Jeremiah finally let go of her, and she turned and hugged Traci tightly as they both kept crying. When she let go she turned to see Geanie and Joseph standing there, beaming.

“We made it just in time!” Geanie said.

“You knew?” Cindy asked bewildered, as she reached out to hug her as well.

“We had a feeling,” Joseph said right before Jeremiah wrapped him in a bear hug. “We were almost at the campsite when Jeremiah called us. We turned around and drove as fast as we could because we didn’t want to miss this.”

Cindy felt dizzy and out of breath. She couldn’t believe what was happening. After she hugged Joseph both Traci and Geanie grabbed her hand to admire her ring and Cindy found herself staring at it in awe.

“I’ve never seen a heart shaped diamond before!” Traci squealed.

It was breathtaking. And it was hers. Just as Jeremiah was hers. She turned back to look at him and was stunned to see that his cheeks were wet with tears as well. She gave him a quick kiss, reveling in the fact that she could do that in public. Now all the world would know what they meant to each other.

“I have a fiancé,” she said.

“And soon you’ll have a husband, for real,” he said softly.
