She watched him go back to the bathroom and came back without the wash cloth.
“You have a cute butt,” she whispered as he sat on the bed next to her. Her eyes went straight to his cock. Even when not fully aroused he was rather large.
He caught her smiling while looking at him.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“Yours is cuter,” he whispered back. Then he bent down and kissed her long and slow. She pulled away, first. “Cord, I have to go to the bathroom, but my legs are kind of shaky, can you walk me there?”
He smiled and in an instant he picked her up and carried her there.
She let out a laugh.
He placed her down on the bowl and waited.
She looked up at him with wide eyes and a crooked grin.
“Too soon?” he asked.
“Way,” she replied and chuckled.
“Okay, call me when you’re done.” He laughed and walked out of the bathroom, closing the door.
A few minutes later, after she did her business and washed up, she came out.
He was right there by the door. He scooped her up and carried her back to bed.
He climbed in after her and pulled the covers up over them and rolled her to her side. He reached for and closed the lamp light. Then he threw an arm around her waist and pulled her into him. With his knees, he lifted hers. Her head was just below his chin.
They both didn’t say anything for a long while. Each thinking about what they had just experienced.
“Cord?” Annie softy spoke.
“Yeah?” Cord said, holding a breath.
“That was fucking fantastic,” she whispered.
“Holy shit, that was,” he said, letting out a breath, and he squeezed her gently and kissed the top of her head.
“Thank you,” she said, and he detected a hint of laughter from her and he smiled.
She fell asleep soon after that. He held her close as he, too, drifted off.
Sometime later, Annie awoke to Cord stroking the curve of her waist, lightly. She knew it was early because it was still dark outside. She turned over and as soon as she did, Cord reached down and kissed her.
He threw a leg over and between hers. She didn’t hesitate to spread her legs, and he moved his body over hers.
She could feel him hard against her belly and then he moved down a little. She let out a moan when his fingers found her most sensitive spot.
He circled and dipped and circled and dipped a couple of times to get her wet. He reached out in the dark to feel for another foil packet.
Annie heard the foil tear and felt Cord’s hands between her legs.
“I want you again,” he whispered in her ear.
“Yes,” she replied in breathless anticipation.
Then he fed his cock into her, slowly, as was the momentum of that joining.
He took her mouth with his and moved in and out of her in a slow steady pace, all the while their tongues connected to each other.
After a while, he listened for a clue she was almost there. He was so ready to come but he fought it until she was ready. He heard it in her breaths as they became shorter and shorter. He placed a hand on the bed beside her arm and lifted slightly. He placed the index and middle finger of his other hand on her clit and massaged and tweaked and rubbed until he felt her tremble, and he sucked in her breaths.
Then just as quietly, when her muscles tightened around him, he came, letting out low breathy grunts into her mouth.
He took a moment to collect himself and then he pulled out of her and went to the bathroom to dispose of the condom.
When he came back, he turned on the bedside lamp. What he saw was the most sexiest woman he’d ever encountered. Annie was half sitting up, her head resting against the backboard. The sheet pulled up to just below her breasts. Her hair was a mess and her skin was glistening with sweat, but her eyes, yeah, her eyes said it all. They were sparkling as she was smiling up at him.
“Good morning,” Cord said as he sat down facing her.
“It certainly is, isn’t it?” she replied still smiling. Then he smiled that smile that melted her and pressed his lips to hers.
Annie left the pool house first, as they discussed. She went up the back steps to the back porch. The dim light was still on.
“Mew, mew.” She heard that familiar sound. She looked down just as the kitten rubbed against her calf.
“Good morning to you, too, Lady,” she said to the kitten as she bent down to pet it. The blonde and white striped kitten and she had become friends in the past week.
On the second day of working at the B&B, Annie walked onto the porch, with her coffee, for some fresh air while waiting for some pies to finish baking in the oven, and saw the kitten just sitting there looking up at her with huge blue eyes and its head tilted.
Annie fell in love with her right then and there, and brought out milk every morning for her.
“Wait there, I’ll be right back with your milk,” she said to Lady, and Lady waited impatiently as ever for it.
“Maybe he’s scared,” Calista said to Jennie.
“Scared? Why would he be? No, he’s just being unreasonable, Calista.”
“Did he give you a reason he doesn’t want to go?” Annie chimed in.
“Yeah, he said it’s too soon to meet my family. Geez, it’s not like I’m trying to trap him into marrying me or something,” Jennie said.
The girls were discussing Jennie’s fight with Jake over him not wanting to go to her yearly family reunion in two weeks. They were all in their bikinis, lying on lounge chairs around the pool. Even Lisa was there. Though she chose to converse with Jennie and Calista, and blatantly ignored Annie. Annie couldn’t care less.
Jake had been barbequing franks and burgers for dinner on the other side of the pool, where the grill was, along with Dan and Rory. They were drinking beer and trying to talk some sense into Jake about taking Jennie to her family reunion.
Jake was reluctant, he really liked Jennie but they were only dating a short while at that point and he wasn’t sure he was ready to meet her family.
Just at the opposite side of the pool from the girls were two of the house guests, Tommy and Ron. Both appeared to be around forty years old, or so. They checked in the day before. They were bikers, in town to meet up with some friends in a few days who, when all together, were going to ride up to California.
Tim McGraw’s ‘Better than I used to be’ was playing on the radio.
“I hate going to those things by myself year after year. Jake being there would be more enjoyable and the time would go quickly,” Jennie continued.
“You have to learn how to manipulate them when you want something from them, Jennie,” Lisa said.
What the F are you saying, manipulate?
Annie thought to herself, as she started to drift away from the conversation. Her mind drifted to, whom else, Cord. She hadn’t seen him in two days. He was busy with work and running around the ranch doing various jobs. By the end of the day, he was too busy to come out, but every night he and Annie would talk or text each other before going to bed.
She missed him and thought how needy that sounded, so she tried not to think of him only to find herself right back to thinking about him.
She didn’t expect to see him that night because he said he would be busy so when the pool gate opened and Annie looked up to see him walk through it, a big ass grin slowly crept on her face.
Oh Yes! Now that’s what I’m talking about,
she thought.
Jake and the boys shouted a hello, and Cord heard them, but he didn’t acknowledge anyone but Annie first. He walked to where she was lying on the lounge. As he got closer, she raised up a little. He straddled the chaise without sitting, bent at the waist, brought his hands to her cheeks, and crushed his lips to hers.
“Hi, gorgeous. Do you know how sexy you look, right now, in this string bikini and black diamond belly chain?” he asked as his smile reached his bright green eyes.
“Hi,” Annie sweetly said, then she stuck out her tongue to swipe her lips to hold on to his unique delightful taste.
“Mmmmm, I’m thinking naughty thoughts with that tongue,” he whispered as he rolled his eyes, shaking his head. He straightened up and swung a leg over the chaise. He turned to the girls and said, “Hello, ladies,” as he walked over to the guys by the grill.
“Oh, that was hot,” Calista said to Annie.
Annie told Calista that they hooked up, and she was pretty sure Rory and Jake knew. She wasn’t sure if anyone else knew, but judging from the steam that was coming out of Lisa’s ears, Lisa had just found out, and boy was she pissed.
Annie looked at her and smiled, then turned to Calista and said, “Yeah, it was.” Then she leaned back in the lounge and focused on Cord.
“What the fuck you doing out on a weeknight, McCreedy?” Jake asked, jokingly as he filled the buns with hot dogs and hamburgers. The guys laughed.
“Dog,” Rory drawled and he punched Cord playfully.
The guys walked over with plates of food. Cord handed Annie a plate with a chicken burger on it while she was sitting up with two feet on the ground facing Calista and talking to her. He was holding a plate with a hamburger on it for himself. He told her to scoot up and he straddled the lounge in back of her.
As they ate, they talked about anything and everything. Jennie was still trying to get Jake to commit to her family reunion. Annie thought he was getting close to going, but she would try to talk him into it the first chance they were alone.
Lisa was unusually quiet, even when Dan was flirting with her. Dan flirted with everyone, so no one was offended. That was Dan.
Everyone was having their own little conversation. Rory, who was sitting on Calista’s lounge near Cord and Annie, said to Cord, “Sweet?”
Cord knew exactly what he was saying and answered. “Fuck yeah. But… how’d you know?”
Annie started paying attention to what they were talking about, but kept her eyes on Calista. Calista also heard the little exchange between their guys.
“Fruit, man, look how much fruit they eat,” Rory answered Cord.
Annie knew he was referring to her and Calista. They looked at each other with wide eyes and Annie turned to Cord who watched her and grinned.
“Oh my God, are you two talking about-”
He bent down to kiss her before she finished her sentence and she melted into him.
God, he’s a great kisser,
was her only thought then.
Jennie jumped up, collected all the empty plates, and threw them out. Jake followed her to the garbage pail. Then she followed him to the grill and watched him clean it.
Annie was commenting on something Rory said, so she didn’t hear the little kitten mewing on the side of the lounge chair. Cord saw it and scooped it up.
“Well, well, what brings you here, little guy?” Cord said to the kitten.
Annie saw it out of the corner of her eyes. “Oh, hey there, Lady,” Annie said as she pet the kitten.
“How cute!” Jennie said as she and Jake came back to the group.
“So, you’re the culprit drinking all my milk,” Calista said.
In fact, everyone but Lisa acknowledged the cute kitty, but no one noticed.
Cord turned the kitty around to him and held it up.
“Annie, babe, what did you say its name was?” he asked, grinning.
“I’ve been calling her lady. I think she likes it.”
“Uh-huh, er, babe?” He paused, and she tilted her head up to him. He turned the kitten around for her to see its belly. “Lady has a pecker.”
“What?” Annie said, not believing her ears.
“See, this little pink thing below its belly?”
“Yeah?” Annie said as her eyes grew wide and her cheeks began to blush.
“Pecker, babe… Lady is a male,” Cord said, hysterically, and everyone burst out laughing, except for Lisa.
“Oh God, that’s so not funny. How pathetic,” Lisa muttered and she got up, stretched, and hips swaying, she walked over to the two bikers still sitting across the pool from them. They were drinking since they sat down.
“Oh no, sorry, little feller, we need to give you a strong, masculine name, huh,” Annie said playfully as she took the kitten from Cord and hugged it to her.
“How bout Duke?” Dan said.
“Or Brutus?” Calista said.
“I got it, Killer.” Jake teased.
Annie just rolled her eyes and laughed.
“You have to admit, those are some good masculine names,” Jennie said.
“Yeah, if he were a guard dog. I know, how about Frederick?” Annie said.
“Frederick?” Calista asked.
“Yeah. For Fredericksburg.”
“Oh, I like that,” Jennie said.
“Me, too,” Calista chimed in.
“How is that masculine?” Dan asked, laughing, and Jake and Cord laughed, too.
“Frederick is a good name for him,” Cord said to Annie while he, Jake, Rory and Dan had their eyes across the pool, watching Lisa. She was sitting in between the two bikers, and one was stroking her belly.
“What do you want to do?” Jake asked, speaking to Dan, Rory and Cord.
The girls turned to see what they were staring at. Lisa caught them all staring and chose that moment to kiss the biker on her right.
“Cord, you know she’s trying to make you jealous,” Rory said.
“Yep.”
“Is it working?” Annie asked softly.
Cord looked from Lisa to Annie. “Not in the least.” And he bent his head to kiss her.
“Fuck it, she’s a big girl, we don’t need to look out for her,” Cord said.
Frederick at that moment wiggled to get down. Annie placed him on the ground and he sauntered off.
Annie then leaned back into Cord’s chest, and he placed his hands on the strings at the hips of her bathing suit, playing with the ties.
Annie felt a warm flutter shoot out from low in her belly, to her limbs. In fact, she got that sensation a lot when he touched her, be it a deliberate stroke or an unassuming brush of his hand.
There was a series of loud booms, and within a moment the sky lit up with a colorful display of fireworks.
The girls all said, pretty much at the same time, “oooohhhh.” And on cue, all the guys laughed, even the two bikers across the way.
Annie looked to Calista who explained that a summer camp, not far from there, did that every year on the first day of camp and then will do it again on the last day of camp for the season. They used to do it every Friday night in the summer but it got too expensive.
Again, there was a series of booms, and again the night sky lit up with colorful fireworks. The girls all went “Aaahhh.”
Cord laughed and Annie turned to him.
“What, you don’t ooohhh and aaahhh at fireworks?” she asked, giggling.
“I can ooohhh and aaahhh, but not at fireworks,” he said, suggestively and low, but not low enough that Calista and Rory heard and laughed.
“What’s so funny?” Jake said.
No one answered as another burst of color hit the sky. And just when the girls were ooohhhing, Annie, very subtly, moved back into Cord and wiggled her butt on his package and yep, right on cue, she heard an “oooohhhhh” out of him.
She turned around to see his face. She was giggling as his mouth was opened in shock, with noticeable laugh lines, and his eyes were bright and deeper in color as he shook his head.
Rory burst out laughing. “Annie, you’re a riot,” he said in between breaths.
Annie and Calista turned to each other and wiped tears from their eyes from laughing so hard.
“You’re nuts, you know that, right?” Cord said.
“Yeah? Do you want to go for an aaahhh now?” she added.
He laughed and gently squeezed her thighs.
Jake turned to Calista and the two of them smiled. They both hadn’t seen Cord that playful since before his brother died.
Dan watched and listened to the whole exchange but did not comment.
Jennie was too far on the other end to hear much, she just smiled up at Jake in question, and he reached in and planted a kiss on her lips.
“Are we still going to Roxy’s tonight?” Dan asked to no one in particular.
Jake and Jennie both said yes. Calista and Rory said sure.
While they were all saying yes, Cord whispered in Annie’s ear. “Do you want to go?”
“Only if you go,” she replied.
“Nah, I have a better idea.”
“What?”
“Come home with me tonight.”
Annie turned around to look at him. “I don’t know-”
“You don’t have to be at work tomorrow.”
“Don’t you have work in the morning?”
“Yeah, but you can hang around at the house till I’m done, then we’ll go horseback riding.”
“You, sure?”
“Babe, you got ten minutes to pack a bag, or else I’m throwing you over my shoulder and kidnapping you.”
Annie flew out of her chair.
“Where are you going?” Calista asked.
“To pack a bag,” Annie said as she dropped a napkin and bent down to pick it up.
One of the bikers from across the pool tapped the one who had his tongue down Lisa’s mouth. He turned and the two of them stared at Annie’s ass. Annie was unaware and just kept on going toward the house.
Cord, however, was aware and watched them from across the pool with hooded eyes.
“How long your friends staying?” he asked Jake as he nodded the bikers’ way.
“Till Saturday, Sis?” Jake asked Calista.
“Yeah, that’s when they meet up with their friends,” she replied.
Cord and Annie said goodnight to the friends and left.
