“It’s going to hurt, Morgan,” he whispered.  “I’ll go slow, okay, but if it’s too much, tell me.”

I
nodded, my body so electric that I was afraid to open my mouth.

I felt a pinch down below and bit my lip as my fists clutched the sheets beneath me.  The pain was bad – nearly unbearable, but I tolerated, waiting for the good stuff to begin.

He did go slowly, his eyes watching every expression that crossed my face, and when I finally relaxed, he upped his rhythm.

I didn’t expect mind-blowing pleasure my first time, and I didn’t experience it, but it was pleasant and nice once the pain had stopped.

When he finished, he peppered my face with kisses, whispering words of love.

“You okay?” he asked.

“Yes,” I said, wrapping my arms around his neck.

He kissed me before rolling to the edge of the bed and returning with his t-shirt.  “Put this on and go to the bathroom.  You’ll probably want to.”

Grinning, I did as he said, my shaky legs barely carrying me out of the room.  I glanced in the mirror, surprised at the happiness on my face, and quickly cleaned up so I could get back to Evan.

Later, after setting up a litter box and bed, we closed the kitten up in the bathroom, not wanting her to wander around while we slept and hurt
herself.

Evan held me agai
nst his body as we snuggled in my bed, caressing my arm as dim light from the street lamps filtered into the room.

“Are you sure you’re okay with everything?” he asked.

I sat up, resting my chin on his chest.  “For the first time in a long time, I really am.  I love you, Evan.  I wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else.”

He kissed my nose.
“Me, either.”

I glance
d at the clock on the table next to the bed.  “It’s after midnight.  It’s Christmas Eve.”

“You’re going home, right?” he asked.

“Yeah,” I said with a pout.  “But I’ll be back the day after Christmas.”

“Excellent,” he said with another kiss.  “You’ll have to come to my house for dinner.  My uncle was quite taken with you after your short meeting.  Now my aunt really wants to meet you.”

I smiled, a little nervous at the thought of dining with his family.  But it would be okay.  Hopefully, there would plenty more dinners in the future.

Evan yawned, covered his mouth, and then closed his eyes.
“Merry Christmas, Morgan.”

“Merry Christmas,” I said as I drifted off to sleep.
