Dylan stood there shocked trying to understand what was happening. “Is what she’s saying true? Are you having a child together with… with her?”

Rade looked back at Dylan. All he could see was the hurt and anger in her eyes. He was speechless. He didn’t know what to say. “Dylan, let me explain.”

“What’s there to explain, Rade? It’s pretty simple! Either she’s having your baby or she’s not,” Dylan cried.

“It’s complicated,” Rade choked as he walked closer to her.

“Don’t... I just got my answer,” Dylan retorted, no longer able to hold back her tears.

Backing away from him, Dylan quickly turned and ran up the flight of stairs. She was numb. It was a wonder she didn’t fall, as quickly as she ran up the slick steps.

“I don’t know what your game is, Chloe, but even if I am the father of your child, you will never have me,” Rade cursed before he slammed the door on her. He needed to get to Dylan.

Taking the steps two at a time, he ran after Dylan. His only hope was that he could get her to calm down so he could explain what he knew to be true. He couldn’t lose her, not again.
