Washington Post,
June 10, 2006.

The other two mentions were here—Tim Craig and Michael D. Shear, “Allen Flap May Give a Boost to Webb,”
Washington Post,
August 19, 2006:

Allen's campaign has responded to the incident by accusing Webb of tolerating anti-Semitism. During Webb's Democratic primary campaign against lobbyist Harris Miller, Webb's campaign distributed a flier in southwestern Virginia that included a caricature of Miller with wads of money coming out of his pocket. Miller, who is Jewish, decried the flier as anti-Semitic. Webb has said the flier was not intended to be offensive.

And here—Michael D. Shear, “Allen Says He Embraces His Jewish Ancestry,”
Washington Post,
September 20, 2006:

[Allen adviser] Wadhams also accused Webb's campaign of mailing an anti-Semitic flier to Virginia voters during the state's Democratic primary this year. That flier depicted Webb's Jewish opponent, Harris Miller, with money coming out of his pockets. “They have been continuing that anti-Semitic strategy through their paid bloggers,” Wadhams said. Webb spokeswoman Kristian Denny Todd called that charge “completely false.” She said the flier was not anti-Semitic.

According to FBI crime statistics, each year there are about five violent crimes and 35 property crimes for every thousand inhabitants. (Available at:
http://www.fbi.gov/ucr/cius_04/offenses_reported/property_crime/index.html
.) Over eight years, that would amount to 320 violent and property crimes alone for every thousand Americans, not including white-collar crimes such as embezzlement, fraud, tax evasion, insider trading, and so on.
