Both sets of eyes grew wide in disbelief.  Paeton and Steve spoke simultaneously, “Well, if you didn’t do it, then who—?”

“It wasn’t me either,” Madison squirted out of the side of her mouth so she wouldn’t have to break her concentration.

Then they both laughed, shrugged, and tumbled lovingly into each other’s eyes. 

Zoom!  Ka-bam!  Pow!  Ding-ding-ding!  Ahhh!

Some mysteries of life are better left unsolved.
