch, but even that light touch
felt so good. His hand cupped her breast and squeezed. Michael’s tongue circled
her nipple before he took it deep into his mouth. Kane’s fingers flicked over
her clit while he worked the plug a little deeper. The sharp pluck at her
breast and the fingers at her clit kept her body from tensing. The wide part
slipped inside and the top portion settled against her.

“It’s in and I’m ready. Hearing you and watching your body
arch and twist for more has been torture.” Kane moved closer.

She felt his cock brush her thigh. Michael released her
nipple and eased out from under her when Kane’s hands left her. She heard a rip
and knew it was the foil of a condom. Kane’s hand swept around his fingers
settled over her clit again.

His cock nudged her pussy. She rocked back into him.

“Be still, baby. At least until I can get inside you. I don’t
want to come before I feel your pussy clenching around me.” His arm tightened
around her waist.

“Hurry, I need you inside me.” She drew in a shaky breath
and tried to stay still. She wanted to shove back and take him deep, but also
wanted to prolong the sweet, sharp torment.

His dick slowly sank into her. Talented fingers danced over Alana’s
clit in a steady rhythm. All thought of savoring the sensations fled beneath
his skillful fingers and the plunge of his shaft. She jammed back against him.
The tight, stretched feeling of the plug in her ass blended with the riot of
pleasure building from his thrusting cock and the delicious circles over her
clit. It wouldn’t take long before she came.

Her fingers clenched on the sheet. She bucked back into him.
Her breath rasped in her throat. He touched her in all the right ways. Her
desire rose to an even higher peak. His hips surged hard against her buttocks.

“Damn, Alana, I want this. I need you.” His voice was harsh while
he sought his pleasure.

She couldn’t respond beyond a moan when her orgasm ripped
through her body. She collapsed to her elbows, but shoved back, trying to
extend the intense sensation. Each move enhanced the pleasure still rippling
through her body. Kane rammed into her faster and harder. He groaned and held
her close to him as he came. He continued to grind against her before his
weight slowly came down over her, but not completely on her.

“Getting the phone call and hearing you’d been attacked
almost sent me into a rage.” Alana looked over and met Michael’s eyes when Kane’s
cock slowly eased out of her. “I don’t know if I could have kept it in check if
you’d been taken.”

“I needed it just as much. All I could think about is they
could have taken you too.” Michael dragged her to him in a fierce hug.

“We all had to have it.” Kane flopped down on the bed on her
other side. “I know they’re just trying to distract us from the search, but it
feels personal.”

“I think they’re hoping I’ll be taken off the case. It’s
happened before when an agent’s family has been attacked.”

“I didn’t know that.” Michael frowned. “I’m not sure if any
other person here would either. The only time we deal with the Protectorate is
when they need our help or we call for theirs.”

“My guess is that it’s whoever they’re working with. They’ve
had some dealings with the Protectorate and asked the witches what would make
me the craziest.” Alana sighed. Now that she’d calmed down a little and thought
about it, the incident did show a level of familiarity with the Protectorate
inner workings that brief, infrequent contact wouldn’t provide.

“Well, it’s a start. Maybe we can discover something about
who this is based on that knowledge.” Kane shrugged. “How about we do a little
cuddling just to ensure we’re all calm and then we’ll play again?”

Chapter Twenty-Six

Alana felt a nudge on her shoulder and blearily opened her
eyes. Kane leaned over the bed, his hand still on her shoulder. Damn, she was
tired. She glanced at the clock. The glowing red numbers read three-thirty. She
frowned up at Kane when he straightened.

“We have to go. Put on your uniform. They’ve made some
progress while we’ve been sleeping.” Kane grabbed his shirt from the end of the
bed. His eyes shined brightly as if he were wide awake and ready to go.

She rolled to the edge of the bed and swung her legs over
the side. After taking a deep breath, she tried to force some energy through
her body. Her legs felt weighted so she took a moment more to glance around the
room. Michael stood by the closet, a shirt hanging over his shoulder, as he
buttoned a pair of jeans. He looked as tired as she felt.

She rose and stretched before heading toward the closet. Her
eyelids felt heavy and she could barely focus. She took the uniform into the
bathroom so she could at least put on a little foundation while she was getting
dressed.

Alana quickly dressed and put on a little makeup to disguise
her lack of sleep. Not that she thought it would work. Her mind felt sluggish
and she knew her steps were dragging. A shot of caffeine was definitely a
requirement today. Coffee would be perfect, but she knew it wouldn’t be
provided.

“Ready?” Kane asked.

“As I can be. I’ll need an energy drink or something. I feel
as if I’m walking through fog right now.” She sighed and rubbed at a corner of
her eye.

“Here.” Michael walked over and handed her one of the two
small bottles of energy booster he held. “I could use one myself. Now let’s see
what they found out.”

“I’m sure they wouldn’t have called us simply to give us an
update. They have something solid.” Alana downed the energy drink in a single
gulp.

“They said your commander would be calling you shortly.”
Kane curved an arm around her back and his palm cupped her hip.

When they passed the side table near the bedroom door, she
snagged her purse off it. She’d need it if Dillon was supposed to call. They
left the house and quietly climbed into the Jeep. As the Jeep pulled out of
their driveway, she acknowledged she was lucky the energy drink did work on
shifters. It wasn’t the huge rush of alertness that humans or even witches
experienced from the drink, but it would ensure she was ready to face the day. She
had no idea what Dillon had to talk to her about and was too uncertain about
the situation to take a guess.

Her phone rang as they were entering the city limits. She
barely glanced at it to make sure it was Dillon’s number before answering.

“Hi, Dillon,” she said while she relaxed back into the comfy
seat.

“Morning, Alana. I don’t know how much you’ve been filled in
about what’s happened overnight. So tell me what you know.” Dillon sounded
ragged and his voice was a little on the fast side. Maybe he’d had a little too
much caffeine of the last few hours.

“I’m totally out of the loop. We just got a call that there
had been progress. I assumed we’d be filled in when we arrived at the station.”
Alana frowned. Not exactly her favorite condition, but she could deal with it
as long as she wasn’t walking blind into a possibly dangerous situation.

“Oh, yeah, they’ve made huge progress. They can fill you in
on the details. The upshot of it is they’ve secured one of the witches and she
wants a deal in exchange for information. She’s only going to talk to someone
authorized by the Protectorate to offer something.”

Alana’s first inclination was to tell him the woman could
shove any deal, but then again, the witch probably wouldn’t try unless she had
something she thought was important enough to get her leniency. She thought of
those people who had been kidnapped. They needed to find out what happened to
them even if it was simply offering closure to the families.

“What am I authorized to offer her?” Alana centered her
thoughts and took her small tablet computer out to take notes about the deals.

“It will depend on what she gives us, information, her
cohorts or those she helped kidnap. The return of any of those people is
important,” Dillon began.

Alana listened and asked questions about specifics. The call
ended when they stopped at the Devoe police station. She knew what she could
offer, but regardless of how willing she was to tell all, the witch wasn’t
going to get a walk. There was too much evidence pointing to her guilt. Alana had
to learn exactly what they had against the witch, but that was something they
could outline before she went in to talk with the witch.

“Ready, sexy?” Michael opened her door and helped her out
onto the pavement of the parking lot.

“Keep the sexy for later. Right now, I need to focus.” She
cupped Michael’s face.

Lights forced back the darkness of the night, but the area
outside of that bright glow seemed pitch black. Alana walked with them into the
station. A uniformed officer was stationed by a reception desk, which served as
a funnel point back into the offices and interrogation rooms of the multi-level
building. Another officer braced against the desk and talked to the other man,
but stopped when he noticed them enter the building.

“Hi Michael, Kane and you’re Alana right?” The officer
strode forward with his hand outstretched.

Alana tilted her head and looked at him. He was wolf, but
young. Probably barely out of the police academy. She didn’t recognize him, but
held out her hand. When she considered his age, it wasn’t a surprise that she
didn’t know him.

“Yes, I’m Alana.” She nodded.

“Ted Grant,” he said and shook her hand. “I’ll show you back
to the briefing room where they’re waiting to talk to you.”

After she checked her gun, he led them back through the
single door flanked by the weapons detector. She glanced at the officers as
they passed them, but stayed focused on what she had to do. She wasn’t even
sure who they had. Her anger rose every time she thought about the people
behind this situation. Pushing the rush of emotion down, she walked silently
down the hallway. She had to be as in control as possible.

The officer stopped outside a door, knocked once and then
opened the door. Alana had expected Mark, maybe the chief from Corona Springs,
and possibly someone from the Council. They were there plus at least three
other people she didn’t recognize.

“Why don’t you take a seat? You’ve heard from your
commander, Alana?” Carson Samuels, from the Witch Council, gestured to three
vacant seats.

“Yes, and Dillon gave me a rundown of acceptable deals. He
said the various departments involved needed to agree on the terms before I go
in there. I’ll also want to know how she was caught and what evidence you have.
What you know she’s done.” Alana sat in the middle seat and put her tablet on
the table.

“We’ll fill you in on everything we’ve learned first and
then we’ll get to what’s an acceptable deal for her,” Mark said from the end of
the table where he sat with Carson Samuels and Familiar Councilman, Will
Emerson.

“All right, so who do you have in there and how did you
catch her?” Michael sat on her left.

“Her name is Michelle Taylor. I don’t think you know her.
She graduated school a year before their sister Gina.” Carson glanced from
Alana to the two men on either side of her.

“This is what she looks like.” Mark picked up a small remote
and activated one of the screens on the wall.

A blonde woman stood in front of a white wall. With expertly
applied makeup and elegant clothing, she almost looked as if she was about to
step out onto a city street instead of straight into lockup. After considering
what Michelle had been doing, Alana could tell the woman wouldn’t have involved
herself with any shifters. Even her contact with other witches might be
limited.

“I’ve seen her with some of Gina’s friends around town. Only
two or three of them though, never the whole group that gets together with
Gina.” Michael frowned and seemed to be thinking.

Alana knew he now had real hope Gina simply hated Alana and
had elitist leanings. She just hoped their sister was only loosely associated
with Michelle. Alana had to keep a little doubt about Gina though until she had
solid proof. She didn’t want to miss anything. She put her hand over his on the
table. He turned his palm up to hers and squeezed gently.

“The facts we’ve gathered point to Michelle being friends
with a couple of Gina’s friends. She was on the fringe of the group of people
your sister associates with, but no one ever remembers seeing her with Gina. We
checked every traffic and security camera we could get along with social
networking sites, although Michelle had only a token presence there.” Mark
drummed his fingers on the table. His tablet was within easy reach.

“So how did you connect her to the attacks and
disappearances?” Alana needed to know more. None of them knew if time was
important here. Michelle could be hoping that asking for a deal from a
Protectorate representative would take days to accomplish. She might want time
for her friends to notice she was missing and get in contact with the others.

“The cell phone from Michael’s attackers. It had calls from
a prepaid number. Unlike the mobiles used by the attackers, hers still had the
GPS enabled, but we were also able to trace it directly back to her. She used
her debit card on most of the purchases including the initial purchase of the cell
and minutes, as well as registering the purchase under her grandmother’s name.”
Mark leaned forward and glanced down at the tablet as if to make sure of his
facts.

The woman had either been confident no one would ever catch
any of the men or simply didn’t think beyond buying the prepaid phone. Alana
was glad whatever the reason was. Still, she knew there had to be more than
that.

“What else do you have on her? You know a good attorney
could destroy that. She bought the phone and minutes for someone else.” Alana
leaned forward.

“She had the phone with her. In her purse actually. There
was also a list found at her residence with checked off names. And she has a
definite connection to one of the missing women. Once we found the paper with each
missing woman marked off, we checked her bank account.” Noble Parker leaned
back in his chair, tipping it back on two legs.

“She wasn’t simply doing this because she hates Familiars,
was she? And what was the connection to the victim?” Alana sighed. Greed hadn’t
been high on her list of primary motives since no ransom was ever asked for any
of the missing. Had it been her primary motivation all along or was it simply a
secondary benefit of what they were doing?

“Michelle was dating a wizard, Matt. He moved here from
Boston. He met Sandy Jennings days before she disappeared. According to Matt,
the connection was so strong he broke up with Michelle that day so he could
date Sandy. They had two dates and then she disappeared.” Will Emerson scowled.

Alana frowned. Jealousy and anger over losing her date. That
was why one person was taken. Sandy was a wolf shifter. If the connection was
that strong, Sandy was likely Matt’s Familiar and he her mate.

“No, she’s been getting payments from a company, which is
supposedly in Delaware, but the address is bogus and so is the company. We
haven’t yet traced where and who it really is. That’s going to take more time
than we’ve had so far.” Mark grimaced. “The shifters and witch who were taken
weren’t the only ones on the list.”

“The humans too?” Kane frowned and put his hand on Alana’s
arm.

“Every one of them, along with information on their
schedules and where they live just like the shifters on the list. There were a
couple of names that hadn’t been reported missing yet.” Captain Parker raised a
brow.

“Are they missing?” Michael asked.

“One probably is. She hasn’t been to work, but it’s a
waitress job and they have a lot of walk outs. So they called her cell twice,
got no answer and decided she’d left without notice. The other is safe and we
have people watching her. That jibes because her name didn’t have a check
beside it.” Mark continued with the explanation. “Oh, and one of the men is
talking about her, but not about who he works for. With enough time, we could
probably get it out of him, but we don’t know if we have it.”

“Damn, anything that tells us what they’re doing with them?”
Alana heard rumble in her own voice as her anger rose.

She didn’t want to give that woman any kind of deal, but
without more information there wasn’t any other way. If there was even a
possibility that those people were alive, they had to do what it took to get
them back.

“What are the deals your commander has authorized?” Carson
asked.

She put her tablet on the table and activated it. She pushed
it across to the Councilman. “Frankly, the lowest one is too lenient.”

The Councilman looked at it. “Yes, it is. We wouldn’t agree
to that based only on the number of people involved. Are you certain he can get
the DA, maybe multiple DAs to agree to this?”

“Dillon could talk you out of your clothes in a blizzard. He’ll
do it and they’ll walk away happy. If he already hasn’t, but I’d bet he’s at
least talked to the DA here and the one in Corona.” Alana didn’t know how he
did it. She didn’t envy him that talent. While it might be useful, the sheer
amount of bureaucratic tangle he waded through on a normal day would drive her
insane.

“We haven’t heard from ours since we talked to her earlier
so he could have.” Mark shrugged. “What’s your strategy for the negotiation?”

“No negotiation. She gets what she earns. There’s enough at
this moment for a hell of a long sentence even with the most lenient jury. We’ll
find more evidence on her, even without the man who’s now talking.” Alana took
a deep breath.
