she agreed and threw herself into his arms.

Kate Hofman:

Born in The
Netherlands, Kate moved to London, England, when she was eighteen.

She obtained a BFA
as an Art History Major with a Minor in Interior Design. Later she moved to
Montreal, Canada. (Thought she might as well be paid for being fluent in
French).  She owned and operated an art gallery for twelve years. 

Kate married
Arnold Hofman, whom she describes as
a truly fabulous man
.  Widowed
by Arnold's untimely death, there was a huge void in her life. Good friend
Nina Bruhns urged her to write.

She says:
I did
as I was told, and in the next 4½ years I wrote two dozen books.  I
figured that’s what it would take to learn to write.  And I was
wrong!  But Rose Brungard took pity on me and gave unstintingly of her own
expertise, sending long explanatory e-mails, which helped me a lot.
 

Kate gives
grateful thanks to Thea Devine, who taught her to play “What If” when the
writer wonders where to take the story next.  And more recently, she has
been given generous help, advice and encouragement by Jennifer Mueller, whose
books she loves.  Jennifer also designed the cover art for Kate's first
two books with romanceatheart.com. 

Kate is a prolific
and successful author with over 40 published books to her credit.
