This section helps you manage MP3 music and audio files, videos, and apps you've bought from Amazon for use on your Kindle Fire and other multimedia devices and apps, including the Amazon Cloud Player.

Clicking on this link takes you to the Amazon Cloud Player where you can manage music and other audio files that you've bought from Amazon as well as files you upload yourself.

Links on the left side of the page allow you to view music by songs, albums, and genres. You can also create and manage playlists. Click on an album to open it.

Click on the play/pause icon next to any song or on an album to play it. While viewing a playlist or album contents, you can also click the “Play All” button to to play the entire playlist or album.

While music is playing, use the control panel at the lower left corner of the page to control play/pause, skipping tracks, muting, shuttle, and repeat modes.

Clicking this link takes you to an Amazon web page showing all the videos you've purchased from
 
Amazon. Links on the left side let you view all videos or show movies, TV shows, purchases, and rentals.

Click on a video to watch it now on your computer, download it to your Fire, or delete it.

Clicking this link takes you to the Appstore for Android where you can manage apps and subscriptions for your Fire.

If you have a smart phone or other Android device, you can manage it as well as your Kindle Fire from this page.

And of course, you can shop for new apps in the store.

Kindle Help is the first place to go for assistance when you encounter an unexpected problem. While using any of the Kindle Account pages, you can get help for that page by clicking on "Kindle Help" at the upper right corner of the screen. A dropdown list shows topics relevant to the specific page you're on and also gives you the option of browsing general Kindle help. You can also contact Kindle Support if you can't find the answer in Kindle Help.

Kindle Support is available from any Kindle Account page by clicking on "Kindle Help" at the upper right corner and then selecting “Contact Us” from the pop-up.

A list of Kindle help topics is displayed on the left side of the screen to help you find a solution to your problem. If you can't find the answer you require in the help topics, click Contact Customer Support.

To contact Kindle support, select an issue from the dropdown. If you have an order ID, you can enter it. Then, you can either e-mail support or have Amazon call you. Amazon has excellent customer service and is very responsive to your queries by either of these channels.

Kindle books and other documents can be shared with multiple Kindles and Free Kindle Reading Apps as long as they are registered to the same account. In this section, all references to Kindle devices refer to both physical Kindles and any of the Free Kindle Reading Apps.

If you've bought a new Kindle and plan to sell or give your old Kindle away, do the following:

If you've organized your Kindle books into collections, you'll almost certainly want to transfer your collections to your new Kindle. To do this, open “Archived Items” at the end of your Home screens. Then click on “Add Other Device Collections”. Choose the Kindle or app you'd like to transfer collections from.

This procedure transfers collections only, not the items you've organized by collections. You still must add archived items to your Kindle or app from “Archived Items”, but when you do, they will appear in the collections you placed them in on the other Kindle. Normally, when you buy a new Kindle or download a new app, transfer collections first, then any books you want on the new Kindle.

If your Kindle is not in wireless coverage, you can download and transfer the book to your Kindle via USB:

Follow the steps above, except from the Action button, select “Download and Transfer via USB”

Connect your Kindle to the computer with the USB cable

Copy the file from the folder from which it was downloaded to the "Documents" folder on the Kindle

Safely remove the Kindle and unplug the USB cable

The book will appear in Home

Periodicals can only be transferred to a new Kindle using Amazon.com on your computer:

Go to “Your Account” and then “Manage Your Kindle”

Under “Your Kindle Account,” select “Subscriptions Settings” . For the Fire, select “Manage Your Apps” under “Other Digital Items”

Click on the Actions button at the left side of the item you want to transfer

Select "Deliver future editions to..."

From the dialog box, pick the Kindle to deliver to, and then click “Deliver." The subscription will appear on the Kindle's Home page

At present, periodicals can't be read on the Free Kindle Reading Apps.

You'll need a computer with one or two free USB ports to transfer audiobooks from one Kindle to another:

Plug the old Kindle into a USB port using the cable that came with the Kindle. The Kindle will show up as an external hard drive on the computer

Repeat for the new Kindle

•
        
Open the "audible" folder on both Kindles

•
        
On the old Kindle, select all the audible files (Aa, AAX) you wish to transfer

•
        
Drag and drop the files in the "audible" folder on the new Kindle

•
        
Safely eject both Kindles from the computer and remove the USB cables

•
        
The audiobooks will appear in Home (on the Fire they'll be in the Book library)

If your computer has only one free USB port, connect the old Kindle and copy the contents of the "audible" folder to your computer. Eject the old Kindle and connect the new Kindle. Then copy the audible files to the "audible" folder on the new Kindle and eject the new Kindle. Now remove the USB cable
