  • ½ avocado (or 1 small)
  • 2 cups strong greens (or 1 cup mild and 1 cup strong)

77. Strawbanana Crush

While not very sweet this smoothie is sure to refresh you. My daughter gets rather specific with her scoring. She gave this 8.75. You gotta love it.

  • 1 cup water
  • 1.5 cups strawberries (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 banana
  • 2 cups mild leaves (spinach, kale, chickweed)
  • 2 dates
  • ¼ - ½ cup cilantro/coriander

Add water or ice to create the desired temperature and consistency. Remember if you’re using fresh strawberries you will probably need at least a cup of ice.

79. Quick And Easy Mint Smoothie

Just what the title says, quick and easy. This does need a little sweetening agent. I always prefer to put dried fruit in such as dried figs, dried apricots, peaches, rather than opting for agave or stevia. The other way to sweeten it could be with half a nice ripe pear.

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup mint
  • 1 cup mild greens
  • ½ avocado
  • 2 dried fruit (see sweetening ideas above) or soft dates

Add ice and blend for your desired temperature and consistency

80. Quick And Easy Mint Smoothie Mark 2

This is very simple to make and there’s not much to it. You can’t ignore the 9.9 near perfect scoring from the resident kid on hand.

  • Blend ¼ cup cashews with 1 cup water

Then add

  • 1 cup mint
  • 1 cup mild greens
  • 2 cup ice
  • 2 dried fruit or soft dates

81. Berry Appealing

I like this one because of its hint of natural sweetness. Feel free to add a date or other sweetener if needed. Family and friends liked it the way it is. You’ll find that the sea salt actually brings out the sweetness of the berries!

  • 1 cup water
  • 1.5 cups frozen mixed berries (your choice or from a prepack)
  • ½ avocado
  • ¼ cup parsley
  • 1 cup mild greens (try mizuna, spinach, kale)
  • 1 cup strong green (try rocket)
  • 2 pinches sea salt (up to ¼ tsp)
  • Pinch cayenne pepper

Add ice as desired and blend

Recommendation

  • Optional: Add a couple of soft (medjool or other) dates without the stones! Or dried fruit or agave syrup if you desire.

82. Classic Banana

This is a simple basic formula. It’s included because it works. I don’t know about you, but sometimes you need to be reminded how simple it can be and how wonderful it is to return to the basics!

  • 2 cups of baby spinach or other mild greens
  • 1 cup water

85. Classic Strawberry

Strawberries are sometimes not very sweet so unless your berries are of the sweeter kind you will have to add something. I have suggested dried figs. They are sweet and caramel-like and also have seeds which complement the seeds in the strawberries. Or add any dried fruit, an apple, or soft dates (less recommended are agave, honey or stevia). For a smoother blend than figs, add dates or dried peaches.

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cup strawberries (frozen or fresh)
  • ½ avocado
  • 2 dried figs, chopped (remove the hard stalk)
  • 2 cups of greens (I use 1 cup mild and 1 cup strong such as watercress)
  • Lime juice to taste

Water and or ice as required

86. Rocket Mango Tango

You’ll always win me over with mango. This one is basic, reliable and one of my favorites. Check the strength of your rocket before you commit. The rocket and mango are just great together.

  • 2 cups rocket (or substitute partly or fully with mild greens)
  • 1.5 cups mango (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup water

Ice and water as you need them
