Kyle wanted to leave the car. He wanted to be an honorable man and give her the space she’d requested but his sexual need was too great. Without thought, he placed his massive hand comfortably on her thigh, close to her zipper. He gently tugged at her pants. She swallowed. She wanted to refuse but it was too late.

“Shh, sit back and just enjoy this for a moment,” he whispered, leaning over her and reclining the seat back. He spoke again, “I want to kiss you so badly. I think you want it too Angie.”

“Never,” she unconvincingly uttered as he tugged her in his direction. She willingly moved.

“Mmm, we’ll see about that, give me a few minutes,” he said as he placed another kiss on her left cheek, then her right, then slowly he planted small wet kisses up and down her neck until she was in raw passion and moaning.

“You don’t like that,” he said with lust in his voice. She rolled her eyes up and turned her head to the side so he couldn’t see her pleasure.

“No baby, please look at me,” he commanded. She obeyed. Kyle’s lips then darted right above her own, between her nose and her upper lip. He was mere inches from her mouth. She closed her eyes, hoping he would just claim her lips fully. But he wouldn’t make it that easy on her. He swiftly let his snake like tongue roam freely around the lining of her lips, driving her mad with desire. Kyle looked down and caught her hands in between her thighs.

“Mmm, that’s right don’t fight this Angie! Now tell me I can taste your sweet lips.”

“Kyle, oh goodness, this is better than touching myself,” she gushed out without thinking.

The lustful confession drove her insane with anger. She quickly jerked her seat up and pointed her finger towards the door.

“Get out of this car now Kyle Parker,” she shouted trying to collect herself.

A stunned Kyle exited but Angela wasn’t done with him yet. She stormed out of the car to give him a piece of her mind, but instead he drew her into his embrace.

“Go ahead Angie, slap me again, kick me, yell, but truth is we want one another. I made a mistake and I just want to make this right between us.” He stated as he cupped her ass.

“Us?”

“Yes, us!”

“There is no
us
.”

“But there could be,” he uttered with a serious look on his face.

His words were driving her mad. She quickly wiggled out of his embrace then looked him squarely in the eyes.

“I’m not sure why you are here, but please keep your distance from me. You are not my friend, you never were,” she shouted with longing in her eyes and then ran to the house and slammed the door shut.

Kyle felt defeated, but he wasn’t going to let her words break him.
One day she would be his
.

Kyle was a determined man, and once he made his mind up about something no one could stop him. No one.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Dinner was tense but eventually Angela softened her mood a bit, for the sake of Anne. Her new niece had even forced them to sit closely on the couch, after dinner, so she could snuggle in between them as she watched the movie Frozen, they were already on their second viewing.

Kaya watched them from a distance pleased with her decision.

“Playing matchmaker baby?” Max snickered softly in her ear while pulling her close to him.

“Well, someone had to get them together in the same room,” she laughed wrapping her arms around him. He was immediately turned on.

“Max, let’s go for a walk on the beach. There is something I need to discuss with you,” she said pushing him back a bit.

“What’s wrong?” he asked her with concern in his eyes. Her words were cut short when Anne popped up and screamed, “Let’s watch it again.”

Both Kyle and Angela jumped up and yawned loudly, indicating that they were done for the night. Another viewing of the movie and they were going to drown themselves in the ocean.

Kaya spoke, “No Anne, it’s time for bed. Uncle Kyle and Aunt Angie are exhausted. They flew all the way here to see you today. They need to get some rest.”

Anne leaped with joy.

“You’re my Uncle Kyle,” she stated looking at him intently. Kaya had misspoke and felt horrible.

“Kyle, I am so sorry,” Kaya quickly apologized. But her apology fell on deaf ears the moment Kyle lifted Anne in his arms and spoke, “Of course I am. Me and your Aunt Angie are so glad to be here with you. Tomorrow we will spend the entire day together, just the three of us,” he said, peering over at Angie who again was fuming with anger.

No one said a word.

The beach house was small and intimate so Kyle had agreed to go to a local hotel, just walking distance down the road. Angela was pleased with his decision and agreed to have a sleepover in her room, Anne would be her honorary guest.

When Kaya and Max were finally alone, Kaya fell out on the bed and rolled her head comfortably into the pillow. He stood over her, bare chested, looking like a Roman God.

“Baby, are you worried about the garden?” he questioned as he sat down beside her. He continued, “I think we have another few hard days of work and then Ms. Roy’s request will be satisfied.” She knew how appreciative he was of the gift Ms. Roy had bestowed upon them, it had changed their lives. Her mind immediately drifted to the last letter she received from Mr. Fox.

She spoke, “Why didn’t you ever tell me you came looking for me?”

Silence fell over the both of them. Max looked shocked but he wasn’t ever going to hold anything back from her. He ran his hands through his hair, his core muscles flexed as he shifted his body to explain.

“I wanted to tell you when we first reconnected you were still angry. I never thought in a million years you would ever forgive me,” he gently kissed her lips and then continued. “You looked happy when I saw you with that guy back then, I knew that it was my punishment for what I had done to you that night. I deserved it, so I backed off,” He uttered remorsefully.

Kaya sat up in the bed. She let her fingers trail along his core.

“Max honey, it wasn’t anything serious. I was young. We dated for only a few months, and then it was over.” Her voice rose a bit, she wanted him to know her next words were honest and sincere, “How could I ever fully give someone else my heart when my heart has always been

with you?” she stated with a smile on her face. He blushed slightly and ran his fingers through her hair. Max and Kaya had waited nearly fifteen years for their love, and now here it was, blossoming in front of their very own eyes. With every beat of his heart, he knew she was the woman he was destined to be with, heart and soul. He loved her.

“I have something I need to share with you and something I need to ask. It’s important…” But it was too late, his growing need had already taken over, Max hadn’t been able to share his bed with her the night before and he couldn’t go another minute without her. He needed her at that very moment. Her heartfelt confession had sent him over the edge and now he had to claim what was rightfully his.

“Not now baby, later. Your man needs you. I am desperate for your touch,” he told her with hunger in his eyes.

“But Max, I really need to talk to you.”

“Not now, Kaya,” he said planting small, wet kisses on her navel. A warmth filled her core and she was gone, lost in his touch. Lost in his love. He pulled off her sweater and unclasped her bra. Her breast spilled out, he grabbed them quickly into his grip. He let out a voracious moan then licked his lips as his head immediately drooped down and sucked fiercely at her aching buds.

“You are going to come for me hard tonight,” he confidently stated. Her head bounced around on the bed, to show she understood. Then he moved. He stood and dropped his pants to the ground. Her dark eyes, hastily followed the dark hair trail from the top of chest all the way to his large erection.

“See what you do to me?” he uttered as his throbbing cock pressed into her skin. Then he swiftly pulled off her pants until nothing was between them except her Victoria Secret’s, bright yellow laced thong.

“Love the color sunshine,” he groaned, as he stirred the base of the underwear with his sturdy fingers. She rolled over on her curvy stomach, teasing him, arousing him more.

“Oh, you want me to beg for what’s mine, don’t you?” he said pulling her legs apart from the back. He brushed his fingers against the thin material again, causing her to twist in desire. Max then planted small, delicate kisses on the back of her legs. She was turned on and he knew it. His eyes zoned in on the bright undies, which were now full of moisture and scent. He rotated his fingers around, causing more fluids to build between her legs, he was pleased with himself.

“Yum, I’ve trained you well,” he said in a low husky voice before tugging them off. “Let me make love to you,” he moaned while intensely rubbing and pulling at her naked folds. She was beautiful, and all his. The only thing he had left to do was to make it official.

He spread her legs wide and then dove into her fast and wild, feeling each muscle contract as he rushed her pussy with his large member. She clenched her tight walls around him as he moved in and out of her with urgency.

“Kaya I…” he couldn’t continue his thoughts, he was lost in her sweetness. The scent of her arousal danced around his nose filling him with even greater need. He plunged his tongue deep into her mouth and drank her up until there was nothing left except their final explosion. He gripped her delicate hand; and moved deeper into her aching walls. He moved his body a little to the left so he could reach her spot with one successful stroke. Then he spoke, “Baby, are you ready?” Kaya knew what was about to come and her body ached for a strong release.

But then Max paused; moved closer to her, kissing her sweetly on her puffy lips. With nothing but raw passion and love between them he spoke, “Kaya, you are the love of my life. Make me the happiest man in this world by marrying me!”

Tears of joy rushed down her face and then she felt his manhood grower strong and firmer and then with one fierce stroke he took her completely. She came fully, bucking and shuddering in delight. Max followed her lead, and released himself fully into her. Into his woman, soon his wife.

He rolled over and grabbed her close until he drifted off into a deep sleep.

She remained awake.

Afraid and scared.

Tomorrow, she would tell him, tell him everything. She was confident after tonight he would stay.

Kaya could hear Anne tapping on the door and jumped up to put on some clothes. She pushed Max and forced him awake.

“Augh, kids,” he groaned placing the pillow over his ears.

Kaya felt sick. She ran into the bathroom and slammed the door shut behind her.

Max jumped up, “What’s the matter Kaya? Look, I told you that if you didn’t get better soon you would go to the doctor. I was serious.” He stated outside of the bathroom door.

“I’m fine Max. I promise. I know what’s wrong with me already,” she stated with hesitation. He slowly pushed the door open and caught the woman he loved sitting on the floor near the toilet with a sickly look on her face. She stood and slipped on a gown.

“Princess Kaya and King Max, please let me in,” the impatient voice screamed from the other side of the door. She was no longer whispering knowing they were up and about.

“One minute,” Max yelled back.

Kaya didn’t look at him. She was too afraid to.

“I know your parents weren’t the most ideal ones in the world, neither were mine but I always understood the importance of family. Max, do you understand it’s the only thing I ever wanted in my life…my own family?”

Max was confused. Hadn’t she heard him the night before confess his love? He wanted to marry him. She wouldn’t be alone anymore.

The knocking continued.

“Please Princess Kaya open the door. I’m scared and I want to see you,” Anne pleaded outside the door. They could clearly hear Angela trying to calm her down but she wasn’t hearing it.

“Anne we will be right there,” Max reassured, trying not to sound too frustrated.

“Kaya baby,” he moved closer to her, “I asked you to marry me last night. You will never be alone again.” He tried to pull her into his arms. She pushed him away.

“Max, you don’t understand,” she whimpered with tears welling up in her eyes. “I’m pregnant.”

He didn’t say a word. He stood there cold and distant. They both heard the bedroom door open.

“Princess Kaya, King Max, where are you?” Anne shouted getting closer.

Kaya ran out of the bathroom crying leaving Max lost in his thoughts.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Peas, lettuce, broccoli, radishes and all sorts of cool season seeds were being planted in the garden when they arrived. The leading news station in the Charleston market had a reporter on tap, asking questions and capturing footage so the entire community could witness the final days of planting before the official unveiling. The garden was abuzz, dozens of volunteers were already lined up for assignments, and many others were on their knees getting their hands dirty in the ground.

The garden would be a first of its kind, providing free food to anyone in need. It was a joyous time for all but not for Kaya. She looked pale and tired. She was suffering from severe morning sickness and it was taking a toll on her. Plus Max hadn’t said much to her since the morning revelation. His ice cold demeanor and distance told her that he needed time to process. When Kyle had arrived at the beach house earlier that day, Max opted to ride with him. Causing even more stress to Kaya. Deep down she was devastated but she needed to remain strong for herself, the baby and Anne.

Max was deep in thought the entire morning. He was actually glad that Kyle was there. The two of them had spent the morning chuckling about random guy things while they pulled the last of the weeds from the garden. They even uprooted and hauled out an old tree stump near the front gate, making it easier for folks to see the true beauty of the space. Kyle was extremely helpful; he wasn’t anything like the gossip rags had portrayed him to be. He was laid back and sort of quiet, which shocked Max. When he got back to New York, he was going to hang out with him for sure, they had a lot in common. The truth was, if he ever needed some male companionship, it was today.
