Joseph Ray

Joseph Ray studied at The Center for Brain Research at the University of Rochester, receiving his Ph.D. in 1965. Studying learning in various animal species, he published several “firsts,” disputing the dominant but incorrect theory of behaviorism. Meditation and the writings of G. I. Gurdjieff led him to ancient Egyptian thought and an effort to deepen his understanding of the remarkable teachings of the ancient philosopher-scientist-priests.
