“Where are you? You seem so far from me right now. What’s on your mind?” He’s waving his hand in front of my face as if to wake me up.

“I must have been lost in my thoughts,” I quickly reply before adding, “I must still be jetlagged.”

We arrive at Betony,
which was named Restaurant of the Year a few years ago by Esquire magazine, and as usual, it’s buzzing with stylish and attractive New Yorkers looking for incredible food.

“Is this your first time here?” The waiter is already busy making sure we enjoy our experience.

“Yes. I’ve wanted to come each time I’m in New York, but never seemed to make it.” Bryce has already answered and he assumes I’ve never been to Betony.

“Actually, I’ve been here a few times,” I gently correct him. “My sister is a lighting designer and she designed the lighting here. We were here for your opening and we’ve come back a few times because she loves the food.”

“Wow! Your sister designed our lighting? I’ve only been here a few months, but everyone keeps talking about our lighting and the creative designer behind the cool look.” The waiter is nearly as excited as if I had told him my cousin was Jennifer Lopez.

He takes our drink and food order and turns on his heel after confessing that he’s going to have to tell the owners about me.

“Wow, you’re a mini-celebrity now.” Bryce sounds impressed as he admires the lights Ciara designed.

“You have it all wrong. My sister is the creative one. Since we both like this place, we keep coming back. She’s designed lighting for many restaurants and locations in New York, but there are only a few where she goes back. New York is a place to be seen rather than to eat good food. Growing up in Europe for a few years transformed our appreciation of food. That’s why my sister and I love discovering little unassuming eateries where the fashionista would never be caught dead. Betony is the rare exception where style and food perfectly collide.”

“Maybe I’ll have to call on your sister when I buy my New York abode. If she’s that good, I might have to hire her to help us with our own lighting design.”

I immediately regret going on so much about Ciara. I love my sister, I truly do, but she leaves men weak in the knees and I’ve never met a man who hasn’t succumbed to her charms.

He must have noticed my uneasiness and grabs my hand to comfort me.

“Sofia, we had this discussion in Paris. You let your sister’s beauty and success overshadow yours.”

Success? I don’t know if Ciara would see me as successful—I lost my company to a fraudster I took on as a partner, then I took on a job as an escort to stay afloat and I’ve become the main squeeze of one of the richest man in America because he pays for my services.

“I think my sister and I has a different definition of success.” I omit what I’m really thinking. Bryce doesn’t have to deal with my drama.

He looks at me with a grave look that says much.

“You underestimate yourself.”

“I’m sorry. That came out wrong. I agree. I do feel intimidated by my sister’s beauty, smarts, perfect body, talent, creativity and her ability to get any man on this planet to fall head over heels for her.”

“Any man on the planet? I’m sure I can tame this man-eater you keep talking about,” he says, as he tenderly caresses my cheek.

I feel so foolish for worrying about Bryce falling for Ciara, but I just can’t help it. The minute our waiter comes back with our drinks I’m able to relax and brush off this idea that Bryce would also be one of the men to worship my sister.

“I’m sure a great meal will help you forget all about your sister.”

“I’m sure you’re right. Betony never disappoints.”

I feast on roasted chicken accompanied by chanterelle mushrooms served with grilled peaches, while Bryce enjoys a traditional steak frites. For dessert, I indulge in a rose infused peach ice cream served with pistachio
macaron
cookies, while Bryce savors his chocolate and hazelnut parfait topped with raspberries. Our lunch at Betony is irreproachable, the service is truly enjoyable and I’m no longer troubled by my insecurities.

In the elevator back to his room, Bryce makes his intention quite clear and startles me with his frankness.

He corners me in the elevator, kisses my lips hard, looks at his Cartier watch and announces, “I have to leave here in precisely twenty-five minutes and I intend on fucking you before I leave so you’ll remember my cock pounding you for the next two days until it’s back inside you.”

I match his gaze and smile in agreement.

The second the door to his room shuts behind us, he turns me around, unbuttons my jacket and slips it off before crushing my lips with his.

He unhooks my purple lace bra and cups both of my breasts with his warm hands. He traces a sensual line from my nipples to my shoulder and without warning abruptly turns me around so I face the wall. He bites my shoulder before yanking up my pencil skirt, and I’m immediately reminded about our first night in his hotel room.

His hands gently caress my tights and my butt as he kisses the back of my neck.

“I love when you kiss the back of my neck.”

“That’s just an appetizer, Sofia.”

“You don’t say. So there’s more?”

“I’m going to fuck you slow at first and then hard,” he whispers those words as he rubs his cock to get ready to ravish me from behind.

He holds on to my hips and forces me to curve my butt upwards. He pulls my matching purple lace panties to the side and enters me without mercy. He rocks inside me slowly at first before picking up speed as he pounds me harder and harder.

“Oh God, your cock is going to be the end of me.”

He fits so perfectly inside me and I let out a fervent gasp as I hold on to the wall to steady myself against his passionate eagerness.

He slips his hand onto my hard nub and rubs it rhythmically to follow each thrust.

We grind against each other until my body quivers before I start to shake. At the same time, he squeezes my hips tighter and his legs tremble underneath us.

“Christ,” he groans loudly. He pulls my hair back to reach my lips as he climaxes inside me.

He exhales sweet hot breaths into my mouth before kissing my lips hard. It’s as if he’s ready for a second steamy romp before he catches his flight.

I don’t want him to leave, but I know I can’t ask him to stay longer or force him to take me with him. He turns me around so I can face him and gently brushes the hair off my face as he softly kisses the tip of my nose.

“I have to go. I’ll miss being inside you and sleeping next to you, but business calls and I have to go check on my CFO Derek to make sure he recovers from this heart attack.”

“I wish you didn’t have to go.”

He smiles at the hint of concern in my voice. “I won’t be gone for long, baby. You won’t even have time to miss me.”

“Yes, I will.”

“Good, because I’ll miss you like crazy.”

“I hope your CFO recovers quickly.”

“He’s going to be fine. He’s a tough, hard-headed Texan and I’m sure he’ll pull through. As for us, I’ll text you and I’ll call to hear your voice every single day. I should only be gone for a few days. Since you’ve been glued to me for nine solid days now, I’m sure you’ll welcome the break.”

I can’t believe I’ve spent nine days with Bryce and now he has to leave.

“Be good while I’m gone. Since it’s only for a few days, I’m sure Todd won’t have a chance to book any other clients for you during the time I’m gone. I’ll make sure to leave enough money to take care of your needs while I’m away. I can’t stand the thought of another man touching you or fucking you, Sofia.” He nearly spits those last words.

“I’ll be here waiting for you, Bryce.”

Chapter 2

I arrive back at my New York home exhausted and utterly elated. I’ve spent a dreamy week in one of the most beautiful cities in the world alongside one of the richest men in the world. The Mandarin Oriental was one of the most beautiful hotels I had ever stayed at, but I’m glad to be home. When my grandparents died, Ciara bought the brownstone they had rented for decades. My dad’s parents had worked their entire lives to support six kids and they never had enough to buy their own home. The only reason they were able to rent such a big house on their blue-collar salaries was because my grandmother worked as a housekeeper for a wealthy family that owned a huge chuck on New York’s real estate market. Ciara’s booming business allowed us to keep this small part of our heritage and I was able to leave my own rented apartment and move in. Ciara’s team of creative talent has transformed the dated three-story house into a beautiful modern abode I called home.

He’s fallen for me! I can’t believe he actually feels this way about me.

I’ll miss Bryce, but I’ll take advantage of the next few days to go to the spa and get my place cleaned. What a treat to hire a cleaning lady to help. I’ll also have to spend a few hours making room in my closet for all this new European fashion.

Is that my phone? Where did I put it? Oh, there it is. God, I just missed Ciara. Crap, I can’t believe how many messages she’s left. I’d better call her.

“I’m sorry I missed your call.”

“Hey, sis! Where have you been? You’ve not been responding to my text messages, and I dropped by the other day when you said you weren’t feeling well and no one was home. What’s up, Sofia?”

Ciara always cuts to the chase.

“Hey, baby sis. How are you? Thanks for checking up on me. Yeah, um, I wasn’t feeling well for a few days, but I had to get better quickly because my client wanted me to fly to Paris with him for a few deals he was trying to close,” I reply in the most confident voice I can muster up.

“Paris? You were in Paris and didn’t tell me? Wow, so this new contract is working out well for you. You’re working on their translations?”

“Um, something along those lines. The client doesn’t speak any French and had some big clients to impress.” I nearly believe my own semi-lie.

“Awesome. I love Paris and miss it so much. Who’s your client again?”

My blood nearly freezes when Ciara asks that question. I’m so afraid she’ll start doing Google searches about Bryce and his company, but I’m mostly afraid she’ll start asking too many questions and that she’ll see right through my lies.

“Linden Corp. Their head office is in Silicon Valley.”

“Right. How did you get this contract again?” She sounds very suspicious, but I play along.

“One of my former employees worked with the owner in the past and she referred me when she found out he needed someone who spoke multiple languages,” I reply nervously.

I veer the topic back to Ciara to get out of this uncomfortable conversation.

“I was at Betony for a business lunch with my client earlier today. You did an outstanding job with that place.”

“Thanks, sis. I’m so proud of those light fixtures. And you’re right, you can’t beat the food at Betony.”

“My client was impressed with your work,” I say to flatter her.

“I’m pleased he likes the lighting there. You said he has offices in Silicon Valley. If he’s flying you to Paris to close deals, maybe their Cali offices need a new facelift?”

Ciara was never one to miss out on a potential business deal—or the opportunity to seduce a man.

“Great idea. I’ll ask and let you know,” I reply with feigned excitement.

“Listen, I have to go. I called because I was worried and some of the things you told me a few days ago about this contract didn’t compute. I’m just being a concerned sister. I love you, Sof. If you need money, tell me. I have plenty to share with you. We’re family.”

My heart jumps at her words. She doesn’t fully believe the story I concocted to hide the real nature of my work with Bryce.

“Thanks, Ci. I appreciate your concern and offer of money, but I’m fine. This is a great opportunity for me and I get to use my language skills. I love you too.” I feel so guilty about not being able to tell Ciara the truth, but I’d rather die than confess. Actually, she’d kill me first and then I’d die of embarrassment.

My first day back home is far more tiring than I thought. After spending the entire day playing catch-up and running around, I’m awfully tired and my body is begging for a good night’s sleep. I end my long and busy day with a hot, soothing bath. I’m still walking around my place in my robe while towel-drying my hair when my work phone rings.

“How was your day and did you miss me?”

“Bryce, I’m happy to hear from you. I had a good day, and you?” I’m trying hard to contain how utterly excited I am about the fact that he’s been thinking of me.

“I’m back home and I was sitting in my office working when I got completely distracted by the thought of your perfect lips wrapped around my hard cock.”

His answer arouses me and my body instantly yearns for his touch. It’s obvious Bryce is in the mood for some naughty play tonight and all of sudden my fatigue dissipates and I’m in the mood to play.

“You like it when I take you into my mouth?”

“Like it? What an understatement. You should have a PhD in cocksucking because you’re that good at it.”

“The only reason I’m good at it is because your juicy cock fits so well in my mouth.”

“I love how you allow my penis to touch the back of your throat. Mmmm, that always feels freaking amazing,” he moans. “What are you wearing, Sofia?”

“I just finished taking a long hot bath and I’m totally naked under my robe. It’s too bad you’re not close by or else I could show you,” I reply suggestively.

“Stop it, you’re giving me a hard-on.”

“I thought you already had the hard-on before you picked up the phone to call me.”

“You’re an evil woman, Sofia.”

“Pull it out and rub it.”

“Are you trying to have your way with me?”

“Just pull it out, Bryce,” I gently command.

He’s silent for a few seconds, but I can hear him breathing heavily.

“I want to fuck you so badly now. Stroking my cock feels good, but not as good as pounding you.”

“I want nothing more than for you to fuck me, but instead I’ll have to sit here and continue playing with myself,” I say, as I undo the belt that secures my robe. I move to the couch in my office where I sit with my legs open as I play with my juices. I’m so incredibly turned on right now, and it has been quite a while since I’ve had such hot phone sex with a guy.
