“It’s been a big week Al…iss,” he
said, and pulled me closer.

“And we’re together now,” I said.

He gave me a slow kiss that tasted
a little like beer and a lot like Tomás. “Thank you,” he said as he pulled
away.

“What for?” I asked.

“For waiting, for looking after
me, for believing me, for not wanting anything from me, but me,” he said,
sincerity and love shining in his deep brown eyes.

“You are more than enough,” I
teased him, and narrowed my eyes, “maybe too much sometimes.”

He smiled and shook his head at
me.

“Thank you, Tomás, for not letting
me go,” I said, meaning every word.

“I couldn’t shake you… then I
didn’t want to lose you. Al…iss, I have to tell you something,” he started, and
suddenly got very serious.

I frowned. I don’t know if I
really wanted anything but happy news now.

“I never did it… with her.”

I breathed in sharply. I hadn’t
asked this of him but the words were everything I wanted to hear.

“Tomás,” I whispered his name as I
moved to hug him tight. I couldn’t manage any other words.

Tell me Al...iss,” he lowered his
voice, “when you look back, will you remember losing your virginity and how you
lost it?”

I pulled away to look into his
eyes. “I’ll remember, until my dying breath,” I promised him.
