Triumph surged through him. He wanted to pump his fist into the air. She’d said yes.

He hoped she’d keep saying yes throughout the rest of the night.

Chapter Six

Were the planets in perfect alignment? Was there some sort of cosmic energy that brought Justin back to her? Could that explain why everything was unfolding this way?

She’d thought about Justin, boom, he’d appeared on the cover of the magazine earlier today. She told herself she most definitely couldn’t see him again and wham, he showed up at her apartment tonight. She warned herself she shouldn’t play with fire and blammo, she agreed to accompany Justin the raging inferno to dinner. And by the look on his face, it told her he was more than ready to consume her inch by blessed inch.

God, she hated to admit it but she’d let him, too. He looked amazing dressed in a navy blue polo shirt and faded jeans, his dark hair mussed by the wind and his eyes sparkling with heat every time he looked at her.

Ha. Well of course, he looked good. That gorgeous face and amazing body would look good in a paper sack.

Now she was riding in his equally amazing car, a Mercedes something or other, some rare model that only a select few in the entire world owned or some such thing. That’s what he’d told her, his voice filled with pride as his hand had smoothed over the sleek black hood like a proud father with his precious baby.

Yes, she’d grown jealous of a car. Watching his hand sliding over what was nothing but a hunk of metal had given her tingles and made her toes curl. Memories flooded her of that one illicit moment they shared. His mouth on hers, his hands on her breasts and his cock buried deep inside her.

She sighed. Here was her chance to reenact another sexual fantasy. It was as if it was meant to be between her and Justin. She needed to take this opportunity and run with it.

“So where are we going?” She needed to make idle conversation and try to break the tension that was brewing between them.

“A little restaurant downtown. It’s a real hole in the wall. I hope you like Italian.” He glanced at her, a tiny smile curving his lips and she swore she melted a little bit in her butter soft leather seat.

“I love Italian. I just hope I’m dressed right.” She glanced down. He hadn’t let her have a chance to change. She’d never even gone into her apartment. He’d merely whisked her away by the hand and led her to his fancy car. She’d had to shove her mail into her purse.

Everything had been a complete whirlwind from the moment she set eyes upon him.
“Trust me you look perfect.”
His compliment warmed her and she covered her mouth with the tips of her fingers, hiding the smile that grew.

He was certainly a flatterer and a definite charmer. He knew how to say just the right things to please her. Was it inherent or did he use those lines on every woman he met? She had no way of knowing.

Her brows furrowed. Her self-doubt was going to eat her up inside. She needed to stop thinking about the bad stuff and go with the flow. Like the fact that she was almost guaranteed another romp with Justin. Justin Hawkins, former professional baseball player.

Her boss would shit. Her friends would freak. Heck, her father would lose his mind if he knew his daughter was sitting in a car with The Hawk. She’d called her mother earlier, making casual conversation and eventually brought up Justin’s name since she knew her father was a total baseball fanatic.

The Hawk, her mother had referred to Justin as. One of her father’s favorite players and he’d been devastated when he got in the accident and been forced to retire. The entire team hadn’t played the same since.

Stephanie wondered how Justin felt. Did he miss playing? Did he hate talking about it? Maybe it made him sad to even think about it. She was afraid to bring the subject up.

“Traffic’s bad,” Justin murmured, bringing her out of her thoughts. She glanced at him, arousal slowing her blood and making her limbs heavy.

She enjoyed watching him drive and he was incredibly sexy behind the wheel. Strong hands gripped the steering wheel, his eyes intent on the road ahead, a little sigh escaping him over the traffic frustration.

She wanted to reach over and touch his hair, run her hand down his arm. The muscles there rippled every time he shifted downward and when he caught her staring, he grinned, those flashing dimples making her heart flutter, her entire body quiver in anticipation.

“Are you hungry?” He glanced at her quickly, keeping one eye on the road.
“Yes.” Her appetite had completely disappeared. The only thing she was hungry for was him.
The car came to a complete stop and he looked at her, his gaze meeting hers, his expression unreadable. “Me, too.”
Understanding dawned and she breathed deep, ready to make a bold move. “We’ll probably be stuck here a long time, hmm?”
He nodded slowly, his hands gripping the steering wheel tight. “Traffic is really heavy.”

“Maybe we should pull over.” She gave in to her urges and touched him, brushing her fingers against the warm, firm skin of his forearm. A jolt surged from her fingertips and rolled throughout her body.

His eyes practically smoldered. “Pull over?”

“Yes, do you think we should?” She nodded, her fingers sliding up and over his rock hard bicep. “Maybe we could go somewhere more...private?”

Justin didn’t say a word. His jaw tightened and he flicked the signal, crossing lanes until he was in the far right one and finally pulling off at the next exit.

Anticipation curled through her and she let her hand drop. As if he didn’t want to break the connection he reached over, resting his hand on her thigh and his touch fairly burned through the thin fabric of her skirt.

She glanced out the window, saw they were in a mostly industrial part of town and she wondered where he was taking them. His fingers curled, drawing up the fabric of her skirt and she held her breath, waiting for his next move.

He didn’t disappoint. Keeping his eyes on the road, he pulled her skirt to mid-thigh and then dived beneath it, sure fingers meeting bare skin. She trembled, her breathing shaky and she watched his fingers move beneath the black fabric.

“Spread your legs.” His voice was rough, a command that brooked no argument and she did as he wanted, her back slumping against the seat.

Stephanie waited, pressing her lips together when his fingers brushed against the front of her panties and his ragged groan was unmistakable.

“What color?”

“What?” Confusion fogged her brain. She was so totally focused on his touch, his fingers playing with the elastic leg band of her panties.

“Your panties. What color are they?”

“Oh.” She swallowed, tried to think. “They’re white lace.”

He groaned again, his fingers now sliding beneath the thin fabric and touching her. Threading through her damp curls, those sure fingers slid down until they brushed her swollen clit.

She closed her eyes briefly, her right hand clutching the inside door handle and she spread her legs further, a silent invitation for him to continue.

Stephanie marveled at his composure, how he continued driving while touching her so intimately. The streets were essentially abandoned, the inside of the car quiet but for their mingled ragged breathing and the juicy sounds of his fingers searching her pussy.

“You’re always so wet.” He sounded amazed, his expression tight, eyes focused on the street, fingers focused on her pleasure.

She was wet only for him. She couldn’t answer, could only enjoy his touch, the way his thumb brushed her clit, his index finger sliding inside her. She was so close, it wouldn’t take much for him to bring her to climax and she moaned, lifting her hips and sending him deeper.

“We gotta find a hotel.” He sounded determined, just the tiniest bit desperate and she felt a whole lot of desperate. She hung on the edge, her body so close to taking that plunge and when he flicked her clit, his thumb pressing deep she shattered.

Crying out his name, she bucked against his hand, her pussy clenching rhythmically, her entire body trembling with her release. His hand stilled though stayed in place, riding out her orgasm until she slumped against the seat, her body sweaty and sated.

“That was beautiful.” He removed his hand from her and turned right, a sigh of relief escaping him. “Thank Christ. I think that’s a hotel.”

She blinked once, twice, the building up ahead coming into focus and she wrinkled her nose. The place looked old, a little sleazy and the “t” on the neon sign was out so it only read “Ho el.”

Yes, that was about right. She felt a little bit like a ho after coming in his car with a couple of flicks of his fingers.

Justin pulled up in front of the building, his eyes meeting hers in the dim red light that shone from the overhead sign. “We don’t have to do this.”

The man had just made her come like no other in about two minutes flat while driving for God’s sake. They were definitely going to do this.

“I want to.”
His nostrils flared and his eyes darkened with banked heat. “You don’t want dinner?”
“I’m not hungry for food.” The unsaid said it all.

Undoing his seat belt, he leaned forward and bruised her mouth with a hungry kiss that stole her breath. Then he was gone, exiting the car in a whirlwind and at her door, opening it for her.

She stepped out on wobbly legs, thankful he was there to keep her upright. He slammed the door, hit the keyless remote to lock it and grabbed her hand, leading her up to the entrance of the hotel.

“Do you think your car is safe out here?” She couldn’t believe they were able to find a parking spot directly in front of the building. The neighborhood looked old, quiet since business hours were far past and she didn’t want his pretty and rare car getting stolen.

“I’ve got mega insurance on this baby.” He eyed it with worry then looked at her. “It’s a chance I’m going to have to take.”

Oh, she knew she was being ridiculous when it thrilled her that he chose her over the safety of his car. It was a freaking
car.
He could probably afford one hundred of them on the money he made but still. He could’ve said screw it and escorted her right out of there.

A bell rang when they walked through the door of the lobby and a little old man stood behind the counter, his eyes squinty in an overly tanned, overly wrinkled face. Those squinty eyes went as wide as they could when they lit upon Justin.

“Aren’t you...”

“No, I’m not.” Justin cut him off, reaching into his back pocket and pulling out his wallet. Withdrawing a crisp one hundred dollar bill, he handed it to the man who took it with unmitigated glee. “We need a room.”

“Of course sir. Something intimate and discreet perhaps?” The old guy was clearly getting off on the idea of the legendary baseball player using his hotel as a stopping point for a quick screw.

Justin glared at him, his grip tightening on Stephanie’s hand. “Whatever you have that’s clean will work.”
The man sniffed. “All of our rooms are clean, sir. Will that be cash or charge?”
Handing him a fifty, Justin leaned his other arm on the counter. “Cash.”

The man moved quickly, pocketing the fifty and grabbing a key ring that had a large, bright green plastic square dangling off it with the number twenty-four printed in bold white. “Your room is on the second floor, facing west.”

“Thanks.” Justin snatched the key from the man’s fingers and started for the stairwell on the far left of the room.

“Should you ask about your car?” She struggled to keep up with his long strides, loving the way he looked back at her with such longing on his face she almost stumbled.

“Forget the car.” He started up the stairs, slowing his pace so she could keep up with him and then they were walking down a dim hallway. The entire floor was quiet, a couple of light bulbs were burned out in their fixtures and the burnt orange carpet was worn thin.

They were in a complete dump and she was thrilled. Positively buzzing with excitement at the idea that in just mere minutes, she would have her hands all over him and he would have his hands all over her. Naked, skin pressed against skin, lips attached to lips.

They found room twenty-four and she noticed his fingers trembled when he inserted the key inside the lock. He turned it with a quick flick of his wrist and the door swung open wide. The room smelled of stale smoke and fabric softener and she rushed in, her throat closing up when he shut the door with a quiet click and a sharp turn of the lock.

And then he was behind her, around her, his arms holding her, his big hands cupping her breasts and his damp mouth brushing against the sensitive skin of her neck. She arched against him, her breasts filling his hands, her head leaning to the side and her butt brushed against the insistent prodding of his cock.

“I’ve thought of nothing else but this for the past week,” he admitted, his voice muffled against her neck and gooseflesh stole over her skin at his ragged confession.

“I’ve thought about you, too.” Her eyes slid closed, her hand reaching behind her to cup his erection and he growled close to her ear.

“Oh, yeah? What have you thought about me?”

“Us together again. Feeling you deep inside me.” Her hands moved up, down, the denim rough against her fingers, his button fly straining from his thick cock.

She’d never behaved this way over any man before. The eagerness, the bold moves and the wild flurry of it all. It was as if they couldn’t resist each other, as if they might starve without touching each other and she loved it. Wanted more of it. She wanted to please him more than anything.
