"Anyway, so if all that was going on, why you play a nigga to the left when I was tryin' to get at you?"

"'Cause I found out I was pregnant."

"Straight? What happened?"

"I lost it." Mo sighed, putting her head down.

"Ah uh, look up when you're talkin' to me." Boss lifted her head. "You don't have to be ashamed around me. I got you, ma."

"It was my fourth miscarriage in nine years. She was supposed to make it. I made it all the way to five and half months before she died. We were going to name her Heaven." Mo choked back the tears that wanted to escape. "So ... needless to say, I can't have kids. My body is just too weak to carry one."

"Come here, doll face." Boss tried to pull her close.

"Nah, I'm fine." Mo pulled away.

"Come here," he demanded, with a little more bass in his voice.

Doing as she was told, Mo fell into his awaiting arms. Boss wrapped her up in his arms tight then gently placed kisses on her forehead and eyes. Tears slipped down Mo's face as she thought how funny life was. Here she had just had experienced one of the best moments in her life, and now in a matter of seconds she was sitting in Boss' arms crying over the worst.

"I'm sorry." She wiped her face with the back of her hand, embarrassed. Mo thought that she had dealt with the death of Heaven. "I didn't mean to fuck up the mood."

"Yo." Boss made her face him. "Don't ever apologize for your feelings. If you need to cry, let that shit out. I ain't gon' look at you no different. I told you you're mine and the sooner you realize that, the better off we'll both be. I ain't going nowhere. You the one who keep tryin' to put things on hold.

I'm here to stay, ma. You're safe with me. You can relax now.

Let your guard down. Forget all the bullshit that nigga put you through and open your heart." Mo desperately wanted to oblige Boss' request and fully let go, but in her mind everything he was saying was way too good to be true. Quan had said and done all the same things in the beginning, too. How could she possibly go on his word and trust Boss so easily? She couldn't, at least not yet.

Things were moving way too fast anyway. She wasn't supposed to have feelings for another man this quick. This was the time in her life when she was supposed to be independent and carefree, not tied down to some twenty-year-old boy who could possibly rip her heart into shreds at any minute.

"God knows I wanna trust you, Boss, I do, but I don't know how I can when all my life I've been hurt by men. First it was my father, then it was Quan. My heart couldn't take it if it happened again with you."

"Don't you understand that I got you? Shorty, every breath I breathe is for you. Every time you laugh, I drink in your smile. You're the only woman I want. All I see is you, ma." "I feel the same way, too, but I'm just scared. I don't wanna be hurt again," Mo replied truthfully.

"Shorty, I would die before I hurt you. On the real, you got a better chance at hurting me before I hurt you. Forget all the trials and tribulations in your life. Stop living in the past. You wit me now. Shit, I done been put my feelings out on the line, now a nigga just waiting for you to do the same." After a week of nothing but non-stop mind-blowing sex, Mo was able to sneak off and go to the shop. Boss was still at her house knocked out, asleep. He looked so peaceful she didn't want to wake him. Plus, Mo knew if she did anything other than get her hair done, she'd be somewhere with her legs wrapped around his back screaming his name. Every time he looked at her a certain way, they had sex. Mo couldn't stay off his dick.

She swore that the thick ten inches of pulsating heaven would be the death of her. And the fact that he could make her cum with his dick was spellbinding. Mina and Delicious were right. There was such a thing as Chocolate Cocaine. Boss' pipe game was so good that Mo equated his dick to heroin. She was hooked. The dude would have her screaming, begging, convulsing and shaking all at the same time.

She needed a moment to herself to recuperate after the beating he'd put on her pussy. With a limp in her stride, she held her hand on her hip and entered the salon one step at a time. It was a Saturday so the shop was packed. Approximately twenty customers were waiting to get their wig fried, died and laid to the side.

"What's wrong wit you?" Mina asked with a concerned look on her face as soon as she walked through the door.

"We made up, girl." Mo winced in slight pain.

"Ah uh, you mean to tell me that you finally gave that boy some?" she questioned, excited.

"Girl, yeah, and now my ass can barely walk." Mo carefully eased down into a salon chair. "Everything on my body hurts. I think I need to sit in a tub of Epsom salt."

"Umm ... it look like he worked you over," Delicious chimed in, looking her up and down. "Where that lil' nigga at?

I wanna be sore, too."

"Delicious, don't make me kick yo' ass."

"Shit, I'm for real,
gurl
."

"Anyway, do you have any aspirin? I need to take something."

"Yeah, gurl, I got some Motrin in my purse," he responded, arching a client's eyebrows.

Mo grabbed Delicious' man bag and rummaged around until she ran across a box of Summer's Eve feminine douche.

"Delicious, what in the hell is you doing wit a douche in your purse?" she asked, holding it up for everyone to see.

"What? Y'all bitches need to douche y'all pussy. I need to douche my--"

"Oh my God, nevermind!" Mo declared, cutting him off.

She was so flabbergasted by his response that she gave him his purse back without getting the aspirin.

"
Any who
." He pursed his lips. "Tell me,
gurl
, did he have you callin' him daddy?"

"I called him more than daddy. If I remember correctly, pappy, massa and poppi were thrown out a few times as well."

"That's what I'm talkin' about!" Delicious clapped his hands. "Get it, Boss! I knew that lil' killa was gon' put it down!"

"Delicious ... that man did more than put it down. That lil' nigga had me up there cryin', you hear me. I can't believe I went almost ten years without experiencing what I felt these past couple of days."

"I told you,
gurl
. These young tenders ain't no joke. Them lil' niggas can go for days. Why you think I fuck wit Ra'heem?

Sure he's fine and all but
ba-by
when Chocolate Cocaine come out, it's a wrap! That lil' daddy be having a diva legs going every which-a-way! I be doing cartwheels and splits and shit."

"Okay, now you're exaggerating, that's enough," Mo said, disgusted.

"Ah uh, rudeness! This hoe done got some dick that's worth talkin' about and don't know how ta act. You ain't the only one getting broke off properly, Mo. I can take a big dick, too." Delicious crossed his legs and gave her three snaps in a circle.

"Aghh, whateva."

"Yeah, whateva! All that," he twirled his finger in her face "was for you. All that."

"What I wanna know is did he make you stutter?" one of the stylists, Tiffany, interrupted. "'Cause that's the true sign of some fire dick."

"Yes, girl. I was stuttering, my lips were shivering and shaking. I ain't know what to do with myself."

"Alright Boss! That nigga had you like I-I-I-I-I-I-I BE BUGGIN' 'CAUSE ALL THESE FAKE THUGS IS TRYIN' TO PRESS

UP! I NEED A BOSS LIKE HEY! HEY HEY! HEY!" Delicious sang jokingly.

"You're real ignorant but you're right." Mo cracked up and laughed.

"I know I am. Where lil' Harry Potter at now?"

"At my house, ignorant ass."

"Oh, we doing sleepovers already?" Mina arched her eyebrow. "The dick must have been good."

"Okay ... look the dick was good, yes. I can't even lie, but just because I had a couple of orgasms don't mean that I'm fallin' in love."

"A couple? Girl, I think I'm in love." Delicious pretended to faint.

"What I want to know is who said anything about love? Did you say something about love?" Mina asked Delicious.

"Nope."

"Did you, Tiffany?"

"Ah uh."

"'Cause, ah, I sure didn't."

"Whateva." Mo rolled her eyes.

"It's okay, Mo. You can like Boss."

"It's obvious that I like him. We all know that. I just don't want y'all or him for that matter to think that it's more than that. 'Cause it's not. He's cool, but ah uh," she tried to convince herself.

"Okay, Mo! We'll all pretend that you don't looove Boss," Mina joked.

"I hate you," Mo responded as her Sidekick began to ring.

"Hold up, this my boo now. What up, playboy?" She beamed with a smile.

"Where you at?" He spoke deep into the phone.

"At the shop. Why?"

"Why you ain't wake me before you left?"

"You know why." She giggled.

"Man, please, wasn't nobody gon' mess wit you."

"Yeah right, Boss. I left you a note though."

"I got it, but ay?"

"What's up?"

"Do me a favor."

"Anything," she whispered.

"Step outside for a minute."

Excited, Mo turned around in her seat and spotted Boss sitting outside in his black BMW M6 Coupe, talking on his cell phone. He was looking directly at her. Mo couldn't even hide the smile that had spread a mile wide on her face as she gazed into his eyes. Every time she saw Boss, her face lit up.

"You gon' get enough of surprising me." She beamed, getting up.

"Just hang up and come outside." He hung up.

"Mo! Introduce me please!" Delicious begged, running his hands across his clothes and hair.

"Delicious, if you don't sit yo' happy ass down. That meat outside is all mine."

"Quit being stingy
gurl
and share the beef!" he yelled as she walked outside.

The limp in Mo's strut miraculously disappeared as she walked seductively to Boss' car in a pair of super-tight House of Dereon jeans. Parked in a No Parking zone, he sat in his Coupe blasting Shyne's reggae-enthused classic, "
Bad Boyz
." His boy Grizz was in the passenger seat while BK sat in the back. As usual, Mo could barely see Boss' eyes. They were covered by a black White Sox cap. He was sure to get a ticket but Boss didn't care. Just to see Mo's face he'd take the risk.

Besides, he and his boo had some business to take care of.

"Boss, don't you realize you're parked in a No Parking zone?"

"Yeah I know, it's cool." He hopped out in a black Sedgwick & Cedar T-shirt, black baggy jeans and Gucci sneakers. A black leather belt with an iced out skull head held up his pants.

"You're crazy." She grinned, hugging him around the neck.

"I know. You look good, ma." He pulled her close by the butt and pressed his dick on her crotch so she could feel how hard he was. "Umm, and you smell good. Mommy, you got my dick harder than a jawbreaker right now."

"Haven't you got enough?"

"Nah, so hurry up and get your hair done 'cause by noon I'ma wanna hit that again." He smacked her ass.

"You are so nasty."

"You like it."

"I know," Mo agreed as pedestrians walking down the street eyed them.

"Ay yo, Boss, we better head out, I see a police car coming up the street!" Grizz announced from inside the car. "You know a nigga got warrants!"

"A'ight, here I come. Yo, I brought you something." Boss went into his pocket and pulled out a red velvet box.

"What's this?" she asked, surprised.

"Open it and find out."

Mo anxiously opened the box and found the cutest diamond necklace. It was a small circle pendant encrusted with diamonds designed by Neil Lane. There was nothing complex or overdone about it. The necklace was the simplest, most ele-gant piece of jewelry she'd ever seen.

"Thank you," she said, kissing his lips. "It's beautiful."

"You know if you torque something a little later you can get more," he joked.

"A'ight, I got you, but you better come wit it."

"Oh I got it, just don't be scurred."

"I won't."

"Well let me get up outta here," Boss continued, really not wanting to leave.

"Okay," Mo said, sad to see him go.

"Oh, but ay, I forgot to tell you. I'm renting out the entire upstairs tonight at Dreams. You wanna roll wit me or you gon' drive yourself?"

"I'ma drive myself, I got a lot to do today."

"A'ight, lil' mama, I'ma see you later."

"Bye y'all." She waved.

"A'ight Mo," his two friends replied back.

"Be good, man." Boss sensually kissed her lips.

"I will." She stepped back as he got into the car.

Turning up the volume on his car stereo, Boss, with lust in his eyes, gave Mo one last look, winked his eye and sped off.
