I’m burning up. My throat is tight, my chest is aching, and my peaks are chafing inside my clothes. My panties are soaking, but I still want her to do more; I want to do more. I’ve never felt so sure of anything in my life, and the sting in the bridge of my nose threatens to spill the emotions I’m drowning in.

She licks her kiss-swollen lips before whispering, “Can I touch you?”

I’m already at the point of no return, and the intense pulsing between my legs demands satisfaction. “Y…yes,” I stutter.

Her lips twitch at the corners. “You do know where?”

“I know. I want you to.”

I hold my breath when her fingers move closer to my center, her thumb brushes across my panties and I blow the air out until my lungs are completely empty. Butterfly strokes up and down the scrap of fabric covering my engorged nub.

“Is this okay?” she asks. I manage to force my eyes open, but I can’t form any words. Instead, I simply nod. “You feel good,” she whispers into my ear. “Your panties are wet, Bunny. That turns me on so much.”

I grip her ass cheek harder, and she yelps. “Mm.”

I clamp down on my lip. I drop my leg to the side, the pressure building deep inside me. “Oh, fuck!” My body contorts as the first wave rolls through me. My climax has taken hold, and there’s no stopping it. “Yes!”

I suck in the air as though I’m suffocating, and Butterfly strokes me over and over, pushing me through my orgasm.

“How was that?” she asks when I stop jerking. The aftershocks jolt down to my feet. “Was it better?”

“That was my first one.” Her mouth drops open, and I continue. “I’ve never gotten off unless I’ve done it myself.”

Her smile stretches across her face.

“Butterfly,” I say, then I pause. I have to return the feeling, but I’ve lost the ability to ask for what I want.

“You don’t have to,” she replies and runs her hand down my thigh. “This is about you, not me.”

I snort a laugh and brush her ponytail over her shoulder, the strands like silk. “But do you want me to?”

She licks her lips. “You have no idea.” Her voice cracks and she swallows. “But being here with you is enough, Bunny. I’d rather you– ahh.” She breathes out a sigh, and her shoulders roll forwards when my fingers touch her scorching pussy.

I don’t expect the way having her in my hand feels so natural; perfect even. I use two fingers to stroke up and down her slit. Her panties are saturated, and I work my tips over the spongy center. Bringing my hand up, I find her clit and apply as much pressure as I use on myself and circle around and around.

“Oh, God, oh,
mmf!
” she cries.

I watch her skin flush and prickle while I tease her nub and rub over her lips. A rush of moisture seeps through the fabric, and she stills. Her back arches up, and her mouth pops open before her head is thrown back.

Her squeal pleases me, and I delight in the fact that I made her come so easily.
That’s how it should be.

Butterfly grips my hair and kisses me hard, thrusting her tongue into my mouth and sucking on my lips. “I needed that.” She lifts off her leg and rests beside me. “Is anything clearer to you, Bunny?”

I close my eyes and breathe out slowly. “Yeah. I like the touch of a woman. I like the kiss, the curves, the sensuality… I’ve been holding back my whole life.” I sit up as the tears begin to fall. “I was always told it was wrong, and I believed it.”

Butterfly strokes down my back. “Do you still feel it’s wrong?”

I wipe the wetness from my face. “No, I don’t. How can something that feels so natural be wrong?”

Chapter 14

I stretch my aching muscles the second I wake up. The memories of last night rush back, and I have to rub my pussy to calm the tingling. It doesn’t help. I squirm against my hand, and I come in less than a minute.

“Good morning,” I whisper and burst into a fit of giggles.

“Somebody’s in a good mood today,” Sadie says, knocking on my door and opening it without waiting for me to answer.

“I am.” I stretch again and wiggle my toes that are sticking out of my covers.

“So your walk did you some good then?” She walks over and sits on my bed.

“You could say that,” I reply and bite my lip. “I feel…refreshed.”

“Who is he?” she asks, teasing me by poking me through the covers.

“Seriously? Why do you think I was with a guy to be happy?” She stops playing and stares. “Can’t I be happy without a guy throwing his dick inside me?”
Not that that mattered anyway, they never pleased me.

“Sorry,” she winces. “It’s just that you were out pretty late, and I thought you’d hooked up with someone.”

I swing my legs out of the bed. “Nope. I didn’t screw anybody last night, Sadie. I’m just a happy little bunny today.” I can’t help the laugh that creeps out of my mouth.

“Okay, you’ve lost it”—Sadie’s eyebrow arches and her eyes widen—“you’ve finally descended into madness.”

I stand up and throw my arms wide, and I know I look a sight with my bed-head and short PJ’s. “How can I be mad when I feel this good?”

“Get a shower, get dressed, or you’ll be late for work.”

“Aye aye, Captain,” I say while saluting her.

Sadie walks out of the room and shouts, “mad!” before she closes my door.

So far I’ve completed four reports, three lots of company research, and put together a contract proposal for a client’s new venture. I’m feeling great today and getting on top of my work pile has me in an even better mood.

Sam pokes his head around my door at the same time he knocks. “Hey, meeting in twenty,” he says, then disappears.

I stare at the door, expecting him to come back in, but he doesn’t. I shrug and continue with my work. My phone begins to ring, and my mood crashes down like a fucking tidal wave when I see my mom’s name on the screen.

“Hi, Mom,” I say and automatically reach into my drawer for my painkillers and bottled water.

“Hello, Jaime,” she chirps. “Change of plans for the weekend. Joseph will be taking us all out for dinner, so I need you to bring something suitable to wear for a nice restaurant.”

“Fine,” I sigh. “I’ll bring my Louboutin’s while I’m at it.”

“Excellent,” she replies and her excitement is deafening.

“Mom, I was kidding. There’s no way I’m bringing those shoes with me.”
Not a fucking chance are they going anywhere near her house. I’ll never get them back.

“Jaime, that’s not funny. You know I love those shoes on you. They make your legs look so long and slender.”

“That’s the point, Mom. You like to tell every guy to look at them.”
And we wear the same size…

“Well, I’m just proud of my beautiful daughter,” she says defensively. “Is that so wrong?”

I raise my hand and slam it down on my armrest. “When you’re practically pimping me out, yes!”

She scoffs. “That’s preposterous. I’m only thinking of you, you know. A lovely woman like you with no man around. It’s a shame to put your youth to waste. I’m not getting any younger, Jaime, and I’m beginning to think I’m not going to get any grandchildren any time soon.”

“Oh, God,” I groan.

“Blasphemy is not appropriate, Jaime.”

“Mom, I have to go to a meeting now. I’ll see you this weekend.” I don’t give her a chance to reply before I end the call.

I get up from my desk and head to the conference room.

I come out of the meeting from Hell. Apart from being praised for a job well done, Sam stared at me almost the entire time we were in there. I have no fucking idea what his problem is, or why he thinks he can get away with his behavior.

“Jaime, wait up,” he says and jogs up to me. I quicken my pace. “Hey.” He grabs my elbow to stop me.

“What do you think you’re doing?” I ask, glaring at his hand until he lets go. “Don’t ever do that to me again, Sam.”

“Sorry, I just wanted to catch up with you,” he says, panting. Maybe Bobby could train him. “I wanted to ask if you were doing anything later?”

I cross my arms over my chest, and his eyes drop to the area. I lift up, so I’m squashing down my tits. “Why?” His embarrassment is uncomfortable even for me.

He rubs the back of his neck. “Look, I’m sorry about the other day, okay? I’m just…attracted to you, Jaime. I can’t help it.”

I say nothing, but only because I’m worried about how many expletives are about to come out of my mouth, in the middle of the corridor, in a busy office building.

“I…want to apologize properly,” he says with a nervous chuckle. “I’d love to take you to dinner, or even a movie?”

I step closer to Sam, and I see a bead of sweat at his temple that makes me gag. “Don’t speak to me unless it’s for work, okay? I don’t want to see you, hear you, or even feel your presence near my office. If I do, I’ll take this further.”

He sneers. “I could have you fired, you know. I could dismiss you right now,” he snaps while pointing to the floor.

I let my head fall back and grin slyly. “Go ahead, Sam. I’m pretty sure that the CEO of the company would love to hear all about how you fired me because I refused your advances.” His face falls and turns a deathly shade of white. “Didn’t you hear? I got a glowing fucking report, so making up some bullshit excuse about my work won’t cut it, asshole.”

“You’re a bitch, Jaime.” He turns and speed-walks away from me.

“So I’m told!” I call after him.

I spot Sadie and Mitch at the back of the coffee shop, holding hands and nuzzling each other’s noses. Ah, young love. I smile to myself at how adorable they are. I’m glad Sadie’s happy; she deserves it, and I know Mitch will be good for her. Well, he has to be; otherwise, her brother will kick his ass, but not before I do.

“Hi you two,” I sing-song. “How is it in Smushville today?” I take my seat and put my purse down on the floor.

“It’s all sunshine and rainbows,” she gushes, and Mitch kisses her cheek. “And the forecast looks just as great.”

“I’m happy for you,” I tell her and lean over for a hug. “Where’s Cade?” No sooner do the words leave my mouth, Cade and Mark walk in and over to us.

The conversations pick up, and I tell them about what happened at the office. My friends are ready to put a lynch mob together—pitchforks and everything.

“That’s not necessary, guys, but thanks. He’s a dickhead, and I can handle him.”

“Handle who?” Joss sits in the empty chair next to me, the smell of fresh shampoo wafting over to me. “What have I missed?”

“Just Jai’s dickhead of a boss coming onto her again,” Cade replies, rolling her eyes. “You should report him, Jai.”

“I can handle him,” I say pleasantly through gritted teeth. “Can we talk about something else now?” They know me well enough to leave that where it is and change the subject.

Kyle brings over a tray of cups, each filled with a different coffee for each of us. I look down to my heartless drink and pout.

“Where’s my heart, Kyle?” I joke. “I can’t go on without my heart.”

His brows pinch together. “Um…we don’t have a heart stencil. We do have a palm tree and a coffee bean?”

“Yeah you do,” I reply, pointing to the counter. “I have them all the time.”

He shakes his head. “Sorry, but if you get that on yours, then it’s not one that belongs to the shop.” He walks away with the empty tray.

I turn to Joss, keeping my voice low. “How do you do that, then?” Her neck flushes up to her high cheekbones, and I keep my hands steady before I reach up to touch her face.

“I have separate ones for my friends,” she shrugs, but I don’t recall seeing any ‘special’ ones on their drinks in the past. “You’re the only one who wants them, so…”

“Oh, okay.” She picks up her drink, and I watch her as she brings the cup to her lips. “I feel all special now.”

Her lips quirk. As she lowers her cup to the table, her arm rests so close to mine I can feel the heat emanating off of her skin. I want to slide mine to hers, to see if she feels as soft as she looks.

No, Jaime. You’ve only just got past the awkwardness between you. Don’t screw it up now!

A beeping sounds, and we all look around to see where it’s coming from. Joss lifts her wrist and silences the alarm on her watch.

“Excuse me. I have to go.”

“Where?” Sadie and Cade ask at the same time.

“I’m helping my mom tonight,” she replies and looks at me. “I’ll see you soon.”

“She’s acting so strange,” I say and watch her walk out of the door, her ass swinging as she walks. “Please tell me I’m not the only one to notice it.”

“She’s Joss,” Sadie says nonchalantly. “She’s always been that way, I guess.”

I look at my watch. It’s eight forty-five and the night hasn’t even begun yet. I wonder where the hell she’s going, and I’m in a worse mood than before. Now that she’s left I feel even more like the fifth wheel in the couples-only party, and not the kind Roger would like.

I try not to laugh at my thoughts, but I can’t help my mind wandering to what I’ll be doing in an hour’s time.

My body remembers the touch of female fingers, stroking, caressing, teasing, and the way soft lips kissed and grazed… My core temperature is heating up with the thoughts of Butterfly’s damp apex in my hand; the way her nub hardened as I circled it…
