25. Vanilla Pudding Smoothie

This smoothie (which unbelievably almost always scores 10 out of 10) is packed with nutritious brazil nuts, avocado and of course a mountain of leafy greens. It will be THICK so to make it drinkable, add more water ½ cup at a time. Actually I like to eat this one with a spoon, like a pudding dessert.

First blend the nuts and water. Then add in the other ingredients.

  • ½ cup brazil nuts
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 dates (remove the pits of course ;) )
  • ½ avocado
  • 1.5 – 2 tsp vanilla
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 2 cups mild greens (use spinach or chickweed)

Ice if you need it

Recommendation

  • Instead of dates add dried peaches or apricots for even more nutrition. Soak them (adding soak water too) if you want them very smooth.

31. Mint Magic

This mild-flavored smoothie is great with generous helpings of vanilla, spice and mint. Feel free to add extra mint.

The chia gel (if it’s been presoaked in water) ups the ante on the protein amount. You’ll get way more into your system if you blend the chia with the smoothie. Unblended chia gel really gives a great ‘bubble tea’ texture that’s interesting. Actually it’s quite alluring for children!

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ large avocado
  • 4 dates
  • Vanilla 1 tsp essence or ½ tsp powder (or more to taste)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • A pinch of clove or cardamom powder if you are partial to it
  • 1.5 cups greens of your choice (mild greens)
  • ½ cup mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp chia gel (either blend or stir in after for the texture of a bubble tea)

Ice

Recommendation

Dried peaches or apricots or raisins can be used instead of dates. They are more nutritious. Soak them (adding soak water too) if you want them very smooth.
