Seth grinned and pushed the guy a bit farther
from the door, into the depths of the narrow room. There was a
familiarity and safety to the playful, naughty banter with Brian.
“Just down here.” He laughed, already unbuckling his belt and
trying to work out the best position for what they intended to
do.

Brian surprised Seth by brushing his fingers
over Seth’s cheek. He then slid them lower, down Seth’s torso as he
went down to his knees with a small smile. “I hope I won’t get some
pay deducted for having too much fun.”

“All in a day’s work, right?” Seth smiled
down at him, feeling that flush of excitement. In the end, he
decided to just hold on to the shelf next to him for comfort.

“Happy to serve,” replied Brian, gingerly
opening the fly of Seth’s pants, only to pull them down
slightly.

Seth took a deep breath, relaxing into the
guy’s touch. This was what he needed before this ungodly wedding.
The limoncello was rushing in his veins and pulling him into bliss
like a yellow dragon, carrying him far away from the altar.

Brian pulled down Seth’s briefs, and when the
hardening cock sprang free so close to his face, Seth's arousal
skyrocketed. This was so much more entertaining than an evening
with Santo and Vincente.

“You like that? A taste of Italy?” he
panted.

Brian chuckled and looked up at Seth while
moving his hand over Seth’s cock at a slow, languid pace. “I
already like the taste of Italy. What do you have to offer?”

“Authentic flavor of Sicily?” Seth looked at
how big his dick looked in that slim hand and grinned even
wider.

“Sounds good to me.” Brian leaned forward
and closed his eyes as he took the head of Seth’s cock into his
mouth. His tongue went straight for the slit at the top, exploring
it in teasing strokes.

Seth let out a long breath of satisfaction
and slid his hand into Brian’s hair, encouraging him to experiment,
slide his lips farther down the length while tugging at the scrotum
at the same time.

“That’s good.” Seth slowly moved his hips,
forcing his dick in and out of those plump lips, but his heart
froze along with the rest of his body as he saw the door open from
the corner of his eye. He almost stumbled forward but forcibly
pulled Brian’s head away.

Domenico stared at them from the door, a
bulging vein on his forehead only a prelude to what had to happen
within seconds. But the counter in Seth’s head couldn’t prepare him
for the growl of rage that came out of Domenico’s mouth as he moved
forward.

“Dom— What? I mean…” He
didn’t even know what to say, confused by Dom’s sudden presence and
stunned by the
staccato
in his ears.

“Who is that slut?” growled Domenico. Before
Seth could as much as fasten his belt properly, Dom pulled Brian up
and shook him like a rag doll. The boy squealed like a newborn pig,
struggling to keep his pants up.

“He’s Brian…” Seth uttered, backing off into
a corner, but his throat tightened so hard no sound would come out
when he saw the glint of a gun in the darkness. Brian started
frantically crawling for the door as soon as Domenico released him.
Seth wanted to follow on his own two feet, show Domenico what he
thought of his attitude, but he ended up hitting his head on the
low ceiling.

“The fuck are you doing?” Seth hissed and
plopped down to his ass.

“The
fuck
are
you
doing?” The growl coming through
those perfect teeth was like the promise of a painful death.
Domenico grabbed Seth’s hair, yanking him forward to stare into the
barrel of a gun that could easily blow his brains all over the
place.

Seth was sobering up by the second. “Let me
go!” He grabbed Dom’s wrist, but it wouldn’t budge. Within a split
second, his world turned to its side when Domenico slapped his face
against the floor.

“You fucking slut!”

“Don’t you dare call me that!” Seth groaned,
inhaling the dust from the wood as he stumbled up to his
elbows.

“No? The minute I’m not there, you’re off to
screw some shit-brained sissy!” With a sharp pull, Domenico yanked
Seth’s pants down, and the shock of cool air hitting Seth’s skin
sent his senses into overload.

“You’re the one with a fucking girlfriend
I’ve never been told of and other secret lovers! And what the fuck
are you doing? Get off!” Seth tried to push Dom’s face away and
pull his pants back on, which ended up in him stumbling back
headfirst into the floor. There was a sharp pain at his anus, and
it took a moment of pure shock for him to realize he had Dom’s
finger up his ass, and that it was making his tense muscle throb in
pain.

“I’m gay, you idiot.” Domenico pushed Seth’s
cheek into the floor with a low growl. His hand was sweaty and
unpleasant. It just wouldn’t budge. “You cockhungry slut!”

Seth squealed, shocked at the sound of his
own voice. He couldn't believe this was happening to him. “It
hurts! Get off, you pig!” His heart pounded against the floor, and
he struggled to his knees, trying to slip out of the grip, but it
was as if Dom’s arms were made out of concrete. And his finger
moved in the unlubricated passage in a way that was bound to hurt
given the circumstances.

Now
you’re crying,” whispered Dom
into his ear. “You didn’t care what I’d think about your little
escapade behind my back.”

Seth squirmed in his grip, but there was
nowhere his ass could escape the intrusion. No one had ever treated
him with such utter disrespect. Except for Domenico, of course. Of
course. Sweat beaded on his forehead as he did his best not to cry,
just rasping for breath. Any memory of an erection was now long
gone. He grabbed one of the shelves, but nothing could help. It was
as if the walls of the pantry closed around him, ready to bury any
glimpse of free will and comfort forever.

“Are you sorry now that you’re getting
punished?” whispered Domenico, keeping Seth completely still.

“I’m sorry,” he uttered.
All he wanted was for Dom to stop. This wasn’t fun or sexy at all.
He didn’t understand. He thought Dom had other lovers. Why
was
he
not
allowed to? The answer came without him having to voice the
question.

“Have you forgotten you’re mine? How dare
you?” rasped Domenico, all tense on top of him.

Seth didn’t even notice he pushed a jar off
the shelf, only reminded of it when he heard a sharp sound of glass
breaking. How could the fucker be so strong? Seth thought they were
past fucking for power. That Dom wouldn’t hurt him this way again.
“You fuck around as well! How can you do this to me?”

A harsh laugh teased his nape, and with a
last flash of pain, the finger was out. “I don’t want to stick my
cock into your slutty hole. Who else did you fuck behind my back,
huh?”

Seth’s face was red with embarrassment as he
tried to pull up his pants. He had foolishly believed this sort of
fighting was behind them. “No one,” he whimpered, annoyed at the
sound of his voice being so shaky.

Domenico wiped his hand with a paper
handkerchief and slouched forward, arched like an aggressive cat.
“You cheating pig.”

Seth turned around under him, zipping up his
pants, and pushed at Dom’s knee without much force. “It’s a fucking
misunderstanding.” With his pants up he could breathe again, try to
assess the situation. limoncello wasn’t helping.

“Oh, yeah?” growled Domenico, moving to sit a
few inches away from him. “It looked all too clear to me.”

Seth wished there was somewhere he could
move away as well. The way Domenico treated him just now made him
numb all over. “I didn’t know we were exclusive! I thought I was…
I’m sorry,” he said, hiding his face in the shadow when it occurred
to him that Dom might be in fact treating him more seriously than
he had imagined. Yet Domenico had no right to violate him this
way.

“You were
what
?” snapped Domenico,
looking back at him with a scowl. His face looked unreal with the
glow from outside sharply dividing his face between light and
shadow. “I told you you’re mine, I take care of you. Can’t be more
explicit than that.”

Seth swallowed, barely breathing, with a face
so hot he could fry eggs on it. “You want only me?” he whispered,
more confused than anything else.

Domenico groaned, looking at the floor. “You
wouldn’t find me getting sucked off by another man, that’s for
sure. I’m known for my loyalty.”

“I was confused. Santo told me your
girlfriend was like the second coming of Angelina Jolie or some
shit. How was I supposed to know…? And that guy was there, and I
was... sad.” Seth wished he had more of that limoncello right
now.

Domenico slouched, his fingers sliding into
the long hair. “What the fuck? Of course I pretend having
girlfriends!”

Seth sucked his lips into his mouth, feeling
like an idiot. “I don’t know what got into me,” he said, though the
pain in his ass reminded him of how badly he got treated. Not to
mention the gun in his face. Dom promised not to do that ever
again, and yet he broke that promise. Could Seth ever truly trust
him?

“I’ll tell you what got into you.” Domenico
crawled closer to Seth and looked into his eyes, still sharp like a
serrated dagger. “You wanted to come, and I wasn’t there.”

Seth couldn’t stand that gaze, so he looked
away, hugging his own knees. “Dom…”

“What?” Domenico dropped to his ass,
scratching the wooden floor with his nails.

“Do you still like me?” Seth managed after a
longer period of silence. He didn’t know what to say to this whole
fucked-up situation.

“Would you like someone who hurt your pride
this way?” Domenico stretched out his legs, staring at the rows of
preserves in front of him.

Seth leaned his temple
against the wall and hugged himself.
His
pride had been thoroughly
violated. How could Domenico not see that? He flinched when Dom
slowly rose to his feet and moved toward the door. He left without
a word, but each slow, heavy step on the stairs outside spoke
volumes.

Seth stayed in the darkness and couldn’t
comprehend what had just happened. All he knew was that his muscles
hurt and a jar of fig marmalade lay broken next to his foot.
Instead of whetting his appetite, it made him feel queasy.

Chapter
6

Domenico looked into the bright lights of the
Villani house from his quiet place on a bench in the shadow of the
trees. He liked this garden, even on a day like this. He didn’t
feel like leaving yet, pulled close by the smells and sounds of the
people who made him who he was. He would have amounted to nothing
without them, without those walls, even without the horrible weeks
in the cellar.

He caressed the lacquered wood and stared at
the stray leaves on the ground. There weren’t all that many with
gardeners working around the villa every day, but it was November
after all.

He wished he wasn’t alone.

But then, he wasn’t. The touch of fingers on
his shoulders made his muscles tense up. It spoke of familiarity,
so he didn’t try to push the other man away, instead raising his
hands to touch Seth’s warm hand. He closed his eyes when fingers
slid lower down his torso, but something wasn’t quite right. They
were long and slim, so unlike Seth’s thick, rough digits. Bile rose
in Dom’s throat, and he spun his upper body around, ready to
fight.

“No need to get so tense,” the consigliere
said, his narrow lips spreading into a smile that looked decidedly
wolfish in the weak light. His face was just inches away from
Dom’s, and he never pulled his arms away, keeping them all too
close to skin.

“We have an agreement,” said Domenico in a
voice as calm as he was able to produce. “I don’t like the way you
touch me.”

The consigliere pulled back with a sigh and
placed his hands on the backrest of the bench. “Dom, always so
hurtful.” He sighed and pulled out a cigarette. “But I suppose you
do prefer the beefier kind.”

“I’m surprised you still notice me with that
new twink around.” Domenico moved away under the pretense of having
to face him properly, but all he wanted was to be out of the
bastard’s reach.

The consigliere lit his cigarette with a
smirk. “Ah, he’s nothing like you, Dom. Soft as butter.”

Domenico kept a small smile on his lips, but
his stomach convulsed. He had been anything but soft throughout the
time of their so-called relationship. “Good for you. Too much
stress isn’t good at your age.”

The consigliere laughed. “So much spite.
Watch out or you’ll get wrinkles yourself from that sour attitude.”
He walked around the bench and sat down next to Dom, much too close
for his liking.

“I would still be handsome.” Domenico leaned
back, praying to God to give him a reason to go without looking
like a coward. He didn’t want that man anywhere near him.

“Of course you would. With a queue of
admirers. You were getting too hairy for me.” Frederico sucked in
some smoke, glancing at Dom’s profile.

It was hard to keep himself from taking a
big, fat drag of a cigarette, but Domenico didn’t want to seem weak
so he endured the temptation, watching the white swirls in the air.
“It doesn’t seem to deter you from touching me.”

“We had a long time together after all. I saw
you here all alone, thought you needed some attention.”

“I don’t need the attention of an old man,”
muttered Domenico, pretending it was a joke, though he knew
Frederico understood his words were meant to hurt. If he could hack
off Frederico Villani’s head without suffering any consequences, he
would not hesitate.

“I suppose so. Especially now, with my nephew
around, right? I bet you two had fun in Berlin. He left quivering
and came back following you like a puppy. Curious change, don’t you
think?” The consigliere watched Domenico’s every move. A hungering
vulture, ready to strike the moment his intended victim turned his
eyes away.
