She let out a wailing moan as she hit the brink and climaxed for her second time of the evening.

Hi, Linda,” Candy said as she squeezed between Linda and Ann. They were standing by the time clock in the hallway in front of the main office when Candy strolled by and slid her card in the time clock and headed for the salesfloor.

I have your little present, Candy,” Linda said. They were standing in the recesses of the lay-a-way storage area, isolated from other employees. It was Linda’s day for covering the department for the morning break and would be there for fifteen minutes. She alternated covering the department with Ann who would cover the afternoon break.

Thank you so much,” Candy said. “Jesse will be so happy, it’s for him.”

Sorry, Honey, you’ll have to take that up with Jesse. The shit cost me more so the shit costs you more. If you don’t want it, you don’t have to take it. There are people lined up for this stuff. I could get twenty if I wanted. You’re getting a hell-of-a deal. It’s prime weed. You better be quick, we don’t want to spend all day arguing back here.”

Okay, okay, I’ll take it,” Candy said and pulled a ten and five singles from her purse and handed the money over and Linda palmed the lid to Candy who tucked it inside the waistband of her skirt and covered it with her blouse.

Do you want to pick up your lay-away, while you’re at it?” Linda asked. “I noticed you have several.”

“
I’ll pick up one. I don’t have enough money for all of them, thanks to you,” Candy said.

“
Like I said, people are lined up.”

They both went to the front of the department and Linda rang in the balance on Candy
’s lay-a-way.

“
Are you taking the lay-a-way with you now, or do you want me to hold it for you till you get off? Did you buy anything exciting?”

“
I bought a new purse and a few bras,” Candy said. “Real exciting.” She pulled the purse from the bag and showed it to Linda. “I get off at five; I’ll pick it up then.”

“
That’s really cute,” Linda said. She turned and walked to the “hold” area and put the package in the alphabetically labeled shelves for employee purchases.

Linda finished relieving the lay-a-way clerk and started to the Jewelry department. When she passed the pet department, she noticed that Candy was standing with Cowboy Jesse. She didn
’t see it but was sure Candy had passed the lid to him. She could see that they were in a heated conversation and Candy stomped her foot, turned, and left Jesse standing. He raised both arms in apparent exasperation and walked toward the Garden Shop exit.

“
Ann, come here for a sec,” Linda said to Ann when she passed the Deli. “I have found your perfect opportunity to get back at your friend Candy. Would you like to hear it?”

The two huddled close and Ann bent her head to hear what Linda was proposing. When Linda filled Ann in on what her plan was, Ann
’s face became radiant with a perfect smile and she wrapped her arms around Linda and gave her a full body squeezed.
