“You are a hard person to find you know,” Bryant said pleasantly to Xavier while  offering his hand towards him for a friendly handshake. Bryant did not harbor any of the resentment towards Xavier that he still held towards Wesley. He began to apply his most charming personality now that he reached his target. Now, if he could only convince Xavier to do what it was that he wanted him to do.  Xavier studied him for a moment and gingerly returned the shake.

“What brings you out this way Bryant?” Xavier asked, carefully eyeing his old acquaintance, and then glancing back to the news, clearly unimpressed by the visit. The two of them had never been friends, but also had never been enemies.

“You do actually.”

“I can’t imagine why. I haven’t seen you in decades,” he said frankly. Xavier didn’t play games with people. He had a very direct personality, just like Wesley, Bryant thought.

“I’ve come to you because I’ve run across someone that I think you would be most interested to meet,” Bryant replied, sensing he must get right to the point as though his time was limited. Xavier slowly looked back up at Bryant as a sign for him to continue. Bryant smiled his widest, most friendly grin, knowing that his plan was going to work.
