My heart began to beat wildly in my chest at her response. “Does that mean what I think it means? Because I need you to actually say the words.”

“No, I don’t really think you will change your mind about being my mate and leave me. You love me,” she finally admitted.

“And?” I bit out.

“I want to be yours forever, too,” she sighed. “Mark me.”

“Finally,” I groaned before bending down and shoving my face in her pussy. Then I licked each of her lips, tasting the wetness that had been for me. She jerked when I flicked my tongue over her clit, and I moved farther down to plunge it inside her pussy.

Eliza was panting beneath me, squirming against the cuffs. I held her hips in place and fucked her with my tongue until I felt the fluttering of her walls that signaled how close she was to an orgasm. I pulled away and waited until she settled a little and then gently blew against her damp skin.

“Spencer, please. I need to come,” she begged.

“Not yet,” I told her before thrusting two fingers inside her drenched pussy.

Swirling them around, I twisted my hand until I was touching that spongy spot deep inside her. Then I slowly rubbed until she was soaking my hand before pulling away again. Reaching into my pocket, I found the cock ring I’d brought with me to help in my torture of her. When I turned the motor on, Eliza stilled and looked up at me with shocked eyes.

“What are you going to do with that?” she gasped.

“I’m gonna make sure you know you’re mine,” I growled. “By the time I’m done, you’ll have no doubts remaining about how much I want you. How much I need you. And love you.”

“Spencer,” she sighed, “I already know that.”

“Maybe that’s true,” I agreed. “But I need this. And my wolf needs it even more. Tonight, I’m going to possess you like I’ve never done before, dominate you, and then I’m going to mark you. Come morning, you’ll feel my devotion to the depth of your soul. You’ll never need to hold yourself away from me. If that’s not what you want, you need to tell me now. Last chance. Do you want to be mine?”

The sensual haze cleared from her eyes before she answered, and I could see her wolf gazing at me as she spoke. “Yes! More than anything in this world, I want to be your mate. Do it!”

A howl of triumph crept up my throat and broke free. After tonight, Eliza really would be mine. She’d carry my mark, leaving all other wolves with no doubt that she was my mate.

I slid the cock ring over two fingers before moving my hand back to her pussy. Centering the vibrating ring over her clit, I cupped her mound with my palm and waited. Her hips pulsed against me as liquid heat gushed from her body.

“Please,” she begged, pulling on the cuffs and writhing with need.

“Not until you can’t think of anything but me,” I growled. “I want to be the only thing in your mind. The only thing you can see while you feel my body wrapped around yours, filling you as deep as I can go. Only then will I let you come. Right before I sink my teeth into your shoulder and leave my mark there for everyone to see.”

“Don’t you get it yet, Spencer? You are the only thing I’ve been able to see ever since I arrived in Wolf’s Point. My days and nights have been filled with thoughts of you. Yours is the only face I want to see before I fall asleep and the only thing I want to see when I open my eyes in the morning. It’s you for me. It’s always been you. So take me now and make it official. Mark me.”

The utter acceptance in her words sent the blood roaring like fire through my veins. The urge to mate, the need to dominate her as we fucked, became impossible to ignore. I pulled away from her body and stood so I could slide my pants down my legs, my boxer briefs along with them. After yanking the vibrating ring from my hand, I slid it over my cock and hardened even more. Then I crawled between her legs and reached under her body so I could grab her butt cheeks for leverage.

“Tell me again,” I urged. “Who do you belong to?”

“You,” she whispered back.

“Louder!” I yelled as I lifted her higher, her body arching as I slapped her ass.

“You!” she yelled. “I belong to you. Only you!”

“That’s right, my dream girl. It’s about damn time you realized it, too.”

I entered her with one swift thrust of my hips, filling her as much as I could at this angle. She screamed my name as I pounded into her with all the desperation I’d been feeling since I’d mated her. The cock ring bumped against her clit each time I rammed home, and I swiveled my hips to make sure the vibrations rolled through her body. When the tingling began in the base of my spine, I quickened my pace, determined to force her over the edge before I allowed myself the orgasm I needed so much.

Eliza trembled beneath me, her walls starting to clench more tightly against me with each punishing thrust. I knew she was getting closer and closer to coming for me.

“Are you ready to be mine forever?” I growled, my teeth lengthening in preparation of the bite I’d been waiting to give her ever since I’d spoken the mating words so many months before.

“Yes,” she hissed, a brief flash of clarity sweeping across her lust-filled eyes as she gazed up at me.

As I released my hold on her body, she sank into the bed. Then I gave one final thrust before bending her head to the side and biting into her shoulder, right where it met her neck. Light burst behind my eyes as my climax hit me. Her body spasmed under mine, her eyes rolling back into her head while her pussy squeezed me. I jerked my hips in short, hard jabs as I fucked her through both of our orgasms.

My arms gave out and I dropped down onto Eliza’s panting, sweat-slickened body. Not wanting to crush her, I flipped onto my side as my chest heaved while I tried to regain my breath.

When she moved her arms, I heard the cuffs knock against the bedposts and was reminded that they were there. Once I could breathe again, I released her wrists and then her ankles. Rolling onto her side, she locked her gaze with mine, and I saw the same contentment I felt in my heart there in her eyes.

We were finally mated and marked—only the claiming lay between us and forever.

Chapter 6

Eliza

I’d heard stories growing up about that moment when you accept your mate’s mark—all she-wolves did. My mom hadn’t gone into too many details because of the level of intimacy involved—no one wanted to hear those types of things about their own parents. But nothing I had ever been told compared to what had just happened between Spencer and me. There was a moment of pain and then the pleasure was so overwhelming that I almost couldn’t stand it.

Waves of mind-numbing bliss racked my body as an orgasm stronger than any I’d ever experienced before crashed down upon me. The moment when Spencer’s cock was buried deep inside my pussy while his teeth were under my flesh was one I would never forget for the rest of my life. It was the first time my heart had felt full of love and acceptance. The first time my wolf and human sides had felt like they were in utter harmony.

When Spencer’s mark formed on my shoulder, the bond between us, which had begun when he’d whispered the mating words to me six months ago, finally developed on my side too, like a bridge that connected our two souls, entwining us together and preparing us for the claiming. For that moment when our wolves would be bonded together as well, leaving nothing in this world that could ever separate us as mates.

While lying in Spencer’s arms after he released me from the cuffs, I was equally as exhausted as I was elated. Closing my eyes, I let my head rest against his shoulder while I enjoyed the peacefulness between us. Then I opened my senses, tentatively reached out across our connection, and felt his joy at having marked me. His pride over my accepting to be his mate. All the fear that came before was wiped away as though it had never existed. I no longer had any doubts about Spencer’s love for me.

“Thank you,” I whispered.

“For what, dream girl?” he murmured before gently kissing the top of my head.

“For being so patient with me. For letting me come to terms with my dreams and waiting until I was ready to fully become yours. Now that I feel it—our bond—I don’t know how you were able to hold off for so long.”

“It’s different now that I’ve marked you. Stronger in so many ways,” he explained. “What I felt when I mated you was incredible, but it pales in comparison to the connection we have now.”

I leaned back so I could look up into his eyes. “So you’re saying it was easy?”

“Not at all,” he disagreed. “I’m saying you were worth it.”

“God, I love you.”

“And I fucking love hearing you say that,” he replied, tightening his arms around me while he rested his head on the pillows.

This new closeness between us was something I had never really had in my life before. I had been close to my parents, but there had always been a lingering resentment towards my mom for insisting I keep a part of myself hidden from my dad. And I felt like, even though my dad and I loved each other very much, he didn’t really know me. But Spencer knew everything about me and still loved me—and now, he’d mated with me.

“I promise to tell you every day then,” I swore as my eyes closed.

The events of the past few days, my lack of sleep, and the rush of adrenaline that was leaving my system combined to make me incredibly tired all of a sudden. I felt Spencer’s fingers sifting through my hair as I drifted off, looking forward to sleeping in late and hopefully not waking up to another nightmare anytime soon.

Sadly, my hope didn’t come to fruition, because I began dreaming of Spencer after only a few hours of sleep, but there were slight differences this time around. When it started, I was remembering things that had already come before. The night he’d mated me. Describing to him my dreams about him turning away from me. Staring across the aisle and into his eyes during Grace and Hunter’s wedding last night. The euphoric feeling I’d had the moment his teeth had sunk into my shoulder and he’d marked me as his mate.

All my happiest moments with Spencer flashed before my eyes. I felt disconnected from the dream this time in a way I had never felt before during a vision. It was like nothing here could harm me, but it still hurt when I saw the anger on Spencer’s face.

“Mate?” he spat out. “You must be delusional if you think my fucking you means you’re my mate.”

I didn’t feel the same despair as I watched Spencer speak. The look of anger wasn’t as frightening, and his words didn’t hurt like barbs as they had every other time I’d had the dream. There were still tears on my face when I awoke, but I wasn’t sure if they were from relief because I wasn’t affected the same way by it or pain because the dream still hadn’t gone away even though Spencer had marked me.

“Same dream?” Spencer asked me huskily, rubbing my back in comfort.

“Yes and no,” I whispered. “The same things happened, but my feelings were different.”

His eyes held sadness as he looked at me. “I thought once I marked you, they would go away.”

“Me, too,” I admitted.

Then his head dropped to his chest as he groaned, so I rushed to offer him some reassurance.

“But look at me, Spencer. Do I really seem upset to you?”

As Spencer stared into my eyes, I knew he wouldn’t find any signs of agitation. A smile spread across his face as his eyes shone with happiness.

“Don’t get me wrong,” he started, “I’m happy as fuck to see that the dream isn’t bothering you. Ever since you told me about them, all I’ve ever wanted is for them to go away or for you to accept that there’s no way they will ever come true. And now, you’re sitting in front of me, looking perfectly fine after having had one of them again and I know I should be jumping for fucking joy here. But all I can think is
why
?”

Before answering him, I had to stop and consider the situation. It hadn’t been that long ago when I’d last had the same exact dream. The only thing that had really changed was that I’d had a conversation with Grace and Spencer had marked me. Those two things combined had given me a different perspective on the dream—a perspective that, I was relieved to know, was so deeply ingrained that the dream had even lost its power over me while I was sleeping.

I struggled to find the right words to make Spencer understand what I was feeling. And then they came to me.

“There are times in our lives when we don’t listen to our hearts. We do what we know in our minds to be true,” I began. “In those moments, we lose sight of who we are and we betray ourselves. Questioning your love, your devotion, was one of those times for me.”

Spencer’s arms tightened around me until I almost couldn’t breathe, and it let me know how deeply what I’d said had moved him.

“If you ever have one of those moments again, you just come to me and I’ll make sure you never lose sight of how much I love you.”

“I know you will,” I sighed. “Thank you.”

“No thanks necessary, dream girl. That’s my job now as your mate.”

“Oh, so, being my mate is a job?” I asked teasingly.

“You know I didn’t mean it like that,” he growled. “And don’t try to change the subject. Your dreams are important to me. To the pack. I want you to know you can always come to me about them even if it’s difficult for us to talk about—even if you keep having the ones about me—because I never want you to suffer through them by yourself. Not when I’m here to stand between you and the rest of the world.”

I couldn’t help but smile at the arrogance in his voice. Spencer was built to be a warrior, and years of having been the pack enforcer had given him an insane amount of confidence in his abilities.

“You can’t protect me from my dreams,” I said, softening my tone so I wouldn’t offend him as I reminded him that there was one realm where he couldn’t stand between me and the world. I was alone when I walked in my dreams. That’s the way it had always been and the way it always would be.

“Maybe not while you’re having them, but I can help you figure them out when you wake up and comfort you when they’ve upset you.”

“There isn’t usually a lot to figure out. I guess, with the dream tonight, the only thing I don’t know is why is hasn’t gone away. We’re already mated. The full moon is drawing near, and then, you’ll claim me in front of our pack. It can’t be a premonition of our future, and I don’t think I’m still having it because I’m worried about it coming true,” I explained.
