Now, their
life together could really begin.

Chapter Seventeen

“You really went to a lot of
trouble, honey.  What is the occasion?”

Allison
stepped out of the limousine and stared at the two waitresses spreading rose
petals from where they stood to the entrance of the intimate little restaurant
in front of them.  Tiaan just smiled and took her arm, guiding her inside.  The
inside of the place was
breathtaking
and oozed romance and love.  The lighting was low and candles flickered softly
to increase the romanticized picture the owner tried to create.

Allison leaned
closer to Tiaan and whispered in his ear, “Are we too early, honey?  Why is
there no one else here?”

Tiaan leaned
down and whispered back in hers, “Maybe because I rented the restaurant for the
evening.”

“What?  Why?”
She whispered and her hand tightened around his arm.

“Because I
want to spend a special, relaxed evening with the woman I love,” he dutifully
continued the whispered trivia.

Allison froze
and stood like a statue.  Tiaan turned to her and dragged her body against
his.  Her eyes were wide with wonder.  Tiaan frowned at her.

“Don’t tell me
you don’t believe me?  More than that, don’t tell me you did not know?”

“I…no, I
didn’t.  I wanted to believe you did, but you never once said anything.”

“I said it
with every touch and kiss, my love.  I can’t tell you the exact moment I fell
in love with you, but I know it started growing deeper and deeper with every
minute we spent together.  Surely you must have felt it in my touch, as I did
in yours, before you said the words.”

“It seems I
need a few lessons on reading touch.  Would you…I’d like to hear the words,
Tiaan.”

Tiaan leaned
forward and kissed her lingeringly on her lips and cupped her face between his
palms.  His eyes shone and glittered like diamonds.  His expression a conduit
for the feelings in his heart.

“I love you,
Allison.  I love you for the person that you are and for how you love me.  With
a passion and enthusiasm that leaves me breathless. I see myself in your eyes
every time I look at you and it humbles me.  I would never be able to love
another woman.  You are it for me.  I love you with every beat of my heart and
from the depth of my essence. You complete me, my love.  You are the yin to my
yang and the other half of my soul.”

“Oh sweet
Lord, you do know how to bring a woman to her knees.  I love you so much and
can’t imagine my life without you in it.  It was thoughts of you that guided
and carried me through those days with Greg.  All that mattered was that I
would see you again, that you would listen and believe me when I told you how
much you mean to me.  Nothing else during that period mattered as much as
that.  You were the one on my mind all the time.”

A small band
in the corner of the restaurant started playing a slow tune and Tiaan closed
his arms around her.

“Dance with
me?”

“I dance with
you every day, my love. Our own special dance of living our love.  Now I’d love
to dance in your arms, yes.”

Tiaan walked
her toward the small, intimate dance floor and pulled her close.  He buried his
face in her hair and breathed in deeply.  His heart thudded inside his chest as
her arms wrapped around his neck and she melted into him.  It humbled him every
time she did that.  She did not just lean into his caresses, she became one
with them.  Allison handed herself over to his control with such abandonment he
could only gasp and accept it diffidently.

“I love you,
baby.  Will you be mine, always?”

“Oh, my love,
I have been yours since that first day you took my hand into yours.  I am
yours, my love, always.”

“Hmm…maybe I
should make it a little clearer and rephrase that.”

Tiaan stepped
back, went down on one knee in front of her and Allison’s breath caught in her
throat.  He took her hand in his and smiled at her.  A slow, sweet smile that
tugged at her heart.  He looked like a naughty boy caught with his hand in the
cookie jar.

“You are my
heart and without you to hold it safe, I would wither and die.  Will you make
me complete and be my wife?  Allison Jane Hadley, will you marry me?”

With her free
hand, Allison traced his jaw and a slow beautifying smile curved around her
lips and stole Tiaan’s breath.

“Only if you
promise to safeguard my heart within yours forever and a day.  Yes, Tiaan John
Sheppard, I will marry you.”

Tiaan rose,
while reaching into his pocket.  He pushed a glittering broad band diamond ring
on her finger and lifted her hand to kiss her finger lovingly.

“Never take
this off, my love.  It is my commitment to you.  To love you and care for you
forever and into eternity thereafter.”

Allison looked
at the ring in awe.  It was absolutely stunning and Tiaan could not decide
which glittered the brighter.  The diamonds or her eyes.

“It is
absolutely exquisite.”

Tiaan drew her
back into his arms and they swayed with the beat of the music.  Allison was happier
than she ever thought she could be.  They swayed contently until their first
course arrived and he led her to their table.

“I hope you
don’t mind that I selected our menu.  I wanted to make the night as special as
I could for you.”

“This is
perfect and no, I don’t mind at all.”

“Hmm…I sense a
but in there?”

“It would have
been even more perfect if our families were here to share this special occasion
with us.”

“Yeah…talking
about those hooligans…”

Tiaan nodded
at the smiling owner who walked to the door, opened it and Allison gaped as
people started pouring into the restaurant and pretty soon the place was
packed.  With only their family and closest friends.

Tiaan hugged
Allison and smiled into her eyes.

“Is this what
you had in mind, my love?”

“Perfect,
honey and you are perfect.  Perfect for me and…our child.”

Tiaan froze
and his mouth opened and closed a few times before he could get a word out.

“You…we…are
you saying what I think you’re saying?”

Allison
giggled and hugged him tight.  He was so endearing.  “Yes, my love, we are
going to have a baby.  I found out my second week on the island and have been
waiting for the perfect moment to tell you.”

“And this was
the perfect moment.  We’re going to be parents…
shit

I am going to be
a father!
When…?”  His eyes cleared and he grinned like a naughty child.

“That first
night at the wedding?”  He wanted to know, seemingly pleased with the knowledge
of having made her pregnant on that particular night.

“Yes. I am
fourteen weeks pregnant.”

Tiaan’s eyes
glittered and he was as excited as he had been at his first big birthday party.
He looked around, searching for his twin.  He took Allison’s hand and tugged
her with him.

“Come, my
love, this I have to share with Mason.”

Allison
smiled, thinking how it portrayed the intense love and devotion the brother’s
shared.  That he was the first one he wanted to share the special news with,
rather than his parents.  He walked into Mason and pulled him in a hard hug.
Even though Mason was surprised, he returned the hug and frowned at his twin.

“What was that
for, little Bro?”  It was another sign of their affection to each other.

“She said ‘Yes’,
which I suppose you already know, otherwise you would still be standing outside
in the cold and she just gave me the best news ever.  We’re expecting, big
Bro.  I am going to be a Dad.”

Mason’s joy
sprang into his eyes and he smiled indulgently back at his twin.  He dragged
him back into his arms and said with a laugh.

“Let me start
in similar fashion then, little Bro.”

Tiaan bore
back and stared at Mason, awe in his voice.  “You mean…
you and Brooke?

You’re going to be parents too?”

Mason nodded
and pulled a smiling Brooklyn against his side.  “We decided to wait with the
news until Allison was past her ordeal and said yes to your big question.  How
far along are you, Cuz?”

“Fourteen
weeks.”

“What?  Are
you telling me the two of you, as you would say,
did the hanky panky
on our
wedding day?”

Allison
blushed and Tiaan laughed boisterously, if not proudly.  Allison however read
the message behind Brooklyn’s amazement.

“You too?  You
got pregnant on your wedding night?”

They both
nodded and the twins shone in their pride.

“Now that is
how twins do things, my love. Proudly and in sync with each other.”

Brooklyn and Allison shook their
heads and laughed along with their twins.

Tiaan dragged Allison onto his
lap the moment the limousine pulled away from the curb after the best
engagement party ever.  He kissed her until her toes curled.  She gasped and
whispered furiously in his ear when his hand stole beneath her skirt and
crawled higher between her legs.

Tiaan!
The driver!
  Stop.”

“The privacy
screen is up, my love.  He can’t hear or see a thing.  I need to feel your
heat, baby, hear your desperate cry when you come in my arms.”

Allison’s head
fell back on his shoulder as his fingers gently pried their way beneath her
stretch lace panties.  He stroked his fingertips over her clit, softly at first
until she lifted her hips higher, harder and she moaned into his neck.

“More…I need more.”

He rolled her
clit between his fingers until he felt it swell and harden.  Allison growled at
him as she felt the sweet heat of her release roll over her the moment before
his fingers released her clit.  He chuckled at her, gently pushing two fingers
deep inside her pussy.  He stroked the inner walls until she pumped her hips
desperately against him for more.  He twisted his hand, pumping harder and
deeper, while his thumb rolled and brushed over her clit.  He grit his teeth
when Allison closed her teeth around the strong muscle in his neck.

Her body
tightened and the walls of her pussy contracted hard around his fingers.  He
pumped harder, deeper and stroked her G-spot, relentlessly offering the inner
and outer nubs equal pleasure.  She shattered completely in his arms and he
grunted at the sharp pain, as she bit hard into the muscle between her teeth,
her cry muted around his skin.  Tiaan kept feeding her climax until they
reached the outer edges of the airport where he had left the chopper.  He wrapped
his arms around her, stroking her back and holding her tenderly, while she came
down from the height of her pleasure.

She glanced at
him as he helped her out of the limousine, her smile serene.

“You are a
wicked man, Tiaan Sheppard.”

“And you Miss
Hadley, have damn sharp teeth.”

Allison
blushed at the reminder, but did not apologize for taking a nip on his muscle.
Her smile was devilish.

“You’re a big
boy, Sheppard, I am sure you can handle a little nip.”

“Oh, believe
me, I can, my love. The question is, will you survive the night I have planned
for you?”

“You don’t
scare me, lover boy.”

“I don’t mean
to scare you, baby.  I mean to fuck you into kingdom come tonight.”

Allison
creamed her panties with the promise in his eyes and intent in his voice ringing
in her ears.

Tiaan carried
her upstairs to their bedroom the moment they arrived home.  He sat her down
next to the bed and slowly removed her clothes, caressing and kissing every
inch of skin he uncovered.

Energy sizzled
through him and he could sense that Allison had the same awareness dancing down
her body.  Just looking into those moss green eyes and he knew she too felt the
air charge between them.

Allison felt
the air crackling with sexual tension, she felt it along her arms and legs.  It
was electric, as if this was their first intimate moment.

Tiaan leaned
down to kiss her mouth again, pushing her back onto the bed in the same
motion.  He nipped and tugged on her lips, lathing and soothing the sting with
his tongue afterwards.  Her lips tingled, they singed and awareness sizzled
down her spine.  Awareness that this man knew every inch of her body as if it
was his one. He knew which strings to pull to toss her into sensational
overdrive.  A state she was already rapidly tumbling toward.

He strangled
his hands within the silken strands of her hair, tugging gently, arching her
neck and exposing the tender skin to his mercy.  Allison moaned as his hot
breath tickled the sensitized skin a nanosecond before his hot lips cadenced
blazingly over her throat, nipping and tugging on her skin as he went.

The little
nips were foreign to her, stinging but at the same time uncurling a sensation
of need she could not comprehend.
