Water fell around them, cooling their bodies and adding another element of sensation to her already overloaded senses. There was no emotion between them, no gentle touches—just raw sex. She’d never felt anything like it.

Haydrien began to move in and out, moaning every time he thrust into her. Jack couldn’t stop the squeals of delight when his balls slapped against her pussy.

She loved the deep, guttural sound of his voice and the way his fingers dug into her hips.

“I’m going to fuck you harder, Jacquelyn,” he murmured just before increasing the speed of his thrusts.

Jack cried out, so close to release she could hardly contain it. All of a sudden, Haydrien stopped thrusting and tugged her upward so her back was against his chest, but his cock was still buried inside her. She whimpered in protest and forced her hips back against him.

“Not yet,” he growled as he cupped her breasts.

When she didn’t stop moving right away, he pinched her nipples. She bit her lip and stopped instantly.

“You’ll come when I’m ready for you to, and not before,” he whispered in her ear.

His lips felt soft and gentle against the side of her neck. She dropped her head back and tilted it slightly, giving him better access. He moaned his approval as he gently kneaded her breasts within his palms.

He pressed his hips forward; it forced his cock just a little deeper. Jack moaned and dug her nails into the side of his hard thighs.

“Haydrien,” she pleaded.

“Huh-uh.” He pinched her nipples hard.

Jack groaned at the pleasure-pain.

“Who am I?” he asked.

Jack swallowed and just gave in. “Master,” she sighed.

“That’s right. Now bend over so I can fuck you.”

Jack bent forward and put her hands on the stone floor of the shower. Water covered her hands and slid into her hair as it pounded against her back.

Every touch on her skin was exaggerated, every nerve oversensitized. She felt ready to explode.

Haydrien began to pound into her hard and fast. She screamed as every thrust seemed to hit her cervix. Light exploded behind her eyes, and she was barely aware of Haydrien’s shout as her own release screamed through her with a vengeance.

Her arms and legs began to shake, and she dropped her head.

“Damn,” Haydrien snarled as he slowly smoothed his palms up and down her back. “That wasn’t my intent.”

For some reason his comment stung, and she tried to pull away. How could sex that good not be his intent?

“Don’t,” he commanded as he gripped her hips and held her still. He feathered his hand over her right ass cheek. “Your bottom is still red.”

Jack frowned and tried to glance back at him. “What did you expect?”

He slapped her hip, but not hard enough to hurt. “You and that mouth.”

“A few minutes ago you liked my mouth.”

He raised an eyebrow and grinned. “Touché.”

She decided to try a different tactic. “My arms are getting tired. May I please get up?”

Haydrien tilted his head to the side and eyed her suspiciously. “You said please. I’m not sure how to respond to that.”

“Might I suggest, ‘yes, Jacquelyn. You may get up. I just have to get my dick out of you first,’” she said drily.

Haydrien chuckled. “And she’s back.”

“Seriously. This is getting uncomfortable.”

He patted her thigh and slowly pulled his cock out of her body. “Damn,” he growled. “I think I’d rather stay in.”

Jacquelyn sat back on her heels and winced at the soreness in her backside. “And I’d like to have a cushion.”

“Maybe if you’re nice, I’ll get you one.” He moved under the spray and let the water slide over his head.

Jack watched him and couldn’t help but admire his muscular physique. He had shoulders almost as wide as her uncle Sidious’s and thighs the size of tree trunks. And that cock. She frowned, wondering if she’d be able to walk later after having that thing inside her.

“Stand up, sub,” he commanded.

Jack gazed up at him through her lashes. “I can’t take another round.”

And she really couldn’t.

Haydrien shook his head. “This isn’t about that. Stand up.”

He offered his hand to help her. After hesitating a couple of seconds, she took it and stood. Haydrien pulled her under the warm stream of water. She sighed as the water hit her sore muscles, relaxing her. It was a shame the water couldn’t relax her beating heart or soothe her mounting confusion.

He was a thief, but a thief who stole for good…for the benefit of his people. Did that make it better? No, not really, but it wasn’t a bad thing either. His people loved him, which her father would say spoke a lot. Did it say enough?

He was an incredible Dom, but that was beside the point. That shouldn’t matter, but she knew that deep down it did, especially when it was all she could seem to think about.

She came to the conclusion that it had to be the sex. That was all it could be. The whole Dom-sub thing was messing with her mind. She just had to keep from having sex with him.

That probably wasn’t about to happen.

He turned her, shifting her under the stream of water. “Tilt your head back,” he murmured.

Jack did as he requested, and Haydrien slid his hands through the strands. She glanced at him over her shoulder and watched the muscles in his shoulders flex as he reached for the soap. He lathered her hair, and she sighed at the way his fingertips massaged her scalp.

How was it that a man could be so commanding and rough when he spanked her, yet at the same time be so gentle? It confused her, and she didn’t like it. She wanted him to be a jerk—needed him to be. Unfortunately right now he wasn’t.

She tried to step away, but he grabbed her shoulders and tugged her back. She stood silently as he rinsed her hair and then ran a soapy rag over her body. There was nothing sexual about his touch. He just washed as though he’d been doing it forever. Once she was rinsed, he gently pushed her toward the shower door.

“Dry off and get in bed. Tomorrow is a busy day.”

She frowned. “Your bed?”

“Yes. My bed.” He nodded toward the door. “Go.”

Jack swallowed nervously as she stepped out of the shower. She grabbed a towel and solemnly dried herself. She’d hoped she would sleep alone. She could use that time to distance herself from him. To convince herself she hated him. The last thing she needed was a sweet, gentle Haydrien lying next to her in a bed. God help her if he wanted to cuddle.

Feeling just a bit defiant, she grabbed one of his shirts from the closet and pulled it over her head. She inhaled the warm, musky scent of Haydrien and sighed. Not from pleasure but from aggravation. Would she never be rid of him while she was here? At least with a shirt on, she would have some layer of protection between her and him. Not that it would stop him if he decided he wanted her.

She climbed under the covers and curled as close to the edge as she possibly could. Behind her, she could hear Haydrien padding softly across the tile floor. He stopped by the bed and laughed.

Jack rolled over slightly and frowned up at him. “What?”

“I’m not going to bite,” he said.

“Biting isn’t what I’m concerned about.”

Haydrien shook his head and climbed naked under the covers.

“What makes you think I won’t strangle you in your sleep?” she asked quietly as she looked at him over her shoulder.

He snorted and rolled to his side, facing her. “Sweetheart, if you think you can kill me and make it out of here alive, take your best shot.”

She twisted her lips and turned back to face the wall. Haydrien put his hand at her waist and pulled her against his warm body. The cool night air blew through the open terrace doors, making her shiver beneath the covers. Haydrien tightened his hold, pulling her even closer to his warmth. At the moment, she could admit to being glad she had his heat behind her.

And she hated herself for it.

Chapter Twelve

“Good morning, my dear,” Gora sang as she strolled into the bedroom.

Jack squirmed deeper under the covers. It was too early for such cheerfulness.

“I’ve brought your bag from the ship with your clothes. Haydrien said for you to get dressed. He wants you to join him in the city. We’re having a party.”

Jack didn’t feel much like partying. She’d made it through the night without being accosted again, but Haydrien had notched away a small piece of her resistance with his tenderness.

God, she was way too easy.

Gora patted her hip through the sheet. “Hurry, dear. We’re going to miss all the fun.”

Jack sat up and stretched. “What’s the party for?” she asked as her gaze traveled to the open double doors and the view of the morning sky.

“The medicine Haydrien brought back worked wonders. Everyone is much better. It looks as though our sickness is finally over, and we’re celebrating.”

Joy. Just what she wanted to do. Got to a party in honor of his lordship and saint, Haydrien.

“Can’t I just stay here?” she asked.

“Lord, no. Haydrien would have both our hides.”

“Of course he would,” Jack grumbled.

“Don’t be so down, dear. Today is going to be a good day. Lots of food, music, and fun.”

She assumed this party would be similar to the one they had on Daego, which was where her uncle Sidious lived. She’d gone to those street parties often and could easily convince herself to look forward to this one. She just didn’t want to. Matter of fact, this morning, she didn’t want to do much of anything.

Her bottom still stung, her legs hurt from having pulled them so wide yesterday, and even the inside of her pussy ached a little. It was no wonder. She’d had a damn baseball bat inside her.

Gora dropped a pair of pants and a shirt next to her. The woman was obviously not going to take no for an answer, and truthfully, why would she? She was probably one of Haydrien’s biggest supporters.

Jack quickly dressed in her own clothes and felt a little better. She slid on her boots, then pulled her hair back in its usual clip. She’d been meaning to get it cut but just hadn’t been able to do it. Her long hair was the only girlie thing she allowed herself, other than the underwear.

She turned and almost ran smack into Gora. Jack put her hand over her chest and gasped. “Jeez, Gora,” she said.

Gora laughed softly and handed her a cup.

“What’s this?” Jack asked. She sniffed at the contents and almost sighed at the nutty cinnamon scent that invaded her nose. “Wow.”

“It’s warm, and it will wake you up,” Gora replied.

“I can certainly use that,” she mumbled, then took a sip. The warm taste filled her mouth, and Jack moaned as she swallowed. “This is wonderful. Thank you.”

“Good. Now come. We’ll head down.”

Jack followed her out the door and down the hall. “
How
do we get down?”

* * * *

Jack smiled as she strolled through the streets of the town. Tables were everywhere, loaded with food and drinks of every possible variety. Music blared through the square, and couples rushed to dance in the middle of the intersection.

Several people had smiled and said hello to her as though they knew exactly who she was. She frowned briefly. They probably did. They probably all knew her as the latest sex slave of their liege.

An older man grabbed her arm as she passed and handed her a cup of spiced cider.

She smiled and said, “Thank you.”

He nodded in return. “You’re welcome.”

Jack took a sip and sighed at the warm, spicy taste that filled her mouth. She had to admit. The food here was incredible. Nothing processed. Nothing replicated. It was all natural, all homemade, and all incredibly delicious. She’d gain twenty pounds if she lived here permanently.

Ahead of her just a bit, she spotted Haydrien talking with a group of men. One of them said something; then they all laughed. The sound caught several people’s attention, and they turned to smile at them like parents indulging children.

Everyone here loved Haydrien. He walked among them like he belonged, like he was one of them. He didn’t sit on his throne and oversee things. He interacted with them, even helped them. He saw them as his responsibility, and he took that responsibility seriously.

As a ruler, he reminded her of her father. They were alike in a lot of ways, which only confused her more. All her life she’d wanted to marry someone like her dad. Someone who was good but strong. She shook her head, determined to not let her thoughts go down that road. No matter how good, how kind, how gentle Haydrien was to her while she was here, he was still her captor, and she needed to remember that.

She took another sip of her cider and moved to a table next to the small river that ran through town. It was so pretty here, so peaceful. It was a shame the war had left it in such ruin. Most of the buildings were damaged, but the people were doing everything they could to make the best of it. Jack had to admire their spirit if nothing else.

She looked up just in time to see Haydrien walking toward her. She admired the way his pants clung to his hips, the way his shirt opened down the front, showing off his wide, smooth chest. She stiffened her resolve to remain aloof. He was still her captor, she his prisoner, and if he ever found out who she really was, she’d probably be his dead prisoner.

Thank God after they went to bed he hadn’t mentioned her reaction to calling her Jack. Maybe he hadn’t noticed. Maybe he’d been too distracted by his arousal and her blowjob.

He came to a stop by her table. Jack looked up at him and watched as the wind ruffled his dark hair. Her fingers itched to smooth it out.

“You look awfully lonely sitting her by yourself,” he said.

“No. I’m fine,” she said as she lifted her cup to take another sip of her now lukewarm cider. She waved her hand in dismissal. “Go play.”

Haydrien’s lips twitched. “I think at the moment I would rather play with you.”

Jack stiffened and set her cup on the table. Her mind immediately went to sex. “Please tell me you’re not into exhibitionism.”

Haydrien laughed, and her stomach fluttered at the sound. “Of course not. I meant dancing.”
