“Please, Marco,” she begged, gripping the edge of the desk.

His gaze, so hot and yet so controlled, met hers and then he thrust inside her to the hilt.

“Brandy.” He groaned, his eyes closed and he stayed buried inside her for a second.

She let her eyelids flutter shut as well. Each breath she took in just accentuated how wonderfully he filled her.

He tightened his hands around her thighs and began a slow rhythm. With each thrust the pace increased, and the deeper he moved inside her.

The blood roared through her veins, sweat gathered on her body. Her hips moved against him, greedily meeting each thrust.

He released one of her legs from his grasp to rub her sweet spot, and she fell apart again.

“Marco!” She cried out. Squeezing him as the waves of orgasm rolled over.

“Oh, God.” He thrust hard, his hips wedging her legs open even further as he came inside her.

His hands slid down to the desk and he supported his weight as he made shallow thrusts through his own climax.

Her pulse slowed a little and her vision became less hazy. She saw the pleasure and the naked emotion in his face.

Reaching up, she ran her hand down his cheek.

“You okay?”

“I don’t think I can walk.” He grunted and nuzzled her breast.

“Neither can I. And I only blame half of that on the heels.”

He laughed, the movement shaking her breast and causing her nipple to stand at attention again. His gave it a light flick with his tongue.

“Marco.” She groaned. “This is the first time I’ve ever had sex on a desk, and though it’s been fabulous, I can’t see it happening again right now.”

“No?” He lifted his head, a wicked grin on his face sent warmth through her. He was so damn sexy—lethally sexy.

“No.” Her own lips twitched and she gave him a light push. “I’m thinking pillows and a mattress next time.”

“You know what? I just happen to have some of those at my house.”

“Is that so? Does that mean…” She pulled his head down towards hers. “I don’t have to sleep in the ganja lounge tonight?”

“No, I think you’ve inhaled enough second hand smoke. Tonight you get to sleep in the Marco lounge.” He brushed his mouth across hers and then stood.

“I like the sound of that.” She took the hand that he offered her and climbed off the desk. “Now where the heck did you throw my clothes?”

Chapter Nine

How the hell that gothic-looking bitch had lost him on the road this afternoon was beyond his comprehension, but the fact that she had seriously pissed off Gordon.

Something had happened to Brandy. She’d changed. Though the fact that she’d run out on him at the altar had been a big clue on that in the first place.

At least the fact that she hadn’t left Vegas was a big relief. She had to be staying somewhere nearby. And who was the ballsy girl who’d been with her? Shit. He needed to get Brandy back. And fast.

Wandering around the drugstore, he grabbed a candy bar and tossed it into his basket. Then after a moment hesitation, added a second one. Almost out of the aisle, he grabbed some gummy candy that he’d always warned his patients would rip their fillings right out.

Damn. What was wrong with him? He hadn’t had a sugar binge like this since he’d been a kid.

But each day that went by where he didn’t get Brandy back, he seemed to sink further and further into a desperate funk. The usual stuff didn’t matter. Who cared whether his shirt had a designer label? Hell, who gave a shit if his hair was combed? He just wanted to eat. Eat and fuck. Damn it, he had one hell of a hard-on. He needed to get laid—something to take the edge off right now. Not that it would help much.

Standing in line at the checkout stand, of course he wound up behind a young red-haired twenty-something. Tiny shorts that barely covered her ass and a tank top that hugged her tits. And he had no trouble checking her out.

She looked over her shoulder, probably catching his blatant leer.

“I see you’ve got a sweet tooth,” she said, suddenly and then giggled. “My friend saw you earlier. She said you were famous. Are you?”

He stared at her small breasts and answered with a brief nod.

She placed a hand on her hip and adjusted her body so her chest stuck out further. “Nice…so what are you doing later?”

Watching you suck me off.
He didn’t say the words aloud, but knew she wouldn’t have any doubts when she looked into his eyes.

He was all too familiar with the little fame whores. Women who’d sleep with anyone who might even be remotely famous. They got off on it. And he just got off. He had no problem taking what they were so willing to give. Especially since Brandy was about as fun to fuck as peeling potatoes.

“Wait for me out front,” he told her as she paid for her six-pack of beer.

Excitement flickered in her eyes and she nodded. “I’ll do that. Let me just bag out of my plans with my friends.”

After she’d disappeared out the door and his dick was pounding with the promise of sex, his phone began to ring.

Cold sweat beaded on his brow as he jerked his cell from his pants pocket to check the ID. Caller Unknown.

“Fuck.” A chill ran down his spine and he shoved the phone back in his pocket.

It had to be him. The bookie who’d been stalking him like he was a goddamn turkey on Thanksgiving.

He paid for his stuff and headed outside. Someone touched his shoulder and he spun around with a curse.

The girl from inside giggled and stepped back. “Oops, scared ya, did I?”

His teeth snapped together and he bit back a growl. God, she was annoying. But she was a woman who wanted to screw him, so he’d take it.

“My name’s Anna, by the way—”

“I don’t need to know your name.”

He watched her. Waiting to see if his cold bluntness would deter her, and doubting it would.

“Oh.” She gave a slow nod, understanding dawning in her eyes. “Okay. So where’s your car.”

Smothering a laugh, he didn’t answer and just turned to walk toward it. He knew she’d follow.

He’d have her suck him off in the car down some dark street, and then drop her back off at the drugstore. It wasn’t much, but at least she was free—unlike that whore he’d brought to the hotel after Brandy had ditched him. Stress made him horny though. It was a weakness he despised in himself.

There wasn’t time for a hotel. It was too risky with time running out. No, tonight he’d get his things and go back to his home. Not for long though, it wasn’t safe.

He should’ve never let the gothic bitch whisk Brandy away. One thing was certain–he wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. In fact…maybe it was time to enlist outside help in locating her.

Waking up next to Brandy was an interesting experience. Marco braced himself up on one elbow and watched her as she slept.

She hogged the bed. She’d rolled to the very middle and had one arm thrown across his side of the bed. And she snored.

And yet she was the sexiest, most interesting woman he’d ever woken up next to.

He touched one of her curls, which, with the new haircut, wasn’t as wild as it had been the other morning.

She did look good with the makeover Val had done. But she’d looked good to him before, too.

“Why are you staring at me?” she muttered and buried her face into the pillow.

“Because you’re a woman in my bed.”

“Hmm. You’re that easy?” She yawned and pulled the sheet up to her chin.

“So I’ve been told.” He grinned and reached out to tickle her side.

She gasped and rolled away. “No tickling!”

He followed her across the mattress, pinning her down with his own weight.

“Beg for mercy?” He moved his fingers to the sides of her rib cage.

“Mercy!” she squealed. “Please, I’m begging you. Mercy!”

“I like it when you beg.” He grinned and released her.

She climbed out of bed and stuck her tongue out. “We’ll see who’s begging later.”

He watched her walk naked across the room. The curves of her body jiggling in all the right spots. He felt himself getting hard again and bit back a groan.

Jesus. How many times could he fuck this woman silly before he got tired of her? They’d gone at it two more times after returning from the bar last night.

He cleared his throat. “How do you feel about grabbing espresso and something to eat?”

“Do we have time?” she called over her shoulder.

“It’s only eight-thirty, we don’t have to be in until eleven.”

“Sounds good to me.”

“Great. I’m going to get on the computer for a second and then I’ll get ready.”

She gave a little wave of her hand and then disappeared into the hallway.

Marco leaned back against the pillow, biting back a sigh. He needed to get control of his hormones. She’d turned his brain to mush the past few days.

Going to bed with her had at least taken the edge off, given him a clearer head. Just barely. He climbed out of bed, thinking about the amount of emails he probably had in his in-box.

Brandy narrowed her eyes and stared at her naked body in the mirror. Full breasts with a couple of love marks that could be covered with a bra, the flare of her hips gave her a provocative all too feminine look.

Usually she looked at her body with something close to disappointment—even annoyance. But not today. She’d woken up this morning with an entirely different outlook.

Today only one word came to mind while staring at herself naked. Sensual.

She lowered her gaze to the mass of curls between her legs and new words popped into her head. Cavewoman. Yikes.

Glancing at the bathroom door she wondered just how much time she had before Marco wanted to run and grab coffee. Hmm. She probably had a few minutes.

She shook her head, staring at the curls between her legs. Lots of women got waxed down there. Maybe it was time for her to take the plunge.

Oh! She knelt down and opened the cabinet under the sink, remembering the shopping trip with Val yesterday. They’d picked up some necessaries at the drugstore, including a bottle of hair removal cream and a razor.

Might as well make use of this stuff. But which one?

She considered the bottle and the razor. Sweat broke out on her back as she stared at the razor.

“Absolutely freaking not.” There was no way that blade on a stick was going anywhere near her private area.

Which meant…the cream. She grabbed the bottle and squeezed a good amount into her hand, then began to liberally apply it on every piece of hair below her navel and above her knees. Recapping the bottle she set it down and sighed. Okay now what. Just wait a bit?

Footsteps sounded in the hall, and she tensed. He wasn’t ready yet, was he?

“Give me a few more minutes, Brandy. Sorry, Sebastian called.”

“Not a problem,” she yelled back and stared at the white lotion all over her body.

Wouldn’t he be surprised when he found her all silky smooth?

She closed her eyes, envisioning Marco’s strong hands. Long fingers, calloused hands. Those hands on her…in her.

“Marco, I am going to be one hot woman for you,” she muttered quietly. “When this stuff comes off—oh.” She blinked, shifting her stance. “Wow, that kind of hurts.”

She looked down at the lotion and how red her lower body had turned. The slow burn intensified.

“Wait, no ‘kind of’ about it. That hurts.” She reached for a towel and started wiping it off, gasping. “Oh God! It burns! It burns!”

She waddled over to turn on the shower, her eyes watering.

Marco was suddenly at the bathroom door, knocking.

“Brandy? What is it?” The doorknob turned, but he couldn’t open it since she’d locked the door.

“Nothing—ow! Damn! Shit!”

“Are you actually cursing? What’s—”

“Ouuuuch!”

Wood splintered as he broke the lock and the door swung open. Marco rushed in, his frantic gaze seeking her out.

“What the…Why’d you break down the door?” Her own pain was momentarily forgotten.

“Because you were screaming in pain and not really answering me.” He rubbed his shoulder and stared at her, looking slowly up and down her body. “What’s all over your…”

God, this was embarrassing.

“Never mind,” she muttered and moved under the spray of water. “I was trying to make myself look sexier for you.”

“You do look sexy.” His eyes darkened.

“Are you insane? This devil’s cream is burning the hell out of my crotch and legs right now.”

“I see it different. I see a naked woman in my shower.” He stood up and pulled off his shirt, then began to take off his pants. “That’s pretty sexy in my book.”

Most of the lotion had rinsed off her body, the sting had begun to fade to a dull throb.

He stepped into the shower with her and wrapped an arm around her waist.

“What are you doing?” Her pulse quickened.

His lips nuzzled her neck. “I figure you might need help easing that burn.”

“You’re crazy.” She shook her head, then sighed when he cupped her breast. “But I’m not going to complain.”

His thumb stroked her nipple, sending a different heat through her body.

“Good. I hate complainers,” he murmured and covered her mouth with his own.

She kissed him back, her body responding to his expert touch and kiss. Good lord she wanted him again. Even after all the times they’d done it last night.

Moisture pooled between her thighs as Marco pressed himself closer. His erection brushed against her belly and she reached down to touch him.

He groaned and grabbed her hand. “Princess, if you touch me…”

“Yes?” She looked at him through lowered lashes and smiled. “Because actually, I had it in mind to do a whole lot more than just touch.”

He drew in a swift breath. “Is that so?”

“Mmm hmm.” Her heart sped up. Was she really about to be this bold?

Before she could second-guess her decision, she slipped to her knees in the stall. She took his erection in her hand and moved her hand up and down the length of him. Then she leaned forward and drew her tongue across the tip.

“Brandy,” he choked. “You don’t have to do this. I came in here to help you.”

“And you did.” She tilted her head to look up at him. “Now I’m thanking you.”

“I see.” He gave a ragged gasp when she kissed him again. “Then by all means…keep on thanking.”

“You’re not pulling a double again are you?” Sebastian asked, sliding his shades up onto his head as he walked into the bar.

Marco looked up from his task of straightening up some of the tables.

“I figure I’ll stay until six. I’m thinking of sending Brandy home, we’ve been slow all day.”

“Monday’s usually are,” Sebastian agreed and pulled out a chair, spun it around and sat on it backwards. “We do great during the weekend, but I think we’re losing money during the week.”

“Yeah.” Marco scratched the back of his neck and pursed his lips. “We need to find a way to bring in more on weekdays.”

“You guys should do karaoke,” Brandy said coming up behind them. She pulled out another chair at the table and sat down.

She stared at him from a moment, before her cheeks tinged pink. Her lashes fluttered down again. “Seriously, I think it would bring in a lot of business.”

Marco’s gaze lingered on her. The memory of last night and then their shower this morning still fresh in his head. He curled his fingers into a fist as the itch to walk over and touch her—kiss her, took hold.

Karaoke. She’d mentioned karaoke. Get it together
.

“Hmm. Karaoke’s been done more than a two-dollar—” He broke off and winced, shooting an apologetic look at Brandy. “Sorry.”

“Yeah, watch it, buddy.” She wrinkled her nose at him. “I’m starting to understand that it’s a favorite phrase of yours, but you’re still not completely on my good side yet.”

“Yes, mate, you’d better watch it,” Sebastian piped in. “Though I’m with Marco. Karaoke’s overdone.”

“Hmm. Well what else could you do?” She drummed her nails on the table and pursed her lips. “I’ve got it. What if we brought in live music once a week? Feature local bands. That way you could even charge a small cover fee if you wanted.”

“Local bands?” Marco asked, a little dubious on the idea.

“Sure! I have a couple of students, seriously talented, who went on after high school to form bands. They would love this kind of opportunity.”

“Are they even old enough to be in a bar?” he drawled raising an eyebrow.

“Well let’s see. Phil graduated in…” Her forehead wrinkled in the cutest

way. “Yes. He should be about twenty-three now.”
