I also miss the musical play on
Broadway. I think the reason why Sondheim shows go over so well in revival is
because they have three-dimensional
characters and each has a dramatic arc.
My reaction to Spring Awakening was
very positive, because Steven Sater and
Duncan Sheik told the story so well.

In 2005, we knew we'd have to find a
new home for our show, as the Douglas
Fairbanks and the rest of the theatres in
that complex on 42nd Street between
Ninth and Tenth avenues were scheduled to be torn down. Like a gypsy, Forbidden Broadway was soon on the move
again.
