Returned

Chapter 8

Vat enjoyed sleeping with Kenzie in his
arms.

She was a truly amazing female and
because of her,
Kam
would live.

He hated he had to rise early, but Prince
Pakhi would be waiting on them.

As he
entered the control room,
Kaith
turned.

“We are docking at the space station now
Commander.

“Thank you
Kaith
.”

As he watched the screen he said, “I will
miss her.”

“As will I.”

They docked at the space station, and when
the door opened, they found Prince Pakhi and Prince Tolan waiting on them.

“Thank you for returning her.

I’m
not sure what
happened, or how she ended up on your vessel, but thank you for bringing her
back.

Where
is
she and I’ll go get her?”

Tolan
asked.

He
couldn’t
wait to see her again.

They had looked
everywhere and feared the worst when they
couldn’t
find her.

The communication they
received was a welcome relief.

“She is resting.

Her clothes were ruined, and she is sleeping
in a long shirt.

If you have any of her
belongings, you might want to take them to her.”

Tolan felt slightly alarmed, but he nodded
and headed back to get her some clothes to wear.

“Can you take me to her?”

Prince Pakhi asked.

Adriana
couldn’t
wait to get her sister back, and she constantly reminded him of that.

“Have
you seen her yet?

How is she?”

“Give me a little time Adriana.

I
can’t just barge onto his vessel.”

“Why not, you’re the Prince!

I
need to know that
she’s
Ok.

God Pakhi, I can’t imagine what she went
through when she went missing.”

“Calm down Adriana.

She will be
back on board with you soon.”

He
couldn’t
decide if communicating telepathic was a blessing or curse some days.

“Right this way Prince Pakhi.”

Vat turned and headed back inside, down the
corridor, and into his quarters.

Kenzie
opened her eyes as he walked in and offered a big smile.

Vat made his way over and sat down on the
side of the bed.

“Kenzie, we are back at
the Space Station and your family is here.”

She sat up, unaware of Prince Pakhi’s presence, and through her arms
around Vat’s neck.

“Thank you for everything you’ve done for
me.”

She hugged him tight, for she truly
liked him, fangs and all.

“You are very welcome Kenzie.

If you ever need anything, I am here.

You just let me know.”

He hugged her back.

Tolan arrived just in time to see Kenzie
throw her arms around Vat, and he had seen enough!

He marched over to them, and when Kenzie
released Vat, he scooped her up into his arms.

The guilt he felt over losing her had been tearing him apart.

Like everyone else, he assumed the worst
until the message came.

He carried her
into the cleansing room and handed her some clothes.

“I missed you Kenzie.

I was worried something bad had
happened.

I failed to protect you, and
I’m sorry.”

She placed her hand to his
cheek, for she could see the guilt in his dark chocolate eyes.

“It’s Ok, it wasn’t your fault. Vat and
the others took good care of me.”

She
tried to comfort him, unaware that her words made him feel worse.

“They shouldn’t have had to protect you. I
should’ve done a better job!”

Kenzie
just kept quite as she realized this was a fight with himself and nothing she
said would make him feel better.

“You
seemed cozy with the Kasei.”

Could he be
jealous?

Surely not.

She liked Vat, but more like a brother kind
of way.

“They have been very nice to me, even
though they couldn’t understand me for a while.”

“Did you sleep with him?”

She felt the anger wash over her body.

Everything is about sex with him.

Even the last several months they had spent
traveling from Earth, they
hadn’t
talked much, they
just had great sex.

“Is that all you ever think about?

You haven’t asked what happened to me, if I’m
Ok, how I came to be on their ship, you just want to know if I had sex with
them.

Well, guess what Tolan, FUCK
YOU!”

She stormed out the door and left
him standing with his mouth gaping.

When she exited the cleansing room, she
found Pakhi and Vat staring at her.

I
guess she screamed at Tolan a little too loud.

“Everything alright?”

Pakhi asked with concern.

“Everything is fine.”

She turned to
Vat
.

“Thank you again Vat, for everything.

You are an honorable and kind male, and I
will always cherish our friendship.

However, I must tell you, those teeth you have would scare the shit out
of anybody.

So if you ever encounter
another human, let them get to know you before you smile.”

Vat burst out laughing.

Looking at her, he smiled the biggest smile
possible then snapped his teeth together like a predator.

“Stop that!”

Then she burst out laughing as well.

Back on Pakhi’s vessel, Adriana kept
hugging her, while her parents and sister cried with happiness. She noticed the
others standing to the side, including Tolan who stood beside Dar.

When she finally released her, Adriana asked,
“What happened to you?

Do you have any
idea how worried we’ve been?”

What a
stupid question.

Kenzie looked at her
sister with one side of her mouth turned up.

“At least I came back after three days, it
took you months.”

She said with a
teasing voice.

“Oh shut up Kenzie!

That’s
beside the
point.

Where the hell did you go?”

Adriana,
watch your language.”

“You can shut up to Pakhi!

My
sister was missing for three days, and I can have an emotional break down if I
want to.”

“Well, Tolan was showing me around when we
were ambushed by these yellow men.

While
he fought with them, two other yellow men grabbed me and dragged me away.”

“Rahu.”

“What?”

“Rahu.

That is what the yellow men are called.”

Adriana informed her.

“Ok, the Rahu dragged me away.

I knew I had to get away, so I stomped one
knee and threw a temper tantrum by flailing my arms and body, until I finally
got loose.

I ran as hard as I could, but
they were still behind me.

As I rounded
a corner, I spotted an open doorway and ran inside.

Finding a type of closet, I hid for
hours.

When I gathered enough courage to
come out, I noticed I was in a small galley.

I found a bottle of Tequila, although they called it
Tila
,
and thought I deserved a drink.

I might
have had a little too much.”

She smiled
sheepishly.

“Pakhi, we need some
Tila
.”

Adriana said with a tone that brooked no
argument.

“When they discovered me onboard, we were
already traveling toward Ketu.

They
couldn’t
understand me, but I understood everything they
said perfectly.

I found comfort when they
all thought I was unattractive.”

Kenzie
giggled.

“They let me travel with them
when we arrived on Ketu.”

Turning toward
her sister, “Eliana’s right Adriana, that place is vile.”

Looking back at the group, she
continued.

“We met with a Rahu man, and
I knew he was up to something.

I watched
him discreetly type on some type of device, and when we left, there were other
yellow men waiting on us.

While Vat and
his men fought the Rahu, another one kidnapped me and took me back to
Orian’s
office…” she hesitated.

Not only did she not want to tell them what
happened, but also she
didn’t
think she could.

She knew she
couldn’t
tell them without crying.

“Vat and
Kaith
rescued me.”

She knew they could tell by the look on her face that there was more to
the story.

“Rescued?”

Tolan’s
eyes narrowed.

“Yes,” she said softly.

“Where is this
Orian
now?”

Tolan said with vehemence in his
voice.

She knew she needed to continue
with the story before he interrogated her.

“I don’t know where he is.

Anyhow, after we boarded the ship again, I
noticed that
Kam
had a bad injury, and it looked as
though he may die.

I found a first aid
kit and sewed him up.

If felt good to
help someone again.”

They talked until the hunger pains set in,
and Kenzie found her way to the Galley.

She
hadn’t
ate first meal before they arrived
and she was starving.

Tolan quietly
walked by her side, but for what purpose, she
didn’t
know.

As they gathered their food and took a
seat, Tolan finally asked the question he needed answered.

“Kenzie, did
Orian
touch you?”

When she
didn’t
answer, he took her silence as conformation.

“Please tell me what he did.”

Kenzie sat there in silence, took a deep
breath, and decided to tell him since they were the only two there.

With tear-filled eyes, “He pushed me up
against the wall while he groped me.

I
could feel his arousal on my back.

He
told me that he planned to fuck me, and then give me to the other male in the
room.

When they tired of me they would
sell me to a pleasure house.”

Tears
freely fell down her face.

“I was so
terrified that I could only stand there and shake.

I
didn’t
even try to
fight them off.

I know Adriana and even
Eliana would have fought, but I
didn’t
do
anything.

The next thing I knew, the pressure
at my back was gone and I fell to the floor.

Vat carried me back to their ship.”

Tolan picked her up and placed her in his lap while she sobbed into his
shoulder.

Tolan
couldn’t
believe she had been through all that.

He also struggled with the fact that wondering if she had had sex with
Vat had occupied his mind, not her well-being.

Could he really be that shallow?

He had missed her, thought about her all the time, so how could he not
even have ask what had happened.

Deep in
thought, he almost missed her talking to him.

“I’m sorry, what did you say?”
