Chapter 8

Lindsey poked her head in each room as she trailed behind her new husband. Baruk gave a one or two word description on what the room was for or what it was called. Like the Blue room. She peered around the partially opened door and not one thing in blue. Not the curtains in the floor to ceiling windows, not the two uncomfortable looking chairs and lounger set and most definitely not the huge wall sectioned off with a mounted screen of some sort suspended from the ceiling.

“For holos,” he said and a hint of red spotted his cheeks. “When I’m not catching up on various news and proposals, I like to sit and view music performances.”

Who knew she’d find common ground in an interest similar to the Earth equivalent of concerts. Excited, Lindsey bounced on her toes and nodded. “I love music. All types. Maybe you can share your favorites with me one day.”

He smiled and closed the door. “I’d like that, Lindsey.”

Her heart clenched from Baruk’s pleasant demeanor. The pings still came but relief at knowing he seemed genuinely interested in her as a person eased some of her fear.

The next door he led her to was easy to discern as his office space. Papers in neat stacks covered a long black desk with a fancy mesh-back chair pushed against it. Two holo screens hovered side by side over the surface, floating above a wireless keyboard. Shelves built into the walls held small potted plants, thick green leaves spilling over the lips of the dun-colored containers. Several glass blocked windows along one wall let in rich sunlight.

A young man jumped to his feet at their entrance. His gold eyes tilted up in the corners and his cheekbones slanted along angular features reminiscent of an Asian-European blend. A wide smile bloomed on his face as he ran a hand through the reddish-blond waves flopping over his forehead.

“Senate Leader Baruk, I wasn’t expecting you.”

“Not a problem, Kimsha. I’ll only be a moment but wanted to introduce you to my wife, Lindsey formerly of Earth.”

The young man bowed low, arms behind his back. When he straightened, red strands fell over his brow again.

“Lindsey, this is my second assistant, Kimsha. He handles my personal affairs.” Baruk shrugged. “This weekend however he’s covering duties for my first assistant, Mala.”

“Wait. Senate Leader Baruk?” She asked.

Baruk frowned. “Of course. Zadal and I work together.”

Strike one
.

Lindsey felt faint. She thought only Zadal claimed the title. She’d married two politicians? “I see. I didn’t know.”

Baruk shrugged powerful shoulders. “You’ll catch on soon, I’m sure. As our wife you’ll be expected to entertain the other wives and host events of your own. Kimsha can help until you’re familiar with what constitutes a proper guest list. It’s part of his job as second assistant.”

Lindsey didn’t have a political bone in her body nor did her work history include party planner anywhere. Waitress- yes. Cook- yes. Hostess- big fat no.

“First assistant and second?” The terms were unfamiliar to her.

“Assistants help a Senate Leader stay on top of his duties. They’re usually two. One for professional needs and one who handles personal.”

Whoa. Would she need to work with four people? “Zadal has two as well?”

“Unfortunately, Zadal only has first assistant, Zumei, who moved in with him today. He hasn’t secured a second yet.”

Baruk placed a large hand on Lindsey’s shoulder and guided her from the room. The intimacy of the touch spiked her pulse. She barely got out a goodbye to Kimsha before they were striding across another vast foyer. Beads of sweat popped on her upper lip the moment they entered the next room. Greenery, plants and bushes covered every surface, including the floor. More were suspended from the glass ceiling in twining arcs of unrecognizable buds.

“An indoor garden?” Lindsey touched a deep blue bell shaped flower.

“Of a sorts.” Baruk rearranged a set of tools she hadn’t noticed on a wooden table.

The humidity caused his midnight dark hair to wave and curl, giving him a little boy appeal directly at odds with his masculine features and solid build. Not as tall as Zadal but a large man nonetheless. After another look around, they left the steamy room behind and headed for huge double-glass doors at the end of the tiled hallway.

Lindsey decided to dub this the east wing. Baruk’s house was a veritable mansion times two.

Baruk pulled the gold latch handles and shoved the doors wide. Beautiful grey stone work covered in veins of gold lined a path into heavy foliage.

“Follow me.”

Watching her step, Lindsey kept pace with Baruk until they ended at a tranquil oasis. Water trickled across a stone bridge, funneling into a small pond at the center of the grotto. Vines with heart-shaped flowers dangled over an arched trellis. Beneath it stone benches formed a circle where another profusion of flowers bloomed in every color imaginable.

“So let me get this straight,” Lindsey giggled. “You have two gardens. One for outside flowers and one for inside?”

“Yes.”

Lindsey laughed, checking to see if he was serious.

Baruk wasn’t laughing with her

Um. Right. Lindsey fingered dark vibrant red petals. “What are these?”

“Sofilia” Baruk’s gentle answer drew her attention.

A smile creased his stern features. The flowers looked like a cross between a rose and hydrangea. It should have looked odd but the profusion of petals and the heavy musk scenting the air gave it an otherworld beauty.

“My mother Sofia bred them,” Baruk continued. “She is one of Teeve’s finest botanist.”

Lindsey mentally sighed
. Strike two.

Not only did Lindsey lack savvy in the inner workings of politics but she’d been known to kill a cacti or two and those didn’t require much care. “Great.”

Baruk stepped back. “There’s one last room to show you today and we can do the rest of the house another time.”

Months more like. Lindsey counted twenty rooms so far during Baruk’s tour. His steps made short work of the return trip inside. He latched the doors behind them and pointed toward an open door almost hidden beneath the curving stairway he’d shown her earlier. Lindsey crossed the threshold and was immediately assailed with Zadal’s presence.

“Zadal chose this room for his work space.”

Weapons lined one wall. Swords, knives and guns unlike any on Earth. New weapons held equal importance among weapons of a time gone past. Some with rusted hinges and broken hilts were mounted on the wall in glass cases. The desk was a huge behemoth centered in the space. Not even a pen graced the surface. A warrior’s office. By contrast Baruk’s office contained visual beauty and the elegance of the man himself. Baruk surrounded himself with the calm fragrance of quiet and Zadal surrounded himself with the loud clash of violence.

Two very different men but both her husbands.

“Senate Leader Baruk.”

Lindsey jerked as a small man pranced toward them. He smiled and bowed in Baruk’s direction, completely ignoring Lindsey.

“Zumei. I’m not sure if Zadal had time to introduce Lindsey, our wife.”

Blue eyes slid in her direction. “It is a pleasure, Lady Lindsey.”

A wave of disquiet rolled down her spine. Lindsey took an immediate dislike to him. Her greeting lacked the bright smile she’d given everyone else. “Hi.”

“I would be honored to assist you in any way. Senate Leader Zadal has placed me at your disposal.”

***

Zadal joined them as they were leaving his office with only a murmur of acknowledgement then promptly closed the door in their face to spend several hours with his creepy assistant then magically showed in time for dinner. Lindsey wasn’t sure if Baruk gave him the two bit tour earlier but he seemed familiar with the layout of the sprawling mansion while Lindsey was fairly sure she’d get lost a time or two before her poor sense of direction kicked in.

Dinner proved to be an awkward affair. Baruk leaned back in his chair, swirling the amber liquid in his glass. Zadal sat to his left, face set in grim lines. Lindsey chose a seat far away from both of them, her fingers playing with her silverware as she sipped her wine with anxious glances.

Baruk’s servants cleared the last of the dinner dishes, leaving them alone. Lindsey tried to be bright and bubbly throughout the meal. Each man answered in monosyllables, increasing her discomfort. The ease and rapport she thought she’d developed with Baruk fell to the wayside. Tonight was a complete and utter failure. Her heart sagged and she wilted in her chair. One big happy family. Not.

“Are you done, Lindsey?”

At Baruk’s question, she dropped her fork in some sort of pudding dish. “Yes.”

He rose from his seat and came to stand behind her chair. His hands landed on her shoulder, caressing in a circular motion. “I hope the meal was to your liking.”

Since she wasn’t sure what she’d put in her mouth, Lindsey hummed under breath, every sense alert as his casual strokes spread further and further, slipping down her front. Across the table, Zadal watched, one broad finger tapping the linen.

Baruk kissed her temple as his hands dipped beneath the collar of her shirt. Zadal’s lids lowered to narrow slits, not missing anything.

“Lindsey,” Baruk breathed by her ear. “Did you like your meal?”

She jerked, tipping sideways in her chair. “Fine. Food was fine.”

Baruk helped settle her back in her seat and Lindsey’s gaze sought Zadal’s. He rubbed his finger over his mouth, the hint of a smile visible.

“Are you alright?” It was the first direct question Zadal had posed to her all evening.

Nerves tickled the flesh at her nape. “Just good. Doing good.”

Baruk chuckled, his hands falling away. Lindsey moaned then bit her lip to silence the needy sound.

“Don’t worry. We’re just starting.” Baruk’s husky murmur sent heat flooding her mid-section.

As if the statement was a signal of some sort, Zadal rose from his seat and crossed to their side. Baruk eased her chair back and pulled Lindsey to her feet with a gentle touch of his hands on her arms. Her clammy palms braced on his shirt-covered chest.

The heat of Zadal’s body pressed against her back. Sandwiched between the two of them, Lindsey lost some of her bravado.

“Um…yes…maybe this is where I say I’ve never menaged with two guys before.”

“Menage?” Baruk’s breath feathered her forehead as he removed the pins she’d used to put her hair up.

“More than one guy, you know. At the same time,” she babbled.

From behind, two firm hands clasped her waist and brought her in contact with a thickening erection against her backside.

“Then we will be your first.” Zadal. His dark words whispered across her nape right before he sucked on the sensitive spot where her neck met her shoulder.

“Oh, geez.” Her legs trembled and she tightened her hold on the fabric of Baruk’s shirt as he stood in front of her.

Zadal’s husky chuckle taunted. He eased her shirt out from her pants and the flesh on flesh contact intensified the heat building in her abdomen. Baruk’s hands slid up her torso in the front, pushing the lace of her bra aside. His thumbs brushed across her nipples, stiffening them.

Lindsey whimpered, closing her eyes as arousal began a slow spiral. “Isn’t there a warm up class? Sort of a here’s step one on how to ménage.”

Both stopped. She sensed their stares and opened her eyes.

“Are you afraid, little one?” Baruk asked, gaze gentle.

“Define afraid?”

Zadal snorted from behind her and Lindsey wished she could see his face.

“Where is the Earth woman who demanded we give her a Triad only a day ago?” Zadal’s thumbs created maddening circles on her hips, keeping her aware of him and on a knife edge of the unknown.

Lindsey wet her lips and relied on her innate honesty. She had to trust that she hadn’t made a bad decision when using her heart to pick her husbands. “I’m a little, tiny, almost microscopic portion of scared.”

Baruk’s palm cupped her cheek. His blue eyes darkened to aquamarine. “Trust us to take care of you. As your husbands, it is our duty to see that you find pleasure and don’t regret your choice.”

She waited for Zadal to add something. He didn’t. His thumbs stroked back and forth in a maddening pattern and Lindsey realized his actions spoke for him. He wouldn’t resume the lovemaking they’d started until she agreed.

Her breath eased out on an exhale. “Okay, dudes. I’m in.”

Chapter 9

Relief. Zadal wasn’t sure how he would have handled it if his new wife had run scared from them. Throughout dinner staring at her blue eyes nearly drove him to madness. He watched every word form on her pouty pink lips, imagining them wrapped around his aching shaft. One glance at Baruk assured Zadal he wasn’t the only one enraptured by their wife and her oblivious knowledge to the effect she had on them. Dinner couldn’t end soon enough and Baruk’s move released him from the tight control he’d managed throughout the meal.

By unspoken agreement Zadal let Baruk lead. In his past, he limited his experience to women who understood the score but Lindsey was different. Shy and sweet. Zadal had never been with a woman this delicate.

Zadal slept with rough women. Coarse women. Sharing those women with other men was perfunctory at best, a natural extension of the Garulax culture. This was different. More.

Baruk’s hands slid around her collar and a pretty red blush spread down her throat. Lindsey eyes glazed and her head tipped back in subconscious supplication. Her agreement released his tight leash and Zadal pulled her shirt over her head and tossed it to the floor.

“Right here?” She quivered in their arms, a thread of nerves entering her question.

Baruk glanced up, brow raised. Zadal nodded and stepped back after lingering for a moment as he stroked her soft skin then let go. Baruk lifted her into his arms and Lindsey squealed. Zadal’s chest tightened at the carefree sound.

Then she peeked over Baruk’s shoulder and giggled. “Come on. You, too.”

The casual invitation stirred more than his loins. His wife was effortlessly pulling him into her web and Zadal had to harden his heart to keep from completely falling. To do so would leave him vulnerable and Aiella Gatar drove the lesson of vulnerability home hard. Never leave yourself open to attack.

Some would have deemed the trip upstairs tension laden. For Zadal, it filled him with anticipation. Desire. At last the opportunity to touch a woman who belonged to him. A wife.

Baruk shouldered the door to his bedroom open, giving Zadal a moments pause. His spouse partner left the door wide and headed toward the massive bed frame with purposeful strides. Zadal pushed back his unease and entered the other man’s private space. Baruk laid Lindsey atop the thick, navy covers and went to work on her pants.

Zadal stood at the bottom of the bed while Baruk revealed the lower half of her golden body inch by inch. Pink lace covered the round globes of her breasts held up by thin straps while small flowers were strategically placed where her nipples thrust against the material. Another lacy piece covered the apex of her thighs. Air froze in his lungs.

“I’ve never seen anything like this.” Baruk fingered the edge of the trim and tugged the strap down where it dangled on her shoulder.

Lindsey pushed up to her elbows. “It’s lingerie from my home. I brought a lot of it.”

Baruk nudged the other strap off her shoulder, causing the
lingerie
to cling by the curve of her breasts alone. Zadal flexed in his pants and approached the two of them with slow steps.

Baruk glanced up, then turned back to Lindsey. “I can’t wait to see it all.”

Zadal dropped to one knee, his hand reaching out to glide up her ankle and removed the pink triangle covering her lower half. If she had more underclothing of this nature it would be a visual feast. “Same here.”

His voice came out gruff but arousal burned a path through his gut, voiding any chance to be soft spoken.

“Since I’m almost naked, it’s only fair you both reciprocate.” Lindsey twirled her finger in the air at them.

Baruk rose to his feet instantly, pulling his shirt over his head and stepping out of his shoes. Zadal responded slower. Her eyes bounced between them, passion glazing the blue depths.

Zadal removed his clothing, letting everything drop to the floor. Her reaction puffed his chest with pride. He maintained a fit physique. Some women wouldn’t deign to allow his hands to touch them but others…others were not as confined. They hid, they snuck, they lied. But they came to his bed willingly if only for a taste of the forbidden because that was how they viewed him.

Dirty.

Exciting.

Titillating.

Lindsey’s gaze only held warm acceptance when she looked at him. Zadal hoped he lived up to the expectations staring back at him.

Nerves tickled along her spine as Lindsey propped her elbows behind her on the bed while the men undressed. Once they stood completely naked before her she gasped. Their masculine perfection overwhelmed. Not hiding her interest, Lindsey’s gaze ran over their bodies from head to toe.

Zadal’s broad form expanded to his arms and legs. A fine dusting of blond hair trailed from his inverted belly button to the groin below, ending in a darker shade of blond curls. She licked her lips, heart rate increasing and checked out Baruk.

Slightly leaner but with as many muscles as Zadal. He carried himself like a prince and no doubt women worshiped the body poised in front of her. His erection bobbed from a neat triangle of black hair. Each of them was uncircumcised, an unusual occurrence for the men she slept with back on Earth. Far from being turned off, the sight aroused her for the very difference it defined.

Together the two were enough to intimidate any woman. Lindsey brushed a hand down her front, not missing the way their eyes followed the gesture. Feminine power dampened the area between her thighs as she shifted on the covers and swallowed.

She wasn’t perfectly put together. A few sit-ups wouldn’t hurt but were nowhere in her future plans, since the only exercise she enjoyed was yoga. One of her breasts was bigger than the other and sometimes the tiny size of her nipples bothered her when she glanced in the mirror. Would they care? She wanted to think no.

“Is this what you wanted?” Baruk asked, his eyes heavy lidded. “Are we so different from your Earth men?”

“Hey, no judge zone here,” Lindsey countered with a laugh.

Both frowned.

“You know like I won’t judge if you won’t.”

Now they wore matching puzzled expressions.

Lindsey blew out a breath and lay back on the bed, eyes closed. She was already making a muddle of this. “Have at it. Carry on.”

“We will indeed carry on.” The gruff acknowledgment came from Zadal.

Her mouth dipped. She easily recognized his dark tones. Lindsey cracked one eye open but both men waited by the side of the bed.

Lindsey wanted them as crazy as she was. Feeling a surge of confidence, she sat up and reached for the hard erections thrust in front of her, one in each hand. She stroked slowly at first, pushing back the foreskin a little to reveal the bulbous heads. Purple and flushed the tips leaked tiny pearl drops. In response, her core grew wetter.

Lindsey leaned down, ignoring their astonished gasps and lapped one then the other while stroking them at the same time.

Zadal’s fist clenched in her hair and pulled as he painted the air with his rugged growls. Her scalp burned from the erotic touch. Baruk closed his eyes and moaned, pumping his shaft into her damp palms. Lindsey decided to focus her attention on him first.

Her tongue followed the folds of skin, licking and sucking. His smoky scent filled her nostrils. Lindsey tightened her hand on Zadal and he throbbed in her grip. She kept her gaze on his face while she pleasured Baruk with her mouth.

Zadal’s lids lowered to half-mast, his lips parting but he never took his eyes off of her. The eroticism of it all caused her to moan around Baruk’s length, moisture leaking down her thighs. As if he knew, Zadal smiled. A cruel twist coated with arrogance as he eased his hands from her hair then returned to take a harder grip.

Lindsey gasped, Baruk slipping free of her mouth.

“My thanks, Zadal,” Baruk said, his voice thick with arousal as he stepped back. “I want this night to last longer than five minutes.”

Lindsey grinned at the praise implied in the statement and reluctantly released the shafts in her hands.

“Keep her occupied, while I catch her up.” Baruk’s instructions received a grunt of agreement from Zadal and both men moved positions.

The bed creaked from Baruk’s weight as he knelt by Lindsey’s ankles, one hand holding her left leg aloft, the other caressing her moist folds. She relaxed, expecting a warm build up. His finger slid up and down her crease. Then without any warning, Baruk’s head dipped between her thighs and his wet, hot mouth covered her and sucked.

Lindsey cried out, body twisting as if to escape the sudden sensory overload. Fingers latched tight to her ankles, keeping her spread, open for the devastation he wreaked on her.

“Please. Oh, God. Please.” Was that her begging? Her hands dug into the sheets beneath her.

Baruk eased the pressure only to replace it with licks and nips, the soft caresses fooling her into going limp on the bed. The moment her hips settled, Zadal bowed over her and tongued one of her pebbled nipples. At the same time, Baruk returned to his body shattering suction.

The double stimulation hit her from top to bottom. Lindsey’s head thrashed on the pillow, nonsensical demands spilling from her mouth.

“No. Wait. Yes! Yes!”

Zadal stood up, coming to one knee on the bed beside her head. One hand held his eager length, the other turned her head to face his flushed shaft. He leaned forward and pressed the tip to her lips. “Open.”

Her mouth parted, saliva moistening his path as he slid deep.

“Suck him. Show Zadal how much you want him.” Baruk’s breath blew against her center as he gave her direction.

Lindsey moaned, her mouth tightening convulsively on Zadal as Baruk ran a finger down her wet seam, swirling around her entrance. “How wet will you get for us, Lindsey?”

Together they stripped her control away. Need, desire and greed poured through her. Lindsey tongued Zadal’s pumping shaft faster and lifted her hips in answer to Baruk’s question. He gripped her butt cheeks tight, the top of his legs bumping the back of her thighs as he crawled closer.

“She’s killing me, Baruk,” Zadal groaned. “Her tongue is like softest velvet.”

Lindsey’s womb clenched on his words and her other husband chose that moment to slam his shaft into her soaking center. She arched her back, fighting the waves of pleasure as Baruk pounded into her. Zadal cupped her face, keeping her head up as he stroked the hair back from her forehead.

“I want your eyes on me while he takes you. I want to watch your pleasure as you go over and swallow my release.” For emphasis, he pulled out slowly and rocked back into her mouth.

***

Lindsey worked Zadal with frantic licks and greedy pulls on his tip. Her hands soft and rough in turn as she moved it up the silky skin of his shaft and down to the base. Every time she took a breath, minute puffs of air wisped over his sensitized flesh. Zadal loosened his hands on her hair to watch as she slowly destroyed him with pleasure. Blue eyes stared back, her throaty moans strumming over every inch of him.

Zadal rocked forward rougher than he intended. Lindsey’s nails dug into his thighs but he remained steady on his knees, throbbing, pulsing. Her eyes glowed with an inner light as she proceeded to suck the very life from him. Electric shocks zapped up his spine. His orgasm boiled over, pulling a deep groan from the back of his throat. Tender hands squeezed him at the base in rhythmic measures.

Every nerve ending came alive and Zadal’s release poured forth. His hips pumped harder and his fingers knotted in her hair in reflex. The climax continued to tear through him, leaving Zadal to shake all over. He released the silky strands of her hair and fell forward, hands braced on the pillow by her head. Lindsey laved his softening shaft with one last taste as if savoring him. Her wet mouth pulled away, leaving cool tracks behind.

He glanced over at Baruk, who had her legs propped over his shoulders, hips working feverishly. Sweat gathered on the other man’s forehead as he strained. Zadal faced Lindsey who squeezed her eyes shut, mouth open as she begged.

“Please, Baruk. Now, Baruk. I can’t take any more!”

Her head tossed on the pillow, face tight with pleasure. His spouse partner slid his hands to her breasts, tweaked the hard nubs of her nipples and Lindsey came. Zadal watched it all until she lay trembling and shaking in the aftermath.

Baruk fisted himself with a harsh groan, head back and pumped a few more times then shouted his release. His knees went out from under him and he collapsed to the side of Lindsey, panting. Zadal contemplated his next action. Lindsey rolled to the side in his direction with a low murmur, hands tucked under her cheek, lashes closing over her beautiful eyes. Pulling up the sheet, he covered her quivering body. Baruk sprawled on his back, eyes closed as well. Zadal rose to his feet, prepared to go.

“You don’t have to leave,” Baruk said, not bothering to move.

Zadal froze. “It’s your bed.”

Baruk huffed. “And she’s
our
wife. I’m not going to haul her down the hall to her room to make you feel better about staying.”
