“I learned my lesson, Keyes. I’m not taking anything for granted.”

“We might have to convince Mr. Todd it’s okay. He’s been asking me when you’re going to make an honest woman of me.”

“Maybe we should talk about that before I go back to Philly.” He took her hand and headed to the steps. “But right now, I have this urge to watch the river from your bed.”

They made it upstairs in seconds. His suitcase didn’t get there until the next morning.
