“He’s a
wrestler
; I never expected him
to be celibate before we met. I admire Kyra for being honest with
me about their old relationship. We’ve gotten to be good friends,
and I feel sorry for the poor woman after what she’s been
through.”

“What would you do if she suggested

you know?”

“She knows I’m straight, if that’ what you’re
indicating, and would probably be understanding if I said
no.”

“I’m straight too, but now that I think about
it, doing another girl would be kind of hot, especially if you two
had Brett join in.”

“Phoebe!”

“I was kidding. If I was ever asked to join
another girl and a guy in bed, I would try it just to satisfy my
curiosity.”

“You’ve thought about
it?”

“What straight woman hasn’t at least once? So
would you let Kyra do you? She’s sexy.”

Karen cleared her throat. “I’m kind of on the
fence about that with being pregnant. I also don’t relish the
thought of cheating on Brett, whether it’s with a man
or
woman.”

Phoebe got up to head back to her desk. “As
they say, don’t knock it until you try it. Then you’ll know if
Kyra’s as big of a nymph as people say.”

Karen watch her leave, deep in thought.
Maybe Phoebe has a point, perhaps getting together with Kyra
wouldn’t hurt. It’ll just be
one
time, after all, and if
Brett’s in town with her, so much the better

CHAPTER 41

On the Saturday afternoon Brett was scheduled
to wrestle for Squared Circle Express, Kyra dropped by his hotel.
They hadn’t seen each other since the previous July, even though
they spoke on the phone as often as their schedules
permitted.

He gave her a hug. “To whom do I owe for this
pleasant surprise?”

“I have a week off between bookings and I knew
you were having a show tonight. I wanted to come and give you my
support.”

“Well, I won’t complain about getting visits
from a beautiful woman, since it doesn’t happen very
often.”

“You’re charming as always. Is it true they
changed your opponent for tonight?”

“Yeah, I was supposed to have a single’s match
with Norman Young, but at almost the last minute, Gil thought it
would be a good idea to toss me in with The Hipsters for us to face
three other guys ‘to be announced.’ Sometimes I hate when he does
that shit, because it gives me less time to prepare.”

“You’ve done last-minute work before and always
came out well.”

“Most of those times, I was
jobbing.”

“A few times, the powers that be let you
win.”

“True, but the way things have gone for me over
the last six months, I wouldn’t want to go back to the days before
I was released.”

“Me neither! Sure, I make less money with my
current gigs than I did before I lost my own contract, but I’m a
lot happier since I’m free to wrestle the way
I
want instead
of parading around a ring half-naked to draw in horny teenage boys
for ratings when I wasn‘t being scrutinized for my
weight.”

“At least in the independents, few guys see the
women as eye candy and sluts only there for a cheap
lay.”

“That’s so true. Most guys I’ve worked with on
some of my bookings have been really sweet. They don’t care if I
weigh one-thirty, and it’s been so nice getting booked in some
high-quality matches without having to fuck most of the talent
roster, the writing team, or upper management.”

“Another joy of the independents, none of the
power games bullshit. You should also consider Orlando Wrestling.
No having to kiss management‘s ass for even the smallest favor, the
schedule’s lighter, I’m able to work for them and do some
independent shows, and Stephanie Cross is one of the best people
I’ve worked for since Graham Sobeck and Gil Preston. Why don’t you
give her a call? I’ll be happy to put in a good word for
you.”

“I’ll do it when I get back to my room. You’d
really vouch for me?”

“That’s what friends do, sugar. It would be
cool to work with a woman who has one of the best asses in this
business again.”

“Brett, stop, you’re making me
blush.”

“Only telling it how it is.”

“Oh! I forgot to tell you, I talked to her
about a week ago.”

“Who?”

“Karen.”

Oh, shit.
“How did
that happen?”

“The night you had your Orlando Wrestling debut
match. She interviewed me awhile back, and we sort of hit it off
and I kept her number. We talked a long time, so stuff about you,
and about each other. She knows.”

“Knows about what?”

“Both about you and I being ‘friends with
benefits’ before you got serious with her

and
me being bisexual.”

“Oh, God, Kyra. Why did you have to tell her?
She’s going to kill my ass.”

“On the contrary, Karen was really cool. I
think she was curious about the bi thing, because we talked about
it for a long time. I told her about my last
girlfriend.”

“Do
not
bring up her name in front of
me. I still say that whore was part of the reason I got fired
outside of the pot problem. She’s lucky I didn’t go to her current
boyfriend about her fucking women behind his back. If you weren’t
involved with her at the time, I’d had no problem telling him the
whole story. On a more pleasant topic, how is life with your
husband?”

“Kent’s been a lot better these days,” she
said. “It’s almost like we’d just gotten married all over again.
He‘s even hinting at another threesome.”

“Then how come you’re
here?”
he
teased.

“Who says we didn’t have wild and sweaty sex
this morning?”

“Jesus Christ, TMI.”

“With the filthy mind you have sometimes, you
wouldn‘t have minded watching.”

Brett kissed her cheek. “I was just messing
with you, sweetheart. But these days, I tend to think more about
Karen while I’m rubbing one out than ordering porn.”

“Ugh, now who’s TMI?” She made a
face.

“Since when do my tales of jacking off make you
cringe? Have you forgotten that was when you came to my room crying
about your husband being an ass while I was in the middle of
stroking and you all but caught me?”

“Yeah. We ended up drunk and going to
bed.”

“The beginning of a great
friendship.”

“Then you met Karen and I decided to work on my
marriage. So

have you ever thought about
it?”

“Hell no! I told you I don’t do dick, so a
three-way with you and Kent is
out.”

“I was going to ask if you ever thought about
being with
two women
. Come on, Brett, that turns on every
man I’ve known.”

“Maybe before Karen, but now I wouldn’t even
consider that shit.”

“Not even if the two were me and
her?”

Brett was taken aback by her suggestion. “I
can’t believe what I just heard. Kyra, what the fuck?”

“Come on, you’ve been given consent by Orlando
Wrestling to work the show in Pittsburgh with me, so what would be
better post-show festivities than a hot time with
both
of us
in bed with you, or did you have plans to jerk off while watching
Big Time Sluts
again?”

“Hey, that’s my favorite chubby chick porn.
There’s only a couple of problems with your little plan for a
three-way. Karen’s straight and wouldn’t she have to know about
your intention to rape me?”

“She and I discussed it, so I know about her
being straight. As for the ‘raping you’ part, last I heard, one
can’t rape the willing. You think I haven’t done threesomes before
with straight girls? Most of the time, they end up liking me doing
them before their men join in as much as my bisexual partners. It
isn’t like you haven’t had sex with Karen or me before.”

“Yeah, just not at the same time. When in the
hell did you think of that idea anyway?”

“After I had the interview with Karen. Then I
saw a picture of you two together online awhile back, I think it
was after one of the Dragonfly shows or something. God, you said
she was a bigger girl, but zilch about her being so pretty, having
a big ass, and great set of boobs I love.”

“Because I knew you’d try to hit on her, and I
wasn’t in the mood to share with either guys or chicks, be they
close friends or otherwise.”

“I did anyway, and I think she’s interested. I
can’t wait to get her clothes off and do all kinds of
things.”

“You’re saving some for me. She’s
my
girlfriend, lady.”

“Such a possessive little man. So you’ll
consider a night with us? I‘ll promise good time, and neither of
you will regret it.”

“Jesus. People say I have pervert tendencies.
Let’s just see what Karen decides and go from there.”

She walked to the door. “Something tells me
she’ll be up to something new. I’ll see you at the show and maybe
we can have dinner after.”

“Works for me. Thanks for the visit. Maybe we
can call Karen later too.”

“Ooooh, can’t wait!”

“May I remind you it’ll be a three-way
phone
call
,” Brett said with a grin right before she left.

CHAPTER 42

While preparing for his Squared Circle Express
match that evening, Brett downed an entire soda in two minutes
before tossing the empty can into a recycling bin. “Perfect shot!
Two points!“ he yelled before letting out a loud belch.

Justin Jacobs made a face and began to laugh.
“Could you be more fucking obnoxious?”

“What‘s your problem?”

“Jesus, Kerrigan. How did you land a woman, and
how does she put up with you?”

“Be thankful he didn’t
fart,”
Mark
Jacobs replied. “From what Patrick’s told me, the little man here
puts the ‘deadly’ in ‘silent but deadly’.”

“As if Pat and you clowns never farted,” Brett
shook his head. “How did the three of us get thrown together at the
last minute?”

“Gil’s idea after your scheduled challenger had
to back out because he’d signed with another company,” Mark
answered. “He thought we worked so well at the last show, he’d book
us again.”

“Better you two than some ass wipe fresh out of
wrestling school.”

“Oh yeah,” Justin said. “Gil said something
about a surprise being in store. We tried to get more information
out of him, but he wouldn’t budge.” He then explained the story
line to Brett. “We’re supposed to leave a part in the middle open
for the surprise.”

Brett groaned. “Why do people insist on
torturing me at the last minute? First the entry in the Orlando
Wrestling pay-per-view, and now this.”

“Oh, I think you’re going to dig this,” Mark
said.

“You
know
what’s going to
happen?”

“Well, yeah, it’s part of the
story.”

“Why didn’t Gil say anything to
me?”

“Because you’re part of the surprise, man. Iif
you’re going to know what it is, we need to get our asses out to
the ring.”

*****

Square Circle Express’ Tag Team champions The
Hipsters accompanied Brett to the ring. Justin Jacobs said he'd
like to tell a story. “A few years ago, we started out right here
in Los Angeles and we didn‘t know anything about the wrestling
business.”

“Two and a half years later,” Mark said, “we
became bigger than the business and this It took leaving this
shitty city for a beautiful place like Orlando. We hang out with
the best people in the business, and doing that, Jus and I have
realized that this generation belongs to us.”

“While on that, we
need to get rid of some baggage,” Justin replied before both men
attacked Brett. Within minutes, the crowd’s cheers thundered
through the small venue when Patrick Sanchez-Garcia hit the ring in
street clothes and helped Brett

who was thrilled to see
his best friend and former tag team partner

clear the ring.
So this was the
surprise!

Patrick grabbed a microphone. “You know, I
happen to live here in Los Angeles,” he told the crowd. “Brett
Kerrigan is my best friend and I’ve watched him from the beginning.
I think as well as my buddy has done, he needs some more
motivation. Therefore, I’m reuniting with him tonight for a match
against The Hipsters.”

“Fuck The Hipsters!” a couple of fans yelled
from the stands. The statement evolved into a chant that Patrick
encouraged until it filled the entire building.

Brett spotted Gil Preston. “Gil, you heard Pat.
We want The Hipsters, and we want them tonight. Make the
match!”

Gil gave a curt nod and complied with the
request. Brett and Patrick’s promo segment ended afterward. “This
is going to be good,” Patrick muttered as they headed backstage
away from the crowd.
