Mirren’s descriptions are vibrant and we can feel the heat coming off the pavement of the hot, gorgeous Georgia day as strongly as if we were standing on the sidewalk ourselves. One Day in Ocilla is a delightfully satisfying read that introduces readers to the small town and its residents and provides a great escape for anyone looking for a little warm weather and an even warmer heart.
