He came in, stood behind her, and wrapped his arms around her waist. He kissed the top of her head, and their eyes met in the mirror. “Are you okay, Valerie?”

She snuggled back against him and fit her arms over his. “Perfect.”

He tasted her neck. “Hickey?” He sucked gently.

“I’ve never gotten one, but maybe someplace less noticeable?” She smiled at his surprise.

“I’ll be getting excited thinking of the perfect place.” He hardened against her backside.

She wiggled in his arms, and her butt teased his shaft.

“C’e l’hai un bel culo.”

“You have a nice tush, too.” She turned in his arms, ran her hands around his waist, and boldly put them on his bottom.

He did the same to her, pressing his erection into her belly.

“Let me please you, Antonio.”

His eyes darkened, filled with desire.

She slid to her knees and took him in her hands then smiled up at him. “Tell me what you like.”

Chapter Twenty

Valerie touched her lips to Antonio’s shaft, felt him shudder. Using her tongue, she tasted every inch, cupped his sack then licked there, too. When his body vibrated, she knew she was doing something right.

She took him in her mouth, twirling her tongue over the top, using her hands to simulate the motion of him making love to her. The pointers from the HBO oral sex special ran through her mind. She’d recorded it and watched it three times after meeting Antonio, hoping to use the technique on him.

She increased the suction, the motion, the speed. He was big, so her jaw got a workout. He tensed, and she used one hand to touch his sack. When her phone rang, she stopped for just a second.

“No, non smettere.”

She felt powerful, controlling this amazing man, having sexual command over him. Minutes later, sensing he was ready, she increased the speed. She heard him cry out, felt his hot semen shoot into her mouth, down her throat. It was incredible, hot, powerful. And so much.

She watched his face. Her gorgeous hunk, gritting his teeth with the pleasure, his body shaking. Looking down at her, he touched his hands to her head, softly caressing.

“That was incredible. It was perfect.”

She smiled then saw a drop on the tip and licked it off.

“Oh, God!” He pulled her up into his arms, ran his hands over her back. “You are poison.”

“You like poison?”

“I love it.” He stopped, looked at her face. Tension stiffened his body.

Did he say more than he meant to? Or, wait, did he love her…?

He changed the subject. “Shower?”

She nodded and started the water running in the glass shower.

He pulled her in with him, and they enjoyed exploring and touching, soaping, rinsing, kissing. When they stepped out, she put on her white spa robe and handed him a towel, which he wrapped around his hips.

She slowly appraised his body; his narrow hips in the snowy white terrycloth made his broad chest and shoulders seem more tanned by contrast. His hair had grown longer than when they first met, and it touched his shoulders. Beads of water ran down his skin.

He chuckled. “Are you still with me?”

She bit her lower lip, smiled wickedly. “I was just thinking how sexy you are.”

He strode over to her, his eyes full of promise. “Woman, you can have me all night. But I need sustenance. Feed me first then I’ll be your slave.”

“I’m going to hold you to that,
caro
.”

He put his arm around her shoulder, and they headed downstairs.

“I have some leftovers that I’ll heat up.”

“Mmmm.”

“It’s from a restaurant, not one of my crazy recipes.”

“Your recipes are fabulous. I’ve not ended up in the hospital once.”

She swatted his chest then noticed the bruise she gave him when she pinched him earlier.

“Antonio, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to pinch you that hard.” She rubbed the bruise.

He touched it with his finger. “It’s not too bad. Makeup should cover it…”

She laughed then saw the cornered look on his face. “What do you mean ‘makeup’?”

His eyes shifted around the room.

“Antonio?” Why did he need to cover it? What was he hiding? She put her hand on his chest. “Will you talk to me—”

“Feed me, woman.” He backed up a step. “Then you can interrogate me.”

His angry tone jolted her. She took a breath and let it go then walked across the kitchen. No use pressing the issue. She opened the fridge, took out a few glass bowls full of food. “Would you like something to drink?”

“Gin and tonic sounds good.” He padded up behind her. “How about you?”

“Sounds perfect. Would you, please?”

“Sure.”

“The tonic is in the fridge, on the door. The gin is in the freezer.”

“You’re organized.”

“Just picky. I like the taste of cold gin.”

He kissed her neck. “I like the taste of you.”

She smiled back at him. “You taste good, too.”

He groaned and pressed his erection into her bottom. “You make me horny.”

She jabbed her elbow gently into his stomach. “Food first, remember?”

He groaned in mock pain, holding his stomach. “You’re good at the rough stuff.”

“We’ll find out later.”

He laughed and opened the freezer to get the gin. “What the hell?” He held up a large Ziploc bag of fish fillets with the name
Troy
written on it in black marker.

“Oh. Um.” Was he upset? “I forgot about that.”

“So…” He held the bag out toward her, his eyes wide. “You didn’t actually break up with Troy, did you? You filleted him and put his remains in your freezer.”

“What?” She laughed so hard she snorted a couple times.

Laughing, he dug through the rest of her freezer. “Any others in here?” he teased. “All your ex-boyfriends?”

“Stop!” She laughed, holding her stomach.

“Is there a bag somewhere waiting for me?”

“Nope. I like you alive.” She caught her breath.

“Thanks, I think. I’d be too afraid to ever break up with you.”

“Good. The basis of a healthy relationship. Fear.” She spooned leftovers onto plates and microwaved them.

He sat at the counter and picked up a hand carved wooden figure of a chef she’d purchased in Italy. “You’ve got a lot of decorating stuff.”

She looked at him sideways. “And you have none at your place.”

“I’ll take that as an offer to help me decorate?”

She made a sour face. “Unfortunately, I have no taste whatsoever.”

“Your house is great.”

“Not my doing. Jules is my decorator. I’m sure she’d love to get a hold of your place. I’ll bring her over some day.”

He looked out the window. “I’ll think about it.”

She noticed how closed he quickly became. “Is something wrong?”

He looked around the kitchen.

She waited. Would he open up, let her in?

He looked at her. “The phone call that you missed earlier, when we were upstairs? I’m guessing it’s one of your dates.”

“Probably. Jules gave her friend my number.”

“Will you tell him you’re not interested?” His gaze seemed deadly serious.

“Yes. I plan to.”

“Jules’ cousin?”

“Him, too.”

“And the golf date?”

“I’ll cancel it tomorrow.” She walked over to him, touched his arm. “Antonio, when I said yes to you today, that was my commitment to you. I’m yours exclusively for as long as you can tolerate me.”

He stared at her, looking uncertain. Then a crooked smile curved his lips. “I have to warn you, I can endure a lot.”

Her breath caught. How wonderfully sweet. His way of telling her he was thinking long term, too. “I’m glad, because I’ve been hoping we could try some of this ‘rough stuff’ you’ve been talking about.”

“Baby. What you do to me.” He put his hands on each side of her face and dove in for a soul-searing kiss.

They ate, standing in the kitchen. Then he picked her up in his arms and carried her upstairs. She wrapped her arms around his neck and clung to him.

Valerie woke in Antonio’s arms, her leg casually thrown across his, her hand resting low on his stomach.

The sheet and most of the pillows had slid to the floor. He’d been surprised last night when she’d peeled back the tan bedspread to reveal red satin sheets and pillowcases. She’d had a few other surprises for him, too.

Through her window, she watched the sun poke up over the mountains on the other side of the valley. She yawned, stretched lightly so she didn’t wake him, and lifted her head to look at his face.

He smiled at her, his eyes half open. “Good morning.” His voice was gravelly.

She smiled. “Good morning. How long have you been awake?”

“Not long. I was watching you sleep. You are an angel.”

“Mmmm.” She snuggled closer and closed her eyes. “You called me a devil last night.”

“When you’re asleep, you’re an angel.”

She laughed. “Which do you prefer?” She moved her hand lower, felt his arousal.

“Right now…” He groaned and rolled to his side facing her. “I’d like a little bit of your bad side.”

She looked at his eyes, the fire behind them promising slow, steamy passion. Stroking him, she shivered with pleasure at the hot, silky skin tight over his rock-hard shaft. He would make her lose herself again.

“I can’t get enough of you.” He traced her breast with his fingertips. “I want you constantly.”

“Last night—it was amazing. I didn’t know we could be so…hungry.”

He laughed quietly. “It’s great, baby. We have chemistry.” He pulled her tight to him, rolled onto his back.

She knew what he wanted. Kissing him gently, she spread her legs, positioned her knees on each side of his hips, and sat up. He had showed her how to make love this way sometime around midnight. Now she wanted to prove what a good student she was.

She put her hands on his chest, lifted herself slowly, feeling his rod at her wet, swollen lips. “What do you want, Antonio?” She made her voice low and seductive.

“Take it, woman. Every inch.” His eyes burned like hot coals.

Under her hands, his body vibrated. She waited a second then dropped down onto him, crying out at the extreme pleasure of being completely filled by him. Her womb contracted. She rode him, slowly at first, but within minutes she circled her hips, the strokes faster, more urgent.

He touched her breasts softly, her hard peaks loving his attention. She covered his hands with hers, looked at his hooded eyes.

“Come for me, baby.” His voice was husky, rough with desire.

She arched her back and put her hands behind her on his knees.

He touched his thumb to her wet muff, found her clit, and rubbed.

“Now, Valerie.”

He tensed, on the edge. She rode him feverishly. Soft cries forced themselves from her throat. She exploded, heard him curse in Italian. Her mind flew, spinning, her body shaking fiercely. He drove into her, releasing with a moan. He grabbed her hips, held her down on him, burying himself in her as the orgasm continued.

She collapsed onto his chest. “Antonio. I’m breathless.”

He kissed the top of her head, pulled her hair from her face, slowly traced her shoulder, her arm. After a few minutes he said, “Stay home today.”

She sighed. Why did reality have to intrude? She kissed him then rolled off and picked up her cell phone from the nightstand. Her calendar was full. “I have a busy day today.”

He got up to use the bathroom. She had the name of her first patient on her screen when he landed on the mattress right behind her.

“Oh, jeez.” He repeated the name of her patient. “I didn’t mean to see that.”

She set down her phone and rolled to face him. “That’s okay. I trust you.”

He kissed the tip of her nose. “That means a lot to me.”

“And to me. It’s really surprising. I’ve never felt this kind of trust before.”

“That’s a big responsibility.”

She reached down, touched his rod. “You’re a big man.”

“Tease.”

“Horny bastard.”

“Speaking of horny bastards, your first appointment this morning? Is he coming all the way from Europe to see you?”

“You know I can’t discuss it with you.” She rolled away, but he caught her and pulled her back.

“Do any of these guys come on to you?”

Was he jealous or just concerned for her safety? “Sometimes. But I’ve learned how to handle it.”

“Is that why you need security at your office?”

“No, I’ve never called the guard in. But once in a while a fan will follow a celebrity to the office and will have to be ejected.”

“You lead a fascinating life.” He traced the shell of her ear with his finger, sending a delightful tingle through her.

She smiled, snuggled up to him, and kissed his chin. “My life was terribly dull until I met you. Last night and this morning—seriously—I’m addicted to you. I hope you’re okay with that.”

“I like the sound of it. How late do you have to work?”

“I’m at the runaway shelter until seven thirty, so I should be home by eight. It’s Thursday though, aren’t you writing?”

He hesitated then puffed out a breath. “Yes.”

“That’s all right.” She touched his face. “I know how important it is to you. It’s just that…” She put her hand on his tight bottom. “…now that you’ve given me this, I’m going to be needing it a lot.”

“I’ll see what I can do about rearranging my schedule.”

“No pressure. I can wait until Sunday, if I have to.”

He smacked her bottom. “Take your shower. I’ll fix breakfast.”

She walked downstairs dressed in a dark business suit, her hair wet. She smelled bacon and spotted him cooking at the stove. He wore jeans and nothing else. He looked so sexy with his tight ass, narrow hips, broad shoulders, and incredibly muscled back. His hair brushed his shoulders as he moved, his arm muscles flexing. She couldn’t help but stare.

“See something you like?” He asked the question without turning around.

She laughed. “Guilty. I like everything I see.” She went to him, running her hands over his muscled back. “I wish I could stay home. But I want you to stay as long as you’d like.”

He turned and pulled her into his arms. “I can go through all your drawers?” He smiled.
