“Say, three times your last check?”
But the money would give them a firm standing for a few months.
Looking at Boyd’s saddened face, knowing this money may be able to serve a great purpose for them, maybe a new start elsewhere, anywhere that didn’t have traces of Wes everywhere.. It was a job. A job she could do and then be done with it. Forever.
“Yes, I’ll be there.”
As Lola drove the final time to Olympus she felt her nerves increase. She kept telling herself as if it were her first time again, the people and why they were inside, didn’t matter. All that mattered to her was collecting her big check after six hours.
It’s only six hours Lola. Big check. Boyd. Six hours.
The building was in sight and it might as well had a neon sign flashing “He is in there,” as her nerves jumped tenfold. Parking her jeep and taking a final deep breath, she slowly opened the door and climbed out. Without a second thought, she released the door handle, squared her shoulders and let out the breath.”
She was making her way to the door, when it opened. It was Jax. She was happy to see a familiar face.
“Yo, my girl, how I’ve missed your beautiful face. Come here.” Jax engulfed Lola in a hug, hoping to communicate more than happiness to see her. Knowing Wes has been in such a foul mood the past week, but he was sure it had something to do with the gorgeous female in his arms.
Pulling back from the massive man, Lola sincerely spoke, “Hey Jax. How’s Tawne?”
“Great! Excited to see you, girl.” He looked her over and saw the excessive amount of makeup she used to try to cover up the dark shadows under her eyes as she looked like death warmed over. “You okay?”
“Yes, just got to get this shift over. Thanks, Jax.” She leaned up and kissed his dark cheek. “See you inside.”
“I’ll take you in.”
Jax walked her to the dressing area, where she found her uniform and quickly changed. Tawne greeted her with a hug as well as her mask. Within minutes she walked through the door into Olympus. It looked the same, not that she expected it to look different, but everything seemed different in her life, she assumed this would follow suit.
After quick greetings to some of the familiar faces, the first gong sounded, and she jumped. The members walked in showcasing their feathers and masks proudly. It seemed to Lola there was more of them than the first time she was here; business was apparently booming. Everyone was looking toward the door that was next to open. The gong sounded again, and the procession of Gods made their way in. Last to come in was Wes, as always. It was painful to look at him, but she did. Regardless of how torn she was on the inside, there was no denying how wonderful he looked, so virile and beautiful; a true God sculpture of marble in motion. Lola watched as he ascended the stairs to the mountain. His beautiful strong back flexed with his walking grace.
It was Tawne who gave Lola’s arm a nudge to snap her out of her daze and to get back to work. She tried not to look at the mountain, but found herself unable to stop. Each time she saw him standing off to the side looking out over the night sky, just as he had told her he did. Was she expecting him to lie? What was he thinking about? Was she dominating his mind as he dominated hers? Oh how she wanted to run to him, but what would she say? How could they fix it? He said he was willing to give it up for her? But would he? Was she enough to make him satisfied on every level? Oh how she hoped she was.
Several minutes had passed as thoughts of what a terrible mistake she had made controlled her mind. When she looked at the mountain, but Wes was no longer there. The tiny twitch of unease in her belly began to make its presence known. She changed vantage points, crossed invisible lines and even was so bold as to step on the stairs to the mountain. That is when she noticed to her left the threesome walking into the tunnel. Her breath froze, her heart dropped and she felt her voice die in her throat.
She would know that back and those pants anywhere. If his height didn’t give him away, his gait definitely did. Just as she knew who was with him. Those stockings were a dead giveaway on his right, but on his left, it didn’t matter who the simple pearled thong belonged to. Nausea came over her as the room started to spin. She was seconds away from spewing. Dropping the tray with a thud, she took off to the changing room to grab her bag. As she headed toward the exit, she ripped the mask off and tossed it with disgust.
She needed air.
She needed to purge herself of the pain and agony.
She needed to shed the despair that was riddling her body; rid the rivers flowing from her gray eyes.
She needed privacy to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart; the same heart engraved with Wes Thompson.
Running through the darkened halls, Lola didn’t see the figure hiding in the shadows of Olympus.
“Diakonos! Leaving so soon?” His hand shot out and grabbed on hard.
Without even seeing him, she knew that voice anywhere. The sneer behind the mask. . . the venom from the mouth of poison. Everything became so clear; he was the one who wrote the notes.
Absolute fear had caused no sound to come from her scream.
“For a no good piece of white trash bartender, you certainly know how to fuck things up don’t you?” Lycus spoke low as he placed his palm around her chin so both his thumb and fingers on both sides of her mouth held firm.
“FUCK…YOU!” as her eyes locked down on his.
“Oh is that an offer, because I am more than willing to take what you are offering. You’ve caused me quite a bit of difficulty, taking a turn at fucking the shit out of you might be just the right start to the bounty I have coming toward me.”
Lola’s stomach rolled. She needed the one person who would protect her, who would save her from this vial piece of shit, “WES!”
“Oh, he can’t hear you. Did you forget where your Wes is right now?” Pointing in a general direction down the hall, “He’s in there getting his cum sucked off, while you’re out here, with me.”
The bile rose in her throat.
“Oh please, Diakonos, don’t look so surprised. It took me a while to figure out what was so special about you, that Adonis was so willing to change all his rules. It wasn’t until I purposely mentioned you and not only recognition registered with him, but something else, something tender. I think Adonis’ time on the mountain is up and I think I’m just the God that will bring him down. But you see, he’s gone and removed me from the board. So unless I can prove he broke the very rules he says he is so critical to enforce, I’m fucked.
Leaning in close, with his dirty stale smelling mouth touching hers, he said, “Did you like my notes? I’m curious if Adonis was brave enough to use his shackles on you? Do you know how turned on he gets when you are literally chained to the floor or the wall. Did he share that with you Diakonos? It has always been his secret, most people are okay with fabric restraints, but bring out the hardcore metal chains and things get a little more risqué than people are willing to bargain for. But our mutual friend has always been good with keeping his dirty little secrets. And you are his dirtiest dirty secret he has ever had, he didn’t even tell me. Who would have thought an unloved child turned into self-sufficient bartender raising her handicap brother can find love with a God?”
The pleasure he got from watching her fear rivaled only his greatest turn-ons. He got off on his words hurting her, and the tears falling down her cheeks. “Hey if you are looking for a willing dick, I’m more than happy to give you mine.”
She squeezed her eyes shut so not to have to look into his evil eyes. She concentrated on her breathing instead of the stomach turning smell and images of his disgusting dick anywhere near her mouth or body. He made her feel cheap like she was lesser than him. She was lesser than them all, including the man she was too afraid to tell she fell in love with. “I’m curious did he pay you to satisfy him? I’d be willing to do that. You want a condo? You want the pretty clothes. You want to be more in our class, I’m happy to exchange a couple of hundreds and a mortgage payment for your mouth on my dick. What do you think of that?”
Too much, this was too much. With all the fear in her body, she spit in his face and lift her knee, connecting to his groin. He held strong, and she should have known the punch was coming from his beefy closed fist. It connected with a thud. Dazed but with enough adrenaline, she used the spike of her stiletto, Lola rammed her foot down on his, pushed him away and ran like hell; never looking back to see if he was in pursuit. She reached the safety of her Jeep, wanting to go to the only person she felt safe with, but HE wasn’t there waiting for her.
What the hell was he doing? Here of all places, with people of his own mindset, people willing to do anything for a fuck. He thought coming to Olympus would help his brain process his broken heart, but all it has done is prove what he truly lost. Even as he had a willing female ready for penetration, chained in the position he always went for and another perched to watch, he couldn’t bring himself to do this.
“This is a mistake.” He said, quickly putting his pants back in place.
“What? What’s wrong Adonis?” came from the blonde member, chained to the floor.
Speaking more to himself, he spoke softly, “I need to get out of here.”
He walked to the door but before he could open in, Gitta spoke, in her thick German accent with a sly smile on her mouth, “I think it is too late for that, Adonis.”
“What did you say, Nyx?”
She sneered at the man that banned her lover, “I said it may be too late, the damage may already be done.” The sadistic dominatrix said to him before turning on the undefended willing member.
Not wanting to wait for an explanation, Wes left the room, quickly making his way out of the tunnel, walking past the mountain, and into his changing room, where Jax followed him.
“Adonis!” No response. “Wes! What the fuck is going on?
“Not now, Jax!”
“Fuck this shit! I don’t give a fuck if I lose my job. You my friend would do that to that sweet thing?”
Feeling venom run through his veins, Wes lashed out, “I didn’t do jack shit. Besides, that is what us insane fucks do, don’t you know that by now. We pay to be fucked and tortured, anything to get our rocks off. The member consented. I just lost my taste for it.” Wes explained as he quickly changed into his street clothes.
“You have got to be one of the dumbest mother fuckers I’ve ever met.”
Wes turned with all the fury he possessed on the man he called friend, “What did you say?”
Not backing down, even if that meant ending twenty years of knowing your back was covered. Not to mention the insane amount of cash flowing into his pocket, Jax got right up into Wes’ face as he spelled it out clearly for the man, “Lola saw you in the tunnel being Adonis. Why the fuck are you even here when you have Lola out there? She quickly hightailed it out of here.” Seeing confusion cross his friends face, but not caring, “Like I said, dumbest mother fucker I’ve ever met.” Jax began to walk away, when Wes’ arm shot out, grabbing onto his massive forearm.
The floor disappeared below his feet.“What? Lola was here?”
“Yeah, Sherlock, Gitta called her in.” Jax said waving his hand at his old friend and leaving him alone.
Gitta!
Wes ran from the room, toward the exit, where he found Trey. All his pent up frustration and panic, unloaded, “You stupid fuck! What did you do?” Grabbing the burly man by his shirt, Wes slammed him against the corridor wall.
“Paybacks a bitch, Wes! You think you can take Olympus away from me without some retribution, you really do have your head up your ass.”
Saying as coldly as he felt, “What did you do to her?”
“Who? The Diakonos you’ve been willingly fucking? That piece of white trash ass? All I did was remind her where her place is.”
Wes rammed his fist into Trey’s mouth, causing blood to spew from him. He connected again with his cheek, and finally with the other cheek, where the former God slid to the ground in pain.
“You think my banning you from Olympus was worth going after her, you are stupider than I gave you credit for. I will destroy you, personally, publicly and financially, regardless of the fallout or repercussions. You fucked with the wrong man, friend.”
