Jaynee licked her lips. There was nothing to do for now. For now, she would sit here and listen to what Dare had to say. Then, when his guard was down, she would find a way to escape. Dare lifted his hand and cupped her chin. “You will not escape me, Jaynee. The only way to escape me now, is death. I will always know where you are. I will always be able to find you. No matter how far or how fast you run, you will never be able to hide from me.”

Tears pooled in her eyes as the engines whirred and the transport left the ground, taking them to the
Savari
vessel orbiting her planet, taking her away from everything she ever knew and loved. She cast her gaze to her lap. Her heart breaking, she twisted her fingers together, and sobbed.

“Oh, my Lady Goddess, how could you

abandon me so?”

should not hurt. Should not cry. Unable to stop himself, he took the seat on the other side of her, effectively boxing her in between them. He knew she’d try to escape. He’d do the same in her situation and because of that, he and Dare needed to come up with a plan to subdue her. They needed her. He couldn’t allow her to escape them. She had to know, to understand, that she belonged to them, as they belonged to her. And he knew just how to do it.

Unable to sit near her without touching her smooth skin, Lucan reached over and wrapped his hand around hers. Using the pad of his thumb, he gently rubbed circles against her clenched fist, doing his best to offer what little comfort he could. She tensed beneath his hand, tried to move away but seated between them as she was, she couldn’t escape his touch. He vowed before this night ended and a new dawn approached, she would welcome their touch, would beg for it. For that, he’d need Dare to work a miracle before they reached his ship.

Tell me you have a pleasure chamber aboard your
ship, Dare.

Dare lifted his eyebrows. His eyes glittered and a wry smile spread across his face. Lucan caught a glimpse of fang and knew his triad partner understood exactly what he planned for their mate.
