Angyl smiled at her son then turned and said thank you to Ace before she looked at her son and said. “Nathan baby, Ace’s sister is coming over to watch you now.”

“Who's Ace's sister, mommy? Is she fun?”

“Yes, my sister is very fun and she loves playing games. Do you know any games to play with her?”

“Will she play hide and seek?” Nathan asked getting excited.

“You know, I think that's her favorite game.” Ace said smiling like a kid. Ace knew his sister hated playing hide and seek.

     “YAY!” Nathan shouted.

“Thank you Ace, for asking your sister to baby sit.” Angyl said gratefully.

“It was no problem, and she was happy to do it.” Ace said glad that he could make her happy.

Chapter 8

While Angyl, Ace, and Nathan were playing in the yard Abigail showed up, she sat back and just watched them. She had seen when Angyl stiffened up while Ace was spinning her, and saw him mentally kick himself in the ass. She found it funny that he had this much feelings for one woman. She liked Angyl a lot already, and didn't want to see her get hurt. When she had met her that first day she couldn't help care about Angyl from the beginning. After knowing what she had been through, she had respect for the strength Angyl showed with everything going on. Abigail never had female friends, but Angyl was a female that she wanted to be friends with, so when Ace called her to baby sit, she cancelled all the appointments she had and came to watch Angyl's kid.

Now looking at them she could tell from here that Nathan looked like his mom and even from this distance she knew she had just lost her heart to this little boy. It was during her thinking about that, that she heard Ace tell Nathan that she would be there soon, and that her favorite game was hide and seek. She hated that game, but she would play it with Nathan happily. She decided it was time to go over and talk to them.

“Hey guys, having fun?” Abby asked.

“Hey Abby, glad to see you made it. “ Ace said. “Oh and yes we were having fun.”

“I told ya I would be here to watch Nathan.” Abby said exasperated.

“I know.” Ace laughed he liked to get his sister riled up.

“Hi Angyl, I hope you’re having a good day so far.” Abby said looking at Angyl trying to ignore her brother.

“Yes I am.” Angyl said smiling. “This is my son Nathan.”

“Well hi Nathan, my names Abigail, but you can call me Abby if you want.” Abby said with a bright smile for Nathan.

“Hi Abby.” Nathan said with a big grin on his face “You’re pretty, not as pretty as my mommy, but you come in right after my mommy.” Nathan said innocently, well as innocently as any 3 year old.

“Thanks.” Abby said not knowing what else to say.

“You’re welcome.” Nathan said with a big grin.

“Nathan, mommy needs to go to work, I love you sweetie.”

“I love you too mommy, have a good day at work.”

     “
Ok
I will.” Angyl said to her son then she turned to Ace “I need to talk to you.”

“Let's go inside then.” Ace said to Angyl. He then turned towards his sister and Nathan and replied “See you guys later.”

“Abby, Abby, Abby. Let’s play hide and seek outside, you seek first.”

    “You hide, I will count to 20.” Abby said “1, 2, 3, 4......”

Ace and Angyl went inside in the middle of Abby counting.

     “So what’s up Angyl?”

“I got a call saying I can go through things over at the book store, so I was wondering if you could take me over there. Also before we stop there, can we stop by your attorney’s office so I can get my son in your care, if anything happens to me?”

“Yes we can do that, just let me go get ready, then we can go.”

     “
Ok.

Angyl and Ace were inside the attorney’s office within an hour from when she asked. Now they were sitting, waiting for him to get back with the papers they needed to sign for her will to be official. She made her will simple everything that's hers goes to her son and her son goes to Ace, under the agreement, that he is to take him to her parents at least once a month, and let her son stay a weekend during school seasons. During the summer he is allowed to stay one weekend a month and for one month he is allowed to spend 2 weeks straight during the summer, being able to have fun with them. Ace had already agreed to her terms on the way here, so now it was all written up all they needed to do now was sign. It was in the middle of her thinking to herself about everything that the attorney came back with the papers.

“Angyl, now I want you to look these over and make sure they are correct.” the attorney said.

Angyl looked over them and then said “Yes, they look fine. Where do I need to sign?”

“Well you will sign on this line.” the attorney said. Angyl signed on her line then the attorney turned to Ace and said, “Now you need to look it over and if it's all right, you will sign here.” Ace looked it over then signed his part. He hadn't told Angyl yet but he had already been in here and left everything of his to her and her son. He made sure the attorney knew not to say anything.

“Well that's everything, I will file this for you all, have a nice day.”

They walked out of the attorney’s office and drove over to the book store. She had her own key and let them in and was frozen for a moment with memories. She snapped out of it and went over to the books and decided to start packing them up into boxes. They had boxes in the back of the store. They packed a copy of each book that was in the store into boxes to take to Ace's home. After she was done packing books and crying she decided that they needed movers to come do the rest of the books, as this was too hard for her to handle.

“Ace will you please find someone to pack everything up, I want them to take the copies of books that are left to another used book store and sell what they can. The rest that won’t sell, please have them donate. They can take their payment out of what they get from the books. I have packed up one copy of each book that we had here already, we will take them to your place and use what you do not have, any that are left after that I will keep for myself. Also I would like them to pack up everything else and bring it to me so I can go through what can be sold.”

“Yes Angyl, I will have them do all that, let’s get back to the house.” Ace said hurting for Angyl, knowing that there was nothing he can do to help ease her pain.

“Thank you Ace.” Angyl said sniffling.

They made it back to the house and she decided to quickly go check on her son.

“Hey sweetie are you being good for Abby?” Angyl asked her son.

“Yes mommy, she played hide and seek with me, then fed me breakfast ‘cause I was so hungry.” Nathan said.

“Wow sounds like you guys had fun. What are you guys doing now?”

“We are coloring mommy, Abby said I could make one more picture before nap time, then after nap we will have lunch.”

“Oh that’s awesome little man. I’m going to talk to Abby, then go back to work, can mommy get hugs and kisses.” Angyl said while reaching down to scoop her son up into a big hug and then gave him a kiss. “I love you sweetie.”

“I love you too mommy, I’m going to finish my picture now.”

     “
Ok
honey.” Angyl said as she turned towards Abby and said “Would you like to go to the zoo with us when I am done?”

     “Sure.” Abby said.

“Great. I had to go with Ace to do a couple of errands this morning, so I haven't gotten any work done on the library down stairs. Can you keep Nathan busy ‘til around 4 pm, when I would normally get off?”

“Yep, I can do that for you.”

“Oh and Nathan doesn't take naps, I can usually get him to lay down long enough for a movie so pick wisely on what movie. It's probably the only rest you will get.” Angyl said giggling.

“Ah well thanks for the warning, I will make sure I find a long kids movie.” Abby said while laughing. She was thankful for the warning she was already getting wore out.

“I will be back up when I am done; can you both be ready to go by then?”

     “Yep, see you later.”

Chapter 9

Angyl had been working the better part of 3 hours straight in the library. She had gotten all the walls painted with a sky blue color with white fluffy clouds spaced here and there to help make the room feel open and comfortable. She had ordered the new book shelves and painted them all a matching green so it would go with the cloud scheme, she had also put in a hard wood floor, and she had also gotten really pretty purple chairs and a couch with side tables. With everything set up where she thought they would work best, Angyl had decided that she was done. She had worked hard getting everything to look just right and she hoped when Ace saw it he would love what she had done.

Angyl went to find her son and started to feel like someone was watching her. She looked around and didn’t see anyone, so she continued heading to her sons’ room to see if they were all there, when something caught her eyes out the window. She went to look and what she thought she saw scared her more than anything, because perched in a tree was a man who looked like her ex-husband. She blinked and when she looked again he was gone, as she was pondering if she was losing her mind or not she didn’t hear Ace come up behind her, so when he said hi she jumped and screamed.

“Angyl it’s OK. It's just me.” Ace said looking worried.

“Ssssooorrryy.” Angyl said as she tried to calm down. “ Sorry I just thought I saw my ex-husband out there in the tree.”

     “
Ok,
come with me I’ll call the guards to do a perimeter check.” Angyl followed him to his office.

“Yes, this is Ace, I need a perimeter check around all the grounds, mm hmm,
Ok
, yes. I want you to look for anyone who doesn’t belong. Why didn’t you call me when you picked up a weird scent, I understand, thank you. When you’re done give me a call back.” Ace said. Ace hung up the phone and blew out a frustrated breath.
