Although they had made love
already, Trisha was still bashful about being revealed in all her
glory. Ethan stopped her from covering herself with a towel, took a
step back, and gazed at her figure.

said.

They stepped into the
shower and allowed their hair to mat to their heads. Finding
complimentary scented body wash on the shelf, Ethan began to lather
the married woman up. The friction of skin on skin disappeared in

They kissed, tasting each
other’s mouths and the hot water beating down on their naked

Then the text message
indicator on his phone went off. He sighed and sat up. The noise
woke up Trisha who turned to him. As if it wasn’t hard enough being
a gamer’s wife, she was reminded that she was also a Sheriff’s
wife. He kissed her on the forehead, pulled on his uniform, and
went to answer the urgent call, promising to call her
later.

He ducked his head back in
the room and smiled at her, “Happy Valentine’s Day baby. We’ll go
out to dinner for a little bit tonight okay?” Then he was gone. She
looked out the window as her husband drove off to save the town
of
St. Tammany Parish
from another emergency.

The moment he left, Trisha
went to her bag and fished out her phone, to see if Ethan had
texted. Indeed he had. He was telling her that he’d be back in town
in six months, and would love to meet again for dinner. Trisha bit
her lip. She knew that the sequel to Nate’s favorite game would be
out by then, and he would most definitely be glued to it. Her hands
shaking, she replied that she would think about it.
