“You still want me?”
He smiled, settling in between her legs. “How could I not want you? I love you. In fact, I’m seriously thinking of marking you in some way. Maybe a brand that says, ‘See this goddess? She’s mine. Everyone else fuck off.’”
Patience exploded into happy giggles. “I could just wear one of those bumper stickers that says, ‘If you can read this, you’re too close.’”
“Yes! Perfect,” he drawled. Apollo leaned in to kiss her again, running his hands through her hair. As his tongue slid against hers, branding her in its own way, Patience accepted her destiny.
Forever at his side.
Snatching a breath, she withdrew from his tasty lips, only to have him pull her closer. “Wait,” she whispered. “What now? Will I have duties like you? Oh, and what about my friends? I have to tell them something. Will I be able to go back and visit?”
He kissed her on the forehead, as remorse lined his brow again. “You can help me in my duties if you wish, or we can talk to my father if you’d like to do something different. It’s up to you. I don’t think there’s a goddess of travel bloggers, but perhaps you can be the first. As for your friends, you can visit as much as you want now. But Patience, there will come a day when you’ll need to let them go. That’s the hardest part about living this life. Watching others leave it.”
She considered the future and its trials. It was daunting, to say nothing of upsetting, to think she’d outlive everyone she knew now. Apollo ran his hand down the length of her arm, seeking to comfort her, understanding the pain. And the feel of his fingers helped her remember the most important outcome.
They were together. It was the only thing that really mattered.
“I hope I haven’t saddened you,” he uttered.
She gazed deep into his matching, fiery eyes, and was so grateful to be loved by him. After a lifetime of misguided affection and disappointment, she now had genuine love. And always would.
“I’m not sad,” she replied, smiling. “I’m with you, and I love you more than life.”
And as Apollo brushed his great frame against hers, she welcomed him into her body and into her soul. As he seared and stamped her with a thousand kisses, Patience turned her head toward their bedroom window. The warm Olympian sun was shining its rays into the room, heating them further. Patience smiled, no longer worried about sunscreen and burns.
She lay back and let the sun caress her.

The Travel Chick
Blogging from Heaven!
Greetings, friends!
Well, my vacation time at Helios has come to an end, and it’s now time to provide you with my review.
Perhaps it`s best if I break the review down into categories.
Cleanliness: 5 stars. The minute any mess occurs, it gets cleaned up, as if by magic.
Food quality: 5 stars. Once you`ve tasted the delectable delights at the pasta station, you`ll never want to go home. To say nothing of the sinful cinnamon buns.
Security: 5 stars. Here at Helios, they take care of their own.
Ambiance: 5 stars. The sense of romance here is out of this world!
In short, I love it here so much I`ve decided to quit the blogging life and remain. That`s right. The owner of the resort, a veritable Greek god if I`ve ever seen one, has kindly offered me a job here. Co-owner. I think it has a nice ring to it, don’t you?
And so, I thank you for following me all this time, but I must now sign off for good. The Travel Chick is about to embark on a brand-new adventure. I may even try my hand at leading a Segway tour. For now though, until my official duties begin, I`ll just soak up some more rays!
Hasta la vista!
The End
