“I can use a computer Beth.  If you search for CPS, you might find some really great social workers if you’re lucky.  But you’ll find a thousand dead children and broken families for every one of them.  With the way you two already act, I can’t see you as being the kind of social workers that really care about families.  So have fun with your legal kidnapping.  I hope a heart broken parent doesn’t take it upon themselves to put you out of your misery someday.”

“Someone ought to put you out of your misery Molli,” Leslie said.

“Are you threatening me Les?  I’ll tell Marcune.”

“I wouldn’t threaten you.  I was just suggesting that you might do a better job when you try to kill yourself next time.”

“Fuck you Leslie.  Take your ugly girlfriend and crawl back into the smelly cave that you two call a room.  You’d think that your room wouldn’t smell like dirty snatch with all the showers you two take.  And stay the hell off of my floor or I’ll plant a hidden camera in the shower room and show Marcune what you two do in there, late at night when no one’s around.”

“We’re not the only ones you’d catch,” Beth blurted.

Leslie gave her a look that could kill.  “Shut the fuck up Beth, you stupid bitch.”

“Hey, I’m not the stupid one, Molli’s the stupid one.”

Molli couldn’t control her laughter.  “I’m not as dumb as you are obviously.  I’m not the one that admitted that I get it on with another girl in the shower.”

Beth’s face got red.  “Oh shit.”

Leslie took Beth’s arm and dragged her down the hall.  Molli was still laughing when she went into the shower room.

She took a very thorough shower, trying to wash both the feel of Eduardo off of her body and the dirty way she’d felt when she was with Jeremy.  She didn’t like having to do things like what she’d done with Jeremy, but she couldn’t afford to get kicked out of Crestview.  With her grades, she figured she’d be one of the first girls to go if they decided to start kicking girls out for sneaking out.

Mellenda was in bed when she went back to their room, talking quietly on her phone.  Molli thought that she smirked at her before she turned her attention back to her conversation but she couldn’t be sure.

Chapter 5

The next day, Molli went to a tutoring session with a girl named Claristia.  It did her absolutely no good because the girl had almost no patience with her.  Molli knew that the girl probably thought she was stupid.  She was surprised she didn’t open her mouth and call her stupid because it was written all over her face when Molli asked her to go over a math question for the fifth time.

She was supposed to hang out with Jude that afternoon, but he called and cancelled only minutes before they were supposed to meet.  All in all, it was not a good day.  She was starting to think that she was going to fail math.  She thought that if her math teacher were only a man she could sleep with him for a passing grade since she had already lowered herself enough to give blow jobs to security guards but tried to put it out of her head.

She finished most of her math homework and was feeling really burnt out. Mellenda had left for the library a while ago.  She was glad not to have to deal with her roommate’s dramatic sighs and complaining that Molli was always using the only desk in their room since it seemed to take her three or four times as long to do her homework as it did Mellenda.  She removed her jeans and her bra and stood in front of the mirror, gazing at her reflection.

Molli was still standing in front of the mirror in nothing but her panties and a t-shirt when there was a knock at the door.  She opened it without thinking, not caring how she was dressed because it wasn’t like the other girls hadn’t seen her naked in the shower.  But it wasn’t one of her classmates who was standing on the other side of the door.  It was Mellenda’s sexy boyfriend.  She pulled him into the room and shut the door behind them, shoving the door stop under the door.

“What are you doing here Ricky?”

“Um, I’m guessing that Mellenda’s not here?”

He looked really uncomfortable.  Molli figured that she should probably put on her jeans.

“She went to the library in town to study.  She won’t be back ‘til late I don’t think.  Is there something that I can help you with?”

“I don’t think so.  It’s nice to see you Molli.  You look well.”

Molli almost giggled.  “Thank you Ricky.  You look pretty damned good yourself, though you always do.  I was so jealous when Mellenda told me she was going out with you.  When you were hanging out in town all the time, I had kinda hoped that it was me you were waiting for.”  She gave him a pout.

“I do like you Molli.  I’ve always liked you.  I would never have had the courage to ask out a girl like you.”

Hmm she thought, he was either insulting her or trying to come on to her.  A girl like her.  Mellenda was gorgeous and she got good grades.  She got crappy grades because of a learning disability no one wanted to help her with and she hated her hair, and didn’t like that she was as tall as she was.

“A girl like me?  What do you mean Ricky?”

“You’re beautiful, you’re smart, and you’re sweet.  You’re such a great person Molli.  I never thought that you would want anything to do with a guy like me.”

She laughed.  “A guy like you?  You’re hot as hell, you’re going to a good school, and you have a nice car and a nice apartment.  You already have a good job and you’re still in school.  What’s not to like?”

“Thank you Molli.  I guess I should go now.”

“Do you have to leave?”  She gave him another pout.

“I probably shouldn’t be here in the first place.  I wanted to talk to Mellenda about something and she wouldn’t answer her cell phone.”

“You’re so sweet driving all the way down here.  Mellenda won’t be home for hours.  It’s just you and me here, all alone.”

“Molli?”

“Yes?”

“This is probably the wrong thing to do, but may I kiss you?  I’ve always wanted to know what it would feel like to have your lips against mine.”

Molli wanted to jump for joy.  She’d thought that she was going to have to seduce him and he was asking to kiss her.  She smiled at him and pulled her shirt over her head, standing before him in nothing but her panties, which didn’t leave a lot to the imagination.  Her cell phone rang but she ignored it, knowing that it was probably Jude or maybe Eduardo, since she hadn’t bothered to give them separate ring tones.

She stepped in front of Ricky and guided him gently back to her bed as her phone continued to ring.

“Shouldn’t you get that?”

“No, it’s not important.  Nothing’s more important right now than you and me.”

“Oh Molli.”

They spent several minutes kissing.  Molli didn’t think she’d ever met a guy that kissed like Ricky.  When he kissed her, she felt like she was on another planet.  She could feel him getting an erection and wanted to rid herself of her panties but she didn’t want to look too desperate.  Yeah, she liked sex but this was Ricky.  She’d daydreamed about Ricky since the first time she’d seen him in town.

She moved her hand to Ricky’s zipper.  He stopped her.  “Molli.  Do you think this is a good idea?  Mellenda is your roommate and my girlfriend.”

Molli laughed.  “It’s not like I’m asking you to do it on her bed.”  Ricky made a face and she stopped laughing.  “I’m sorry Ricky.  It’s just that I’ve dreamed about being with you for so long that it’s going to be so hard for me to stop when I have you right here.  I know you want me.”

“Of course I want you Molli.  I’ve always wanted you.”

“Then how come you didn’t ask me out instead of Mellenda?”

“I was afraid you would say no.  Did you really dream of being with me?”

“Oh yes, Ricky.  You’re so exotic looking.  I love your skin and your hair and your eyes.  They’re so dark and mysterious.  I feel like I could fall right into your eyes.”

“Thank you.  I would very much like to make love to you, but I don’t think that it’s the right thing to do.  If I wasn’t with Mellenda I would jump at the chance to be with you, but I don’t want to do this to her.  I don’t want to be unfaithful.”

“Ricky.”

“Yes Molli?”

“I promise you that you won’t regret this.”  She took his hand and placed it over her heart.  “Can you feel what you do to me just by being here?  I’ve wanted you for so long.  I don’t think I can take it anymore.”

“You have a boyfriend too, don’t you?”

“Yes, a boyfriend and an old lover that I can’t get rid of.  I don’t want to talk about them and I don’t want to talk about Mellenda.  I just want to be with you.  Please Ricky.  Even if it’s only one night.”

“I don’t know if I’d be able to stop myself after one night with you Molli.”

“See, we want to be together.  Let’s be together.  We can pretend that no one else exists for a while.  I’d really like to be able to do that sometimes.”

Ricky reached out and touched her face.  “Don’t you realize that you have the most beautiful face, the most beautiful body and the most beautiful heart?”

Molli thought that he was going to make her cry if he didn’t get it over with and screw her.  “Thank you Ricky.  I feel the same way about you.  Now can we please have sex?”

She pulled her panties off and tossed them on the floor beside the bed.

“I. . . Yes, I will make love to you.  But I don’t have protection.  Mellenda is allergic to regular condoms.  The others can be rather expensive so I don’t carry them with me.  I’m sorry.”

“Don’t worry about it.  I’m on birth control and I know you’re clean.  You only do it with Mellenda and it’s obvious she only does it with you because she’s so prissy.”

Ricky laughed.  “She can be, yes.  You are so openly sexual.  It’s refreshing.”

“Thank you Ricky.  Now come here.”

She soon had him stripped of his clothes and beneath her on the bed.  She wanted him so badly that she didn’t think she could stand to let him be on top their first time.  She was afraid that he would want to take it too slow.  While she would love nothing more than to spend hours making love to him, Mellenda was going to come home and she certainly couldn’t afford to take the chance that her roommate might find them together.  Molli was sure that Mellenda would report her to Marcune for having a guy in their room even if it weren’t her boyfriend that Molli was with.

She kept her eyes locked on his as she moved above him.  She loved it, because he never looked away.  She saw him swept up in the passion of their coupling, she saw that dissolve into a dreamy sort of satisfaction, and then she saw it change to the simple joy of being with her.  Ricky looked at her like she was the only woman on the planet, in the whole universe.

When they had both achieved orgasm, she moved off of him and pulled her panties back on.  She needed to shower.  It wasn’t because she wanted the feel of Ricky off of her body.  It was because she could smell him on her skin, light traces of his cologne, even a hint of soap.  She was afraid that Mellenda would recognize the smell.

He kissed her.  ‘Is everything okay Molli?”

“Yes. It was incredible, even better than I ever dreamed it would be.  I have to shower.  I smell like you and I’m afraid Mellenda will recognize it.  You have a really distinctive smell.  You smell so good that it makes me want to eat you alive.”

Ricky chuckled.  “Thank you Molli.  You smell delicious yourself.  What perfume do you wear?”

“It’s a body spray actually.  Coconut and lime.”

“I see.  Would you like a cigarette?”

“Yeah, let me open the window and then you can come in the bathroom with me.”

He handed her her shirt and then picked his clothes up off of the floor.  He put his boxers and jeans on and lay his shirt and socks aside on the bed.

She put her shirt on and then pulled up the window, leaning out to let herself feel the crisp autumn air.  It was invigorating.  She was almost tempted to ask Ricky if he wanted to go out in the woods and do it again.  Then she figured that would be pushing her luck and followed him into the bathroom.

She flipped the switch for the overhead fan and took the cigarette that Ricky handed her.  She leaned over and he lit it for her.  It tasted different than any cigarette she’d ever smoked, certainly better than the generic crap that Jude was always bumming from his Dad she thought.  She thought she tasted a hint of vanilla.

“These are expensive aren’t they?”

“Yes, that’s why I don’t smoke that often.  I have to get them at smoke shops.  They cost as much as $15 a pack sometimes.”

“Wow.  I knew you had a good job, but not that good.”

He laughed.  “I like that you say what you think Molli.”

She shrugged.  “Why shouldn’t I?  I got so tired of keeping everything locked up inside.  It was driving me crazy.  I wish I would have asked you out instead of waiting for you to ask me.  Did you really like me more than you liked Mellenda?”

He nodded.  “I always have.  She seems so tame in comparison to you.  I mean no offense when I say that.  I thought that you would never want to be with someone like me.  I must seem so boring to you.”

“You’re not boring Ricky.  You’re sexy and funny and so smart.  I probably would have asked you out if I wasn’t afraid that you thought I was stupid.  A lot of people think I’m stupid.”

“I would never think you were stupid.  I don’t like to think that anyone is stupid.  Ignorant, uneducated and stubborn maybe, but not stupid.”

She had an almost overwhelming urge to cry again.  She put her arms around him, letting him bury his head in her hair.  He pulled back a few minutes later and sighed.  “I guess that I’d better get out of here.  I don’t want to get you into trouble and I certainly don’t want to be here when Mellenda gets back.”

Molli hid a smile.  She kissed him.  “Thank you for a very special night Ricky.  I hope we can do it again sometime.”

“I’d like that very much.  May I have your phone number?  I’ll have to put it under another name in my phone because Mellenda is so nosy, though.”

“Yes, of course.”  She threw her cigarette in the toilet and flushed when he had finished his and discarded it.  She sprayed some air freshener and then followed him back into the bedroom, deciding to leave the window open for a bit longer.

He put his shirt and shoes back on and then took out his cell phone.  She gave him her phone number and then put his into her phone.  She gave him a kiss that she hoped would leave him wanting more and then pulled the door stop out from underneath the door.  “I wish you didn’t have to leave.”

“Me too.  I’ll call you or text you when I figure out when we can get together again.  I don’t text much, but I think I would enjoy hearing from you in any form.”

“You’re so sweet.  I guess you’d really better get out of here.  Those crabby old ladies patrol the halls at random sometimes.”

Ricky kissed her cheek.  “Goodnight Molli.”

“Goodnight Ricky.”

He turned to the door and then turned back to look at her.  “Molli?”

“Yes?”

“I don’t want you to think that what we did didn’t mean anything to me.  Some people seem to think that sex is just one body giving another body pleasure.  I don’t believe that it has to be like that.  I think that sex can be meaningful and powerful, an experience that moves the soul as well as the body.  I felt like that when I was with you.”

“Oh Ricky.  Thank you.  It was very special for me too.  I’ve never felt like that before.”
