Not the way you mean. It’s different on our world, much different. We don’t let emotions get in the way. Emotion causes violence, war, etc., and we take a pill to avoid such problems. That way we can always be logical with our decisions. When conditions are right we drink a love potion. Then we feel the same sensations over creating a child as you, without the messiness.”

But I know you have emotions. I’ve seen and experienced your feelings. How do you explain that?”

Since, I’ve been on Earth I haven’t taken the pill.”  He smiled. “I wanted to experience everything first-hand on Earth and blend in with your people.”

I’m here to tell you that your people are missing out on something special.”  She blushed to the roots of her blonde hair, but he needed to know the truth. Not that she had been with that many men but the idea of never touching another person, never making love was almost too much for her to understand. “Sex is a beautiful thing with someone you love.”

He gazed into her eyes
. All she wanted to do was kiss him.
Was he reading her mind? I dare you.
She didn’t have to be psychic to know what he was thinking. She leaned into the haunting call of his lips and tasted the flavor of chicken noodle soup. She moved closer, putting her body close to his. No matter what else was happening, she wanted him. Wanted to touch every part of his body and make him feel things that he hadn’t experienced on Mars. She wanted him to know what it was like to have her make love to him. Stranded in this foreign place, she mingled her lips and tongue with his, kissing without urgency. She was lost to the moment. Together they would make the most of this dreadful planet.

Chapter Fifteen

“Let me show you how we do it on Earth.”  Throwing her insecurities to the side, Elle moved over to the sleeping pad. “Get in here with me,” she ordered.

He slipped into the sleeping pad and held her close.

She snuggled into the warmth of Kole’s strong arms and looked into his eyes and wanted to lose herself in the sensation forever.

He leaned his head down and kissed her on the mouth
. “Will you get with child?”

No, there’s nothing to worry about. I’m on the pill.”  He deepened the kiss and took charge. Lifting his head, he nibbled on her ear. “Well, in that case, you belong to me for the pleasure and I to you. Do as you will.”

Knowing this was all new for him, she felt kind of wicked for initiating him in the process of lovemaking, but it was oh-so good
. She had never felt so wanton as she brushed her hands down his chest and played with the buttons removing his shirt. She wanted to be skin to skin.

His large hand took her face and held it gently
. “There’s no rush, little one.”  A brief shiver of awareness rippled through her. He was right. His closeness was so male, so bracing. His broad shoulders and strong arms made her feel safe and protected against anything that was to come. She was drugged by his clean and manly scent. Her heart was thundering in her chest, hammering foolishly. She felt her pulse beat in her throat. They literally shared an intense mental and physical awareness of each other as he rubbed his hand up and down her spine underneath her shirt. He pulled it over her head and played with the lace on her purple bra.

It’s beautiful, like you. Your skin is so soft.”  He eased the lacy cup of the bra aside and feasted on her with his eyes. His hands explored the soft lines of her waist, her hips, her back and shoulders. Tentatively, he undressed her slowly, worshipfully. The shapely beauty of her naked body taunted him. In wonder, his hand lightly touched her hardening nipples.

Currents of desire shot through her from his gentle massage
. The thrill of frightened anticipation touched her spine, her heart hammered against her ribs. A hot ache grew in her lower regions while he implored her with his eyes. With one hand on the small of her back, his other arm encircled her. She was thoroughly enjoying Kole. Her skin tingled everywhere he touched her. The mere touch of his fingertips sent a warming shiver through her. She couldn’t take much more of this.

Softly his voice fanned her face
. “We have to stop.”  His lips seared a kiss down her neck. “I’m sorry, I should have known better.”

What?”  With a burning desire and aching need for more of his kisses, she couldn’t have heard him right.

We’re going to have company and soon.”  He pushed away from her. “We’ll finish this another time when we won’t be disturbed.”  He left her side.

When he abruptly slid out of the sleeping pad, her senses reeled and spun as if short
circuited. The cold air chilled her skin. “What’s wrong?” she asked. When he moved away her heart became heavy. An emptiness filled her chest and her limbs felt as if bags of wet sand had been attached to them.

Here, get dressed and quickly.”  He tossed her blouse toward her. “My father is almost here,” he croaked.

Your father
?
She snapped out of her trance and buttoned her shirt. Then she climbed out of the sleeping pad and tugged on her jeans. “Your father? How can that be?”  Her body ached with frustration as she pulled her clothes into place.

He’s here.”  A golden aura filled the cavern. Elle watched in wonder as Kole reached for and held her hand.

An image shimmered and solidified before them
. Two tall golden beings stood beside an older more distinguished human version of Kole.

Son, you are unharmed. I am thankful.”  His magnetic blue eyes filled with the wisdom of the ages as he took in their rumpled appearance.

Kole bowed to him
. “Yes, your Highness, we survived the crash landing.”

Elle blushed to the roots of her blonde hair, knowing without her psychic power, that he knew exactly what they had been doing just moments ago.

“Starseed of the Ancient One, I am honored to meet you.”  He held his hand out to her and glanced toward Kole. “Son, it’s time to leave this place.”  He waved his arm around the cavern and reached for her hand.

She was afraid, but there was incredible kindness shimmering in his wise blue gaze so she put her hand in his
.

Come with me. You will sleep now.”

An inner peace filled her at the touch of his hand against her fingers
. “You need your rest on the journey,” he said.

I don’t want to sleep. What journey?”

Kole whispered in her mind that everything was going to be all right
. As he held her other hand, she could feel her bones melt into nothingness.

* * *

A short time later Elle found herself standing in the highly polished marble entryway of a white palace by the sea, renewed and refreshed, dressed in a long flowing white gown with golden threads running through it. She touched the silky material with her fingers to see if she was really awake.
Where am I? What happened to me?

She glanced up to see that Kole stood next to her wearing some kind of skin-tight black uniform with a golden five-pointed star on his belt
. It looked military. It also reminded her of the first time she had seen him on the starship. Three glowing yellow moons hung in the flawless night sky behind him. The salty sea breeze tickled her skin as Kole reached for her hand. She sighed deeply, realizing her vision had come to pass. Together, they stood in the moon-lit doorway.

How could this be
? They had just been in the cave with the Ant People and about to make love. And now here she was beside Kole on yet, another planet.
Things sure happen fast when I travel with aliens.
They stood outside two twelve foot mahogany doors with mysterious carvings.
They must grow them big on this planet.

A glittering city of light lay far below with towering spheres, triangle shaped buildings and small hovercraft type vehicles soaring through the night sky
. A feeling deep in her gut, her sixth sense, or whatever you wanted to call it, told her once she went through those doors her life as she had known it would be forever changed. Was she ready for that?

She had helped Kole find hidden treasures of the universe in the caves, traveled through the stars and experienced advanced space travel and now this
. Her life had lead up to this moment.

Elle, you are the Chosen One.”  Kole squeezed her hand. “It is time to face your destiny.”

The Chosen One?”  She frowned.
Chosen for what?
“What does that mean?”

Many things.”  He smiled. “You will soon know all there is to know.”

Who or what is in there?”  Her heart beat rapidly with anticipation of what was beyond that door.

Only my father. These are his chambers. Please address him as Your Highness. He is our king.

She stared at Kole
. “Does this mean that you’re a prince?”

Yes.”  He smiled. “Come with me.”

She stood tall, facing the adventure unafraid, alongside her very own prince
. Now that was almost too funny for words. Who would’ve thought she, the small-town hairstylist would be on another world with a prince. If only Liz could see her now. Yet, here she was and it was true, she wasn’t frightened. Underneath everything, she knew she was safe, no harm would come to her. She held his hand and followed him through the doorway and into the sparkling palace anxious to find out what this all meant.

Welcome, my child.”  Kole’s father turned from his task and held out both his arms to her once again. “Come in and make yourself comfortable.”

She hesitated, not wanting to be put to sleep again
. Everything was confusing, but no matter what events might occur, when it came down to it, she trusted Kole with her heart and her life. Her psychic abilities told her he was going to be in her life for a long time to come. Together, they would accomplish many things.

The king grinned as she walked toward him
. “I mean you no harm. The sleep treatment was only for travel. We have much to discuss.”

He knows what I’m thinking
. He has telepathic powers. That’s where Kole gets it
.
And probably everyone on this
planet has it.
“Your Highness, I am honored to be here.”  Knowing where she stood, she relaxed and admired the opulent surroundings. Where they were standing appeared to be some sort of conference room with overstuffed furniture in vibrant colors. Huge vats of glowing rocks warmed the large space.

Please make yourself comfortable.”  He guided her to one of the overstuffed chairs in the middle of the abundant assortment.

Thank you.”  She met his gaze head on. “I want to know what all this has to do with me.”  She sat straight and leaned forward. “I’ve waited all my life to gain your knowledge.”

Well, well, you have spunk and spirit.”  He smiled. “I like that about you, Starseed.”

Kole had sat down beside her
. “There’s nothing to be frightened of.”  He squeezed her hand and gave her reassurance which she desperately needed.

She took one look at Kole and knew this was part of her destiny
. “I’m not afraid. I will embrace whatever you have to tell me.”  Whatever happened, she would be ready for it. And her sixth sense told her Kole would be by her side. She glanced between Kole and the king and held her breath waiting for what would happen next.

Okay, then we’ll proceed,” the king said. “We will share a story so then you will understand why you are the Chosen One.”  He glanced toward an open doorway. “Ah, here are our items for the ceremony.”

A gorgeous, dark-haired woman with beautiful blue eyes dressed in glowing pale green and pink silks carried in a tray with something that looked like fruit, bread and some kind of drinks on it
.

Elle frowned
.
Apparently, she has taken physical form to make me feel more comfortable, but I thought they didn’t eat on this planet
. She was the most beautiful woman Elle had ever seen.

Elle, this is my sister, Korina. Kornia, this is Elle of planet Earth.”

The vision of loveliness sat the tray down
. “I’m happy to finally meet you. We’ve heard much about you from Kole.”  A warm friendly smile appeared on the gorgeous woman’s face as she reached her hand toward Elle.

Although she didn’t touch her, Elle felt a warm tingle on her hand.

“You have much to discuss so I will leave you now to your business.”  She silently left the room.

The king turned toward her
. “We must ready ourselves to hear the voice of the Ancients of the ages.”  He relaxed against the cushions and handed Elle a plate with what looked like some kind of fruit and bread. “Normally on our world we don’t eat and drink, but we must do so to prepare ourselves for the Ancients. We must feed our soul and our spirit.”  He poured a purple liquid into the tall chilled glasses and handed her one.

If you’re wondering, on this occasion the pills we take in place of food won’t do.”  Kole smiled. “This drink will relax you and open up your inner soul. It doesn’t hurt and it tastes good,” he said, and then took a sip of his drink.

With trust shining in her eyes she glanced toward Kole to see him enjoying his drink
. She ate some of the bread and took a swallow. “It does taste good, almost like a blueberry milkshake,” she said. She smiled and her body reacted to the drink as if she had a shot of adrenaline. Her lungs opened and she could breathe deeper than ever before. What a fantastic sensation. Her mind was clear and sharp. In her entire life, she had never felt so healthy. It was as if she could almost feel the blood pumping through her veins.
I’d like to take a case of that home with me.

Kole and his father sipped their drinks in silence and watched Elle
. Together, they sat back and relaxed.

Elle didn’t know what to expect
. She leaned back against the cushions and felt totally alive. This was amazing. Then from out of nowhere a soft female voice sounded in her mind.

Namaste. My divinity meets your divinity.”
The gentle
voice echoed clearly with each of her heartbeats. She had heard this universal blessing and greeting many times on Earth. There was nothing to be frightened of. She knew this fact from the bottom of her soul and was prepared to listen.

The time has come to enlighten the humans. The ancient prophecies of Light are now to be shared with you, Starseed of the universe.”
