POWDERED WHEY
Powdered whey is widely available, with many companies offering their own brands. Companies such as
Biosana (
www.biosana.ch/e/company.html
) and Next Proteins’ Designer Whey
(
www.designerwhey.com
) offer a variety of flavors. For those following a whey cure, it is best to use natural pure whey powder and avoid those products that have additional supplements and flavors (some of which are artificial). Other companies manufacturing or distributing whey powder are ISS Research, Prolab Nutrition, Swanson Premium Brand, EAS, GNC, Twinlab, and Country Life.
SPA WHEY CURES
It is still possible to take the old-fashioned whey cure in Europe. Many spas in the United States and Europe offer whey baths as part of their treatments, but not the whey cure. The principal location still remains the Appenzell region of Switzerland, which is about one hour’s travel time by car or train from Zurich. At least two of the many spas in this region offer traditional whey cures; their contact information is listed here.
