“Hey Logan, who’s the cutie?” Avery, one of the big guys in their pack asked him. He came closer wanting to shake her hand but his wolf growled. Avery turned and smirked at him. “I see you finally found your mate.”

“Hi, my name’s Serenity.” she reached out to shake his hand but Logan pulled her back. There was no way he was letting any other guy touch her. His wolf was feeling over protective.

Serenity turned and glared at him. “What did I tell you about my rules?”

Logan smiled sheepishly at her. “I’ve never had a girlfriend before.” He didn’t know why he said that, and hated when he blushed.

“Oh my goodness, me either. Had a boyfriend that is.  I could never find that one person that made me tingle.” She smiled at him.

“Any way, my name is Avery and I’ll talk to you later after you guys stop making goo-goo eyes at each other.” Avery said once he saw they were ignoring him.  She blushed and turned to Avery and smiled. Every time they walked a couple of feet, someone new came to introduce themselves.  He realized that it was mostly guys so it was irritating.

Later that night the guys met at Serenity’s house. Her poor dad was not happy that his little girl was going out with Logan              again. “Are you ready to go?” Logan asked when she opened the door.  He leaned over and gave her a kiss on the cheek. 

“Can we kiss her too?” Kevin asked and Logan elbowed him on the ribs.

That made Serenity laugh. “I told my parents we were leaving and they told me to be careful.”  They didn’t need to know what her father really said.  It amused her to see how worked up he got when Logan’s name was mentioned.  Serenity went to the bush her mother told her would be hers for shifting. She looked around before stripping. That part was going to require some getting used to. After taking a deep breath, Serenity called her wolf for assistance in shifting.

The pain was bad but not as it had been the first time. Without a care in the world Serenity strolled into the clearing. “Holy shit, we heard her fur was white. She looks gorgeous.” Rene mind linked to them. She was glad they couldn’t see her blush.

Logan stepped up looking none too pleased with his friends and started giving orders. “Rene, you take the south. Kevin you take the north. Ricky you take the east. Serenity and I will take the west.”

Before they headed out she received a mind link from Kevin. “Serenity can you hear me?” She nodded her yes and could feel that he had blocked all the others from the conversation. “Just wanted to give you a heads up. You may see Logan as goofy and cocky during the day.  When we patrol, he is all business.  I don’t want you to feel hurt if he doesn’t play around with you.” She thanked him and felt nice that he would worry enough to tell her.

Serenity followed Logan into the woods and he mind linked her to keep close and to try to keep up.  She was told to keep an eye out for different scents. Members not in the pack apparently had a different scent. He turned his head to look at her. “You’re so new to our pack you might not be able to tell the difference. Your wolf can sense danger, trust her if she tells you to run.”

She agreed with his orders. Then her wolf started to swoon. “Our m
ate is so strong and a great leader.”

They ran for what seemed like hours.  At one point, they detected a scent that wasn’t normal. Logan called his friends and gave them their location. The moment they arrived, the first thing they did was flank them. She ended up in the middle. It was then that she saw that they were surrounded by five wolves that were a dirty sandy color.

“Serenity, stay out of the way if they attack,” Logan ordered.  She started to get angry and was ready to yell at him when her wolf yelled.
“Pay attention to our mate. We need to stay back.”

Their eyes widened when they saw her. A fight never happened, they turned tail and ran. It was all so strange to her. It took her off guard when the guys took off after them. “Serenity, keep up with me.  I can’t risk you going back alone.” Logan told her as he too preceded to chase.

“Guys, we can’t let them leave here alive. They’ve seen her.”  They upped the speed. Her muscles were straining and her heart was pounding.  Why would it matter if they saw her?

“We are special, we have magic. Strong magic and will only get stronger when we mate.”
Her wolf explained.

“What do you mean we have magic? What can we do?” She was lost in the conversation and missed the wolf that charged her. The impact to her ribs made her go down. Rene lunged at the wolf before Logan had a chance to reach him and they started to fight.  Serenity finally shook off the shock and stood up in time to see another wolf fly through the air aiming for Logan’s back.

“Must protect mate.” Her wolf
howled just before it took over her body.  She lunged in the air and caught the intruding wolf by the throat.  “Oh my God, I can’t believe you’re doing this!”  It was like watching a movie play out. It felt surreal. Damn, we’re strong! She felt the energy coursing through their body.

Logan noticed and lunged too. He hit the wolf in the ribs. Poor wolf didn’t stand a chance against them.  A growl made her turn. Rick was fighting one wolf and Kevin another.  Something was off. How many were there? One, two, three, four. Wait, there was one more out there.

Ricky finishes of his wolf and they turn to see Kevin who was holding the one he was fighting by the neck.

“Don’t kill him” Logan ordered as he shifted back into human form. Serenity averted her eyes quickly.  Holy crap, he was naked! “Shift” he ordered the other wolf and Kevin loosened his grip enough for the wolf to shift. “Where is the other wolf?” Logan asked.

The guy smirked. “He’s long gone. We were just a distraction so he could escape.” Logan punched him in the face. “Go ahead and kill me, because he’s on his way to tell them we saw the white wolf.  And if legends are true, my pack will be here to take her and we will soon be the strongest pack.”

“We, is too many people.” Kevin said before snapping the guy’s neck.

“What does he mean?” She asked Logan.

“Don’t worry; no one will take you away from me.  You’re mine, my mate.” She couldn’t see his face because he was still in the buff. When she felt his hand start to rub and scratch her head and the back of her ears. Serenity knew she should feel offended that he was petting her like a dog. Yet her wolf was so happy, it was purring with joy. She was such a hussy.

Logan shifted back into his wolf. She didn’t expect the lick to her mouth. Nor did she expect the sparks running through her body.  Her eyes met his not before taking a step back. Through all this her wolf was crying out.
“Yes, our mate kissed me.”

Chapter 5

Logan had kissed Serenity without even thinking. Now his wolf was screaming for permission to mount her. Those sparks the kiss had created didn’t help in any way. He was hard and close to bursting. Yet he tried to control himself, until the air became saturated with her arousal.

“Guess this is our cue to say goodnight.” Kevin said before they took off.

The musky scent was wreaking havoc on his senses. He was engulfed in flames as an all-consuming need to take her swept through his body. This is what it’s supposed to feel when you meet your mate.  You get hit by a need so primal that many don’t resist it. Logan wasn’t even sure how he’d been able to hold back this long.

Crap, he had kissed her. The mating sequence didn’t start until an exchange of bodily fluids. When he kissed her, he had made contact with the moist entrance of her mouth. Strength, what was needed now was strength to resist. Yet how can a man resist such a woman.

His mate was perfect. It nearly killed him when she descended the stairs earlier. The top she wore had displayed her assets nicely. All he had wanted to do was kiss every inch of her skin. Without realizing it, Logan had been sucked once more into one of the mind dreams.

How was it possible? He asked himself while nuzzling her neck. “Sweet, so sweet.” He voiced before opening his mouth and sucking her delicate skin in. Her whimper, confirmed his suspicions that she too felt all that took place in his mind. More, he wanted more. Surely she would stop him if he overstepped, right?

Without a second thought Logan placed several kisses that led from her neck to the valley between her breasts.  It became too much and Logan opened his eyes. There was no way he would take her here. He smiled when he noticed the confused look on her face.

Naughty boy, Serenity’s wolf thought.  It seems their mate had discovered that they can show each other images and feel each other as if they were really touching.  They can feel a kiss, a caress, and every other emotion.  At this moment he was as turned on as they were. The wolf opted not to tell Serenity, because all she was going to do is say no. Not to mention that she would definitely get mad at their mate for doing this. Yet the wolf wanted to finally get mounted.

In that moment, Serenity’s wolf decided it was not time to reveal that they can also control what other people feel.  That was part of the magic they had before mating, along with strength. In all honesty, they were stronger than Logan. The wolf wanted so badly to finish what had been started today. Yet Serenity still needed to learn so much more before she was ready to let her have what she wanted.  With a sigh, her wolf retreated and let Serenity return.

The moment Serenity returned to her body, she was swamped with the most intense sexual feelings. Her body was aroused to a point she had never felt before.

”Serenity, are you ok?” Logan asked in worry.

“Yes, I’m sorry. My wolf had taken over for a minute.”  Realization hit. His mate wasn’t the one giving him signs. It had been her wolf.

My mate, I want my mate.” Logan’s
wolf cried out

Down boy, it looks like we might not get completion tonight.” He tried to sooth his wolf. With a sigh, Logan led them back to the pack house. He was sure his friends would be there. Especially after all the excitement.

Serenity followed him as he led her to the place where his mother always kept extra clothes for him.  After shifting, he handed her a shirt and she went to shift. Once again, he was in awe at how good she looked in his shirts.  When they walked in, the house was empty. After looking around they spotted the note.

Logan,

We talked to the Alpha. He said we would talk in the morning.

We cleared out and set things up for you so get our girl.  We like her.

She was bad ass today, make sure you do things right,

We want to keep her.

PS. We called her dad so he’s not expecting her back tonight.           

Wow, this was the nicest thing those lug heads had ever done for him! “Well, it looks like it’s just you and me tonight.” She blushed so sweetly. “Do you want anything to drink?”

“No, but I do want some panties.” The words were followed by more blushing.  Logan couldn’t help himself and leaned in to take her lips in a light kiss. Serenity closed her eyes and leaned in. He then wrapped her in his arms while bringing her flush against him. “So soft and womanly.” He whispered while nuzzling her neck.

The moment he felt her legs wobble Logan pulled back. With a meaningful sigh, he led her to the couch.  “I promised no pressure. Now let’s talk. I want to hear about your life before coming here.”

They talked all night and before long he was able to understand why she was so cautious. He was sure she now saw him in a different light to. He just acted goofy, but he took his job very seriously. One day, when his father would exist no more. He will be Alpha. Their people needed a strong man, just as strong as his father is.

When they both became sleepy. Logan carried Serenity to the room he when here. Once again his wolf demanded they claim her. Yet he knew better, Logan wanted to earn her trust. That would not happen if they took advantage of the situation.
