The kernel of glass on the top of the suitcase was about the size of a pea, and should not be confused with the rectangular shaped piece of glass located on the
outside
sill of the window. This piece of glass was not photographed with a scale, but looked to be approximately one and one half to three inches in length.

Ibid. John Ramsey seemed to underscore my belief that he had not intended to go golfing when he referred to his and Patsy’s state of mind in his book,
The Other Side of Suffering,
pages 108 - 109.
He indicates that in the days immediately following the murder of their daughter, it was difficult for either one of them to muster the will to eat, and that they could barely find the energy to get out of bed. He remarked that the emotional state of one suffering this type of tragedy didn’t lend itself to resuming the daily activities of recreational exercise. This disclosure made it seem highly unlikely that Ramsey intended to play a round of golf, so I have to reiterate the question: Why was he asking that his bag of clubs be recovered from the home during the execution of the police search warrant?

The exact timing of French’s and White’s visit to the basement is difficult to pin down. French was attempting to control the movements of people arriving at the house, and he may not have inspected the basement until after Fleet White conducted his own first tour of the area.
