“You need me, baby?” he asks after breaking away. And I do. I really, really do and he knows this. They said earlier that this would happen. Lily said it, my body screams it.

“Yes,” I pant breathily.

“This will be the only time you can take from me, Kenly. After this, I’m in charge of everything. So, baby, you’d better take exactly what you want, right now,” he warns, kicking my libido into hyper-drive. I move down his body, his boxer-covered dick right at my folds, hard and ready. God, so fucking big. As I move my hips back and forth, his dick grows even larger against me.

“I’m not sure you’re going to fit.” The more it grows, the more I’m thinking not.

“It will. You were made for me from the Heavens. My dick will fit in every spot of your body with ease,” Max says with all the confidence in the world.

Well, if I’m going out it may as well be with a bang. I pull down his briefs just enough to grip his dick, squeezing it hard then lining it up with my core. As his head enters, I swear the world around me stops. I lower farther and farther, and yet farther down on to him, every nerve in my body igniting in a continuous rolling wave of unbelievable pleasure.

I wiggle my hips then come in contact with his pelvic bone. He’s all the way in. Holy shit. I can feel him everywhere. I’ve had lots of sex in my life, but never, never has it ever felt anything like this and I haven’t even moved yet. It’s perfect. The sculpted man below me is the sexiest thing to ever walk this planet, with his cut chest and broad shoulders and the treasure trail of hair between his chiseled abs leading to his glorious rod that is sticking so far inside of me that I swear he’s in my throat.

“Are you gonna move?” The seductive murmur from his full lips draws me in and I bite mine. Something inside of me snaps and I move, up and down like I am on a raging bull. Max’s hips thrust up and I move down, getting on my feet to use them for leverage. Max’s hands grip my hips so tight and I can see by the strain in his arms that it’s taking everything he has inside of him not to take control of this movement.

Each slam, over and over, it builds. It grows so damn much I’m going to explode. I feel it coming and there is no way to stop it. Max’s palm covers my clit and begins to move back and forth swiftly. I shatter, screaming myself into oblivion, feeling every bit of sexual fire in my body.

Max doesn’t give me a second to rest as he flips me onto my back, never breaking contact with me. “You had your fun. Now it’s my turn.”

I gaze up at him. His eyes turn from that sexy green to almost white as his lust climbs to impalpable levels. Shit. He lifts my knees, rolling them to either side of my chest, and then all reason leaves me. All thoughts gone. Everything disappears as Max takes from my body everything that I am able to give. At this moment, that is anything and everything.

His thrusts are so gloriously harsh and brutal that I come twice more before he explodes inside of my body, sweat beading on his face and down his chest. Max falls on top of me, but then rolls to the side, looking down at me. “That help at all?”

I thought it was a strange question, until the roll starts back up in my belly. My body demands more. What the hell? I just had a shit-ton of orgasms. More than I’ve had with any other partner at one time and my body wants more? I don’t know if I can take more.

“More,” I croak out, the need so deep in my voice, and all Max does is smile.

“I’ll take care of you.” And he does. Two. More. Times.

We lie here, panting, neither one of us moving an inch. “That was the best sex-a-thon ever,” I manage between breaths. Max chuckles.

“Baby, we are just getting started.” He does not disappoint. His sexual stamina is off the damn charts. From this, I can totally tell he is not human because no man could keep coming and getting it back up in time to go again before the panting has even died down. Every human woman should get themselves a wolf. They would not be unsatisfied.

Over and over again, he takes me hard, rough, slow, sweet, and everywhere in between, but never hurting me in any way. A few times I grimace at some of his thrusts, and he immediately backs off a bit. He needed a subtle reminder that I am human after all. I don’t have super-strength. Even though I did keep up with him each time and for that I’m proud.

We sleep tangled in each other’s arms, my thirst quenched. For now.

Kenly

A ROUGH POUNDING on the door wakes me from the most restful sleep I think I’ve ever had in my life. My head lays on the broad chest of the man I screwed all night long. And I’m tired. Very, very tired.

“Make them go away,” I moan, patting his chest haphazardly.

“Let me up, babe.”

Reluctantly, I roll away from him and pull the blankets up to my neck. Not because I am afraid that our visitor will see me. That’s a given. No, it’s that without his body heat, I’m freaking freezing. He strides to the door, naked as the day he was born.
Hmm
, how are wolves when they’re born? Are they in human-form or wolf-form? Another question to ask. He swings it open to a very impatient doctor. I really should learn his name, but I’m pretty sure no one has told me that yet.

I sit up, feeling that whatever is going to come out of his mouth is important.

“What?” Max barks.

“Max, let the man in.” Rolling my eyes, I wave the doctor in. Manners, people. Max steps to the side and grabs a pair of sweat pants off the floor, then pulls them on. He sits next to me on the bed. “So?”

“Witch,” the doctor says. “You have witch magic.”

I go completely still, momentarily stunned. How in the world can I have supernatural blood inside of me? Yesterday when he said fairy or witch, I kind of laughed it off. But to know, to really
know
. Holy shit. “I have witch magic inside of me. Really?”

“It appears so. Kenly, do you know of any witches?”

I burst out laughing. Now this is a seriously laughable moment. I never saw a wolf change until all of this, let alone laid eyes on a witch. Do they exist, sure, but to know one? “No. No one I know is a witch.” I sober up when a look of confusion and intrigue slices across the doctor’s face.

“Interesting. No grandmothers, aunts, or cousins ever practiced wicca?”

What? “What is Wicca?”

“Witchcraft. See any potions or spells lying around? Anything out of the ordinary?” I think back on my life. I have distant cousins of my parents who I don’t see and know nothing about. I’m pretty positive that it’s not my parents. Then it hits me.

“Grams. I bet you anything it’s Grams. Something in my gut tells me it is and Lily said for me to always trust my gut.” Wow. Wouldn’t that be weird if that were true? My Grams, a witch? My little crackerjack box life keeps opening up lots of new doors and windows. Shit.

“Can you call her and get her here? She may be able to help with the transition,” the doctor pushes and I grab for Max’s hand, needing comfort, safety, something to ground me.

“I can call her. I don’t have a phone. My cell was in my purse…” My stomach plummets. Oh shit.

“What?” Max breaks my thoughts, reading my mind.

“My wallet, ID, money, cell, and the necklace were all in my purse. Did you by chance see it in the alley?” Hope diminishes when Max closes his eyes and rests his head back, looking up at the ceiling.

"If someone bad found it, I’m pretty sure wherever you lived has been picked clean. If someone good found it, then they are probably looking for you and that could be an issue.” He scrapes his hand down his face. “Anything else, doc?”

“No, but I’d like to speak with your Grams if you should happen to get ahold of her.” He leaves just as quickly as he came in.

“I’ll need to send some of the guys out to see if your apartment has been touched. If it hasn’t, what do you want them to bring back?”

“Bring back? Bring back
here
?” Max’s jaw tightens and ticks on the left side. He’s pissed. Shit.

“Yes, to bring here. If you don’t want it stolen, you should bring it here where it’s safe.” His teeth clenched, he grits out every word, and I’m at a loss.

“What did I do?” When Max’s eyes meet mine, it’s not fury I see. No, it’s pain. Deep, unrelenting pain and it clutches my heart like a noose, getting tighter and tighter.

“You don’t understand yet, but once you change you will.” The anguish is still pressing in. Lifting my hand, I cup his cheek, his head instantly falling into my touch.

“What do I need to understand, Max?” At my quiet words he pulls his head away.

“It’s irrelevant right now. Let’s get some breakfast.” He bounces off the bed and heads into the bathroom, shutting the door behind him. I grab my clothes, putting them on, but it’s nagging at me. I gotta know.

As soon as the door opens, I stand directly in front of him, blocking his path. “Tell me,” I demand, whether he likes it or not.

“Babe, the thought of you leaving here tears at my gut. Can’t do this right now, all right? Let’s go eat.”

I ache for him. I ache for me. What will I do if I make it through the change? There’s so much happening in a short amount of time. I’m overloaded and pretty soon I’m going to burst.

Sighing, I grab his hand and pull him to the door. “Let’s go.”

SITTING OUTSIDE ON A beautiful back deck, the wind lightly caressing my skin and the sun shining down, I feel relaxed on my own for a change. Sure all the ‘what ifs’ are there, but in this moment, I’m just here. Sitting in the cushioned seat of the wicker furniture, I gaze out at the vast space. Woods line the area, but there’s enough of a clearing for the sun to give me some vitamin D. Max went to meet with Xavier. He didn’t want to leave me, but he had to
discuss
some things.

I can feel Gary’s eyes on me directly through the sliding glass door. Max assigned him to me, lucky him. I have no intention of making any issues for him. I’m just enjoying the peace.

A gray bunny hops through the grass and my heart stops. “Bunny, don’t you know there are wolves here. You’d better get along before one comes out and eats you,” I tell him, not that he can hear me, but at least I tried.

“We only eat them when we’re in wolf-form.” Zara calls from the side of the house and my head whips in her direction. My heart beats as she makes her way to me. Why in the hell am I so nervous? Oh yeah, right. She’s a wolf who threatened to rip another wolf’s throat out. Even though Marissa’s a bitch, it’s still scary. But, I do like Zara. I need to get my nerves in check.

Zara approaches and sits in the wicker chair beside me. I just don’t know what to say. ‘So you’re a wolf, how’s that going for ya?’ I mean, come on. Zara chuckles and I have no idea why. I like the woman, don’t get me wrong, she’s been nice to me and the way she is with Natalie is wonderful. I’ve just never been one-on-one with her and it’s freaking me out.

“All right. Let’s get this out of the way. You don’t have to fear me. Marissa is a bitch and I’m just waiting for the right time to rip her throat out. As far as being a wolf, I didn’t have such a good time there for a while, but I bounced back. I love being a wolf and I love all of my pack here.”

My body freezes. Did she hear what I was thinking? Surely no. No one can hear your thoughts. Right?

“Yes, I can hear your thoughts. It is a power I possess,” she says so freely, so casually, while my head spins. She can hear my thoughts? Holy crap, what did I think that she heard?

No. “Holy shit. Really?” What else do you say to that? That is way super cool and freaky.

“Yep, really. It’s taken me a while to realize that it’s super cool and freaky.” Damn, how the hell am I supposed to think around this woman? She can read me like a book. Shit.

“I’m turning it off right now,” Zara says, looking out into the woods.

“You can do that? Turn it off and on?” That’s like superhero shit right there.

“Yes. It took me a bit to figure it out, but I’ve got it pretty well together now. Only some of the pack know of my ability.” Zara turns to me, grasping my attention. “I need to keep it that way.”

I say the only thing on my mind. “Why did you tell me?”
