Chapter 27

~
Kori

I can’t believe this fucking mess—Father has gone too far this time. He thinks by taking Lila from me he can force my hand to come back and do as he pleases. Fuck. That. He doesn’t give a shit about my little girl, he only cares about what he can gain from me. She’s a pawn in his game, a game the Rage Ryders are going to win. Father’s used to getting his way. This time however, the demons from hell won’t even be able to save him. You don’t take a man’s little girl away from him. Not to mention, they hurt Kid while they were at it.

Poor Kid, fuck—he didn’t even care that he was hurt. He wouldn’t let anyone tend to him. He just jumped on his bike and followed his brothers. Murder was clearly intent in his eyes. Those men, my father’s men, came into his home, disrespected him and kidnapped his niece right out of his arms. His protective arms, and protective over my little girl he is. Riley just recently announced her pregnancy, and his daddy instincts have already kicked in, making this unbelievably difficult for him to accept.

Every single one of the men had revenge and retribution on their minds as they left here tonight. My only thought and hope is that they’re clear-headed enough and not clouded by a red haze that they don’t think straight and let my Father and his men get the best of them. My father’s in for a rude awakening. He thinks he knows these men through his research, only his research knows no bounds of a man, his brothers and the length they’ll go to protect their own.

Father doesn’t have a loyal bone in his body. He has no clue how these men are feeling or the lengths they’ll go too to get my baby girl back and make him pay for King’s life and the attack on Kid. My God! Riley could’ve been here. It’s just clicked into my head what could’ve potentially happened. Riley would’ve gone crazy on them taking Lila and hurting Kid. She would’ve gone Momma Bear and an Ol’ lady all in one scoop, shit—those men wouldn’t have a clue how to handle a woman desperate enough to protect her man. We Ol’ ladies are a breed of our own, Ol’ men may think they’ve got a protective streak—shit, mess with an Ol’ lady’s family and you’ll be feeling pain you didn’t realize was even humanly possible.

“How are you doing, Kori?” Sadie ask.

“You want the standard answer or the real live freak out version?” I ask.

“Maybe I should’ve just sat down next to you and wrapped my arms around you instead of asking such a stupid question. You know how it is though, no one ever says the right thing at times like this.”

Damn, I love Sadie, in her own way she manages to make me want to laugh at her, only there’s no laughter inside of me at the moment. Instead, I just smile at her the best I can, knowing it may look insincere but it’s all I’ve got at the moment.

“Yeah, I know Kori, I may say stupid shit at the wrong time, but know that no matter what I’m here. If you want to grab some weapons and head out after your daughter and who gives a damn what our men say, I’m right behind you. Tumbler can kiss my ass.”

Yep, that’s what it takes and I lose my shit laughing like my life depends on it. Why this is hysterical is anyone’s guess. But it is, and I look over as I hear a chorus of laughter and every one of us is laughing. Riley, Sadie, Skylar and myself. It’s like a dam has been broken and we can’t stop it. Guess this is the release we’ve all been needing for days.

Just as quickly as the laughing began the tears flow at a rate of pace I can’t control. All of my girl’s band around me, squeezing me and wrapping me in the love and support I need at the moment. My daughter’s gone, and my man and his brothers are out risking their lives to bring her home.

“Well,’ Skylar starts ‘we could always go out front and take it out on the prospects. They’re not allowed to hit back.”

“No way!’ I voice my opinion, ‘Tic’s brothers are out there; I’d never forgive myself for putting them in that position. They’ve been like annoying pesky brothers since the day I started dating Tic. Even so, I’d never be able to bring myself to be able to lift a finger to either of them.”

I look at them with wide eyes. I can’t believe they’d even consider doing something like that.

“At least I know I don’t have to fear my sister-n-law, you other three though, I will tread carefully around ya’ll,” Levi says, scaring the shit out of us causing us all to shriek not realizing he’d come in the front door.

“Bastard!’ Riley screams ‘I’m pregnant, shit like that makes me piss my pants!” She screams as she suddenly stands and runs down the hallway.

She should know this will give cause for all the prospects to talk about. I know immediately Levi will with the huge smile plastered on his face as he watches Riley disappear down the hall.

“Don’t even think about it,’ Sadie scowls. ‘Of course, that’s unless you want me to dismember your balls and make a necklace out of them to hang around your neck!”

Levi grabs his crotch rearranging himself and looking at us like we’re the enemy.

“You bitches are cruel! Don’t ever threaten a man’s means of reproduction.” He scowls at us, still holding onto himself as he heads back to the door, opening it to go back outside with the other guards we’re assigned with.

Skylar looks at us with a serious expression on her face. “Remind me to put together a fund for any offspring he may have. They’re going to need something to guarantee they have a chance for a future. With him as their dad, they’ll need all the luck and help they can get.”

Annnnnd…the dam breaks open one more time and we all laugh till we need to run to the bathroom to prevent peeing our own pants.

Chapter 28

~
Lila Rose

Where’s my Daddy and Mommy, I’m so scareded. When I saw Papa after those mean men took me from my Uncle Kid, Papa grabbed me by my armsa and ran me up to the stairs to a room and he locked me inside. He said to me, my Momma’s gonna learn her place. What does learn place mean? Is my Momma in troubled?

I need to go potty, but Papa is in a
very
bad mood. If I bang on the door he may get mada at me. I want my Daddy. I knows I’m gonna be in trouble when my pee runs down my leg. I’m supposed to bes being good. It’s a bad girl to pee herself. I’m not supposed to be bad, I find a blankey on the floor and grab it to try and clean.

“Damnit Lila Rose! You take after your mother, anything you can do to make my life miserable is what you two will do! You’re just as spoiled and bad as your mother. You’re lucky I don’t have time to dole out a punishment. I’m tossing you in the shower, dressed and then we’re going downstairs to dinner. There are some very important people coming to meet you tonight. You better be on your best behavior, little girl. I won’t tolerate anything more than the best. You don’t want to find out what I’m capable of. Hear me, little girl?”

                        “Y-y-yes Sssor.”

“It’s yes sir, you’re not trash Lila, not yet anyways and I’ll do everything in my power to keep you from becoming so. Now say it.”

                         “Yes sur”

“Guess that’s the best I’m going to get out of you. Now, let’s get you in the shower. Don’t take off your clothes, I want that piss smell off of you and don’t want it lingering in my house. We’ll start your shower with your clothes on, I suppose.”

“Lila, you need to understand, your mother was a huge disappointment to me as a little girl, I won’t allow that out of you. You, my dear, are worth so much more than she is. And that father of yours, well, let’s just say, you will never be anything like him, his brothers, blood or not.”

“Your father is a criminal of the lowest kind, he’s scum. He and those biker buddies of his, they have no class in business or in life. I’m sending you away to be raised by a family that will make sure you turn into the woman your mother was supposed to always be. You will bring me and my end goal that much closer. You will bind me forever to the family and money I need to bring my empire up to a state where it’s indestructible. These people will be very good to you, little one. Count yourself lucky I got you out of that life.”

After the shower with my clothes off and on he put a perty dress on me. I have ta make sure I’m a good girl. I hope my Mommy and Daddy get here before he gives me away.

Chapter 29

~
Tic

Riding with my brothers, feeling the rumble beneath my body, the smoothness of the road and the support of the brotherhood takes over and a calmness takes effect. The enforcer in me takes over the emotional pissed off father. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still pissed, but I know that there is also retaliation to be had for King’s murder. Two missions in one makes for a bloodbath in the making.

I need my mind online, active, and my emotions in check. I know we’re goin’ for my girl, but Angel and King were victims of Cardozo, as well. There’s no if’s, and’s, or but’s about it, I will make sure Kori’s request is not only carried out, but am lookin’ forward to it. I started plannin’ for this day the day Kori walked away early. I knew it would come down to him or us. No one but myself knows of the research and plannin’ I’ve been doin. Is that wrong of me? Probably. Do I give a
fuck
...no.

Only then it was just Kori and me, now we have a little soul who depends on us. Plans have changed, scenario’s changed and he moved his hand before I was a hundred percent ready and hadn’t talked to my brother’s about my future plans concernin’ his ass. We pull a mile from Cardozo’s house at a local public park. Not the best hidin’ place for the bikes, and it’s a further trek than I want, but we have to go in black. It’s the only way to ensure my Lil’ Bit’s safety.

We head into a huddle and get our shit straight.

“I know the layout of the house. I knew back the first time Kori and I were datin’ this was needed. At the time I thought it would be me rescuin’ her. I bet more than anythin’ he has my girl in her Momma’s room.”

Ghost looks at me with a blank expression, so I have no idea what’s in his head.

“Tic, I knew you would know the place like the back of your hand. If it was my Ol’ lady, I would’ve researched the shit outta the place. It’s why I’m puttin’ out there that Tic should lead us. I realize our leadership isn’t laid out at this time. This isn’t about favoritism, it’s about savin’ our little one. All in favor for Aye’s. Vote now. If there’s any Nay’s I will personally help you on your bikes and back on the road.”

There wasn’t one Nay-I was leadin’ the brothers into Cardozo’s place to save my girl.

“I know we all have a beef with Cardozo, but he’s mine. He’s hurt my girls and I want to be the one to shed his blood. I want to feel it in my hands as his life drains from him. You all can have a go at him before I do, but that’s the last compromise I’m willin’ to make when it comes to his demise.”

“Sounds reasonable to me.” Wasp says. “Let’s get on the road, I want our girl back and Cardozo in a secured area. Let’s roll, make sure your weapons are loaded and safety’s off. Watch each other’s backs and let’s make this a swift take out of his guards and let’s make the pussy piss his pants.”

With that said, we head out. We make a swift walk of the space seperatin’ us from our girl and the revenge for our President. Damn I miss King; he’d have loved this shit. I look to my left and right makin’ sure my brothers are all keepin’ up with my fast paced, determined strides. Kid, even hurt, manages to keep up with my pace, with Tumbler and Ryder at his flank. Those boys are never far from each other, especially when there’s a crisis. They want revenge for their Prez, me, and their best friend.

I notice out of the corner of my eye as we make it onto enemy territory, that Justice grabs a few of the brothers and heads toward the back. Guess they’re on watch for the back exits. I’m happy we didn’t have to take the time to plan who goes where. We just know where to go and what’s expected of us. Most of us were in one form of the services, one way or another. We know war. We know blood. Mostly, we know revenge.

The walkie Ghost is carryin’ goes off a few minutes later as we wait for the word. Justice informs us the back guards have been neutralized and the front is on us. Travler is glued to the binoculars and tells us.

“There’s three at the front door, three on the gate and five more spread out throughout the yard. Also, there’s two cars in the front with drivers stationed next to them. Looks like our boy has himself some company. There’s no tellin’ how many inside, Ghost might need Justice and a brother or two needin’ to come up and have our six on the right side of the house. Will help us with extra coverage.”

“Good idea,’ Ghost says as he pulls his walkie out and calls out to Justice. ‘Man, we need you and a couple boys to come up the right side to have our six. There’s a few extra here and company is inside. Have the others stay at the back door and come in once they hear us make our entrance.”

“Got it,” is all that is said from the other end. It’s on, motherfucker.
