She forgot to worry about her belly. She forgot to
worry about the kids. She let go of everything but the feel of his hand,
tormenting her aching flesh. When his mouth latched onto her nipple, she
grabbed his shoulders and threw her head back with a cry.

“Shhh,” Jack said, lifting his head from her breast
and grinning.

He slid his finger out of her and pulled his hand out
of her pants. Before she could cry out in frustration, he pushed her pants and
panties down to her ankles and bent her over the table she used to fold
laundry. She heard him pull down his zipper and then felt the head of his cock
press against her opening.

“God, Chrissy. I love you.”

With one smooth motion, he thrust inside her, filling
her.

The angle was wrong. He was too deep, and it was
almost painful. Almost. She didn’t care. She lifted her chest off the table,
propping herself up on her elbows. With each thrust, her breasts swung and her
nipples grazed the table top. She tipped her hips so her swollen clit pressed
against the edge of the table. Each time he slid his cock into her, he ground
her clit into the table.

He thrust into her, their flesh slapping against each
other, and she felt the pressure start to build. God, the steady grinding
pressure on her clit and the way his cock hit deep inside her, his balls
slapping against her swollen lips felt perfect. She felt him everywhere. She
let herself go, giving into the pleasure, everything building together.

He groaned and shuddered, and she felt him pulsing
with his climax deep inside her. Fighting to hide her disappointment, she
leaned back to kiss him. Jack wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled her neck.

“I love you so much,” he murmured against her skin,
sounding completely sated.

“I love you, too.” And she did, she just wished for
once she could be as satisfied as he was after they made love.

“Dad, not that one. Shoot the other one!” Ethan
bounced on the couch beside him, forgetting himself sometimes and reaching over
Jack for the game controller. On the screen, three giant robots battled each
other. His daughters were pummeling him, and his son was trying desperately to
redeem their gender.

The kids had been happy to see him and even happier
when he’d agreed to play Clash of the Robot Titans with them. It was nothing
compared to how he felt. He was so grateful to be home safe with his family
intact. Today had been two close calls.

Making love with Christine had been exactly what he
needed. Wrapping himself in all her soft warmth felt like coming home. She’d
been into it, too. He could always tell by how wet she got and the way her
pussy lips swelled. Too bad she couldn’t have an orgasm.

Before he finished the thought, he stopped himself and
started to wonder. He’d gotten so used to thinking Christine couldn’t have an
orgasm; he’d stopped trying. How stupid was that? She could have an orgasm when
she masturbated. Early in their marriage he’d seen her do it. It suddenly
struck him how frustrating it must be for her to get all worked up and then
have everything stop before she came. No wonder she didn’t want to have sex
more often. It would be like choosing to deliberately be frustrated, and he
knew all about that.

God, he’d been such a selfish idiot. If he’d gone home
with Olivia today, he’d have made sure she had an orgasm. He’d at least have
gone down on her. He wouldn’t have left her until he was sure she came. It
would have been a point of pride to have her naked, trembling with pleasure and
crying out his name. So why did he settle for less with the woman he loved?

The realization that Christine might not be the only
one responsible for their crappy sex life didn’t sit well with him.

“Beat your sisters, Ethan. Redeem me.” Jack handed the
game controller to his son and stalked to the kitchen determined to redeem
himself.

Christine used her foot to turn the tap, and hot water
rushed into the cooling bathwater. Thank God for instant hot water heaters.
Bubbles covered the surface of the water and draped her full breasts. She
closed her eyes and breathed in the toasted sugar scent. Jack and the kids had
given her the bath stuff in her stocking for Christmas, but she rarely indulged
in using them.

After they finished making love, she’d told Jack she
wanted to grab a quick shower. He insisted she relax and take a bath.

Buoyant in a tub full of warm water and yummy scented
bubbles was bliss. Why didn’t she do this more often? Right on the heels of
that thought came a list of all the other things she didn’t do to take care of
herself.

She’d gotten so used to pulling her hair back into a
ponytail, she barely brushed it. Jack looked so good in his suits—masculine,
virile and fit, but he came home to a woman in stained sweats and no makeup.
Jesus, she hardly ever shaved her legs anymore.  The hair was very fine, and
she’d convinced herself it wasn’t noticeable. The beautiful women in Jack’s
office shaved their legs. They might even shave more than their legs. She’d
read in the novels she liked about women who shaved their pussies bare. They
even talked about it on Sex in the City, but she’d never tried it.

If she was honest with herself, she didn’t try much of
anything. No wonder Jack would rather masturbate in the shower than have sex
with her. How could he possibly be interested in her? She didn’t pay any
attention to herself anymore. And what’s worse, she’d used taking care of the
kids and her volunteer causes as a way to martyr herself.

I don’t have time to get a haircut. I’m too busy
with more important things.

When all she’d really been doing was hiding herself.
Hiding who she was. Hiding her sexuality. She’d buried herself under a big pile
of stained clothes, bad hair and obligations. It was hardly surprising Jack
wasn’t attracted to her anymore.

Except he had been today. She sat up careful not to
slosh the water out of the tub. The soap suds slid off her breasts revealing
inch after inch of creamy skin. She watched to bubbles slide off the rosy peaks
of her nipples and flashed back to the feeling of Jack suckling her flesh deep
into his mouth. It felt so good, better than her hands ever felt.

And he’d wanted her. She’d felt it in his touch. Maybe
if she put a little effort into it and made herself more available, he’d chose
her over the shower.

She flipped the drain open to let some of the water
out and reached for her razor. She couldn’t lose twenty pounds this afternoon,
but she could do something to make herself feel sexier. She slid the razor
along her soap slicked leg, careful not to knick the skin around her knee.
Stroking her hand over the smooth skin, she felt embarrassed again that shaving
her legs had become such a rare occurrence.

She made quick work of shaving the other leg. The skin
on her legs was so sensitive now. Maybe anywhere she shaved would be more
sensitive. She let a little more water out of the tub and watched as her glossy
dark pubic hair broke through the bubbles. She fingered the wiry curls with one
hand and held the razor in the other. She didn’t have the nerve to go totally
bare. She couldn’t stand it if Jack rejected her. What if he thought she was
like that lady in Fried Green Tomatoes who talked about wrapping herself in
plastic wrap? She shuddered and chewed on her bottom lip. Not bare, but maybe
she could give herself a trim.

Putting her palm over her pussy, she pulled the skin
tight and carefully slid the razor along her bikini line. It took a couple of
passes with the razor on each side, but soon her skin was smooth. She shifted
her hips and peered over the soft mound of her belly to survey the results. She
still had hair down there, but now it looked groomed.

She ran her finger along her newly bare skin. It was
more sensitive. She was still worked up from when she and Jack made love, and
cupping her pussy while she shaved had only added to the sensation. Using two
fingers, she stroked her swollen clit. Her own slick heat felt different—silkier—than
her water slicked skin.

She hadn’t heard any loud noises coming from
downstairs. There really wasn’t any reason for her to get out of the tub.
Smiling to herself, she rinsed the old soap suds down the drain and refilled
the tub, grateful again for the instant water heater. Sinking back into the
water, she slid two fingers deep inside herself and started to stroke.

~~~~~
Jack carried a plate with cheese and sliced pears in
one hand and a bottle of chardonnay and two glasses in the other.
He’d made the kids a frozen pizza and helped them
build a snuggle nest of blankets and pillows on the family room floor. He’d
left them arguing over the pay-per-view menu with strict instructions not to
venture upstairs or he’d unhook the cable box.
Christine hadn’t come back downstairs which suited him
fine. The pay-per-view should buy them some time alone. He’d heard the water
running on and off. In fact it was still running. His wife naked, soft and
relaxed from a bath fit his plans perfectly. He snuck down the hall to their
bedroom and quietly set the plate and glasses on the dresser. He wanted to
watch Christine in the tub. She so often hid herself from him, and he wanted a
chance to see her naked and wet and covered with bubbles.
He knew she thought she was fat, but he didn’t see her
that way. To him, she was soft, curvy and voluptuous, The only thing he didn’t
like about her body was that she rarely let him see it. That was going to
change.
Being as quiet as he could, he opened the bathroom
door. Christine lay in the tub, her dark hair piled in a sexy tumble on top of
her head. The water had almost reached her neck. Bubbles covered her creamy
breasts and he could just make out the rosy tips of her nipples peaking through
the suds. He breathed in the steamy scent of sugar cookies and smiled. He’d
picked the sugar cookie scent because it had reminded him of her—soft, warm and
like home. She obviously hadn’t heard him open the door. She had her eyes
closed and her head tipped back. Her lips parted slightly and her face was
flushed with the steam and pleasure. Despite the bubbles, he could see her hand
moving between her legs. God, she looked so sexy – like a painting by Ruebens—all
fleshy curves and rounded softness.
He inhaled deeply, nostrils flaring, and he must have
made some noise. Her eyes flew open, her expression instantly changing from
pleasure to shame. Water sloshed out of the tub as she scrambled to sit up.
“I’m…I didn’t…,” Christine stammered.
“Shh, baby. Don’t stop.” He hurried to her, stooping
to kiss her damp forehead. “Don’t stop. You’re so beautiful.”
The look on her face broke his heart. He could see she
didn’t believe him.
“I’m done.” She sat with her body hunched in the
bubbles and hardly looked at him. “Go on out. I’ll be right there.”
“Not so fast.” He laid a hand gently on her shoulder,
and she flinched. Son of a bitch. This was no way for a husband and wife to act
around each other. “Christine, baby, look at me.”
She turned to him, a smile pasted on her face. “I’m
getting out, Jack. I’ll meet you in the bedroom.” She moved to turn off the
faucet and let the water out of the tub, still keeping her body hidden from
him.
“Hmm uh, you’re not going anywhere until we finish
what you started.”
She blushed, but before she could protest, he cupped
her face in his hands and kissed her. He was so careful. She was stiff, and the
kiss started as just a meeting of mouths. Slowly, he inched her lips open and
slid his tongue inside. His fingers played with the damp tendrils at the back
of her head, his thumbs brushing along her jaw.
He could tell the instant the kiss shifted, and she
started kissing him back. Her head fell back and she strained upward to meet
him. When he was sure she’d forgotten her embarrassment and was excited again,
he broke the kiss.
“Lean back.” Still cupping her neck with one hand, he
gently pressed her shoulders until she was laying back in the tub.
“Jack, really I…”
“Hush.” He put his finger over her lips. “I want to do
this. I’m going to make you come whether you want to or not.” He heard her
breath catch and was rewarded with a look of anxious anticipation. “Close your
eyes, baby.”
He hoped if she wasn’t watching him, she’d be able to
relax. She complied, but she was still as rigid as someone could be, laying in
a tub. All the softness of earlier was gone.
He’d just have to get it back. Slowly, gently he let
his fingers play across her face, his thumbs tracing her lips. He slid his
hands down her throat and kneaded the back of her neck with his fingertips. Her
pulse thumped under his thumbs, but he was sure it was anxiousness and not
arousal that made it race.
Damn. Why had he waited so long to do this? How had
they let themselves drift so far apart?
He wasn’t going to screw it up now. He stroked her
arms, tracing a path to where her hands rested in the bubbles. Catching her
hands in his own, he squeezed them a little tighter than he intended, afraid
his own nerves would make his hands shake. He wanted to make sure she felt
good. The importance of the moment was giving him performance anxiety, and he
didn’t want to do anything else to set her on edge. Using his thumbs, he rubbed
small circles on her palms.
“That feels so good.” She sounded breathless, and he
was pleased to see her lips stay parted.
“Good, baby. I love you. I want you to feel good.” He
let go of her hands, leaned in to kiss her and fell into the tub.
~~~~~

God, she’d been mortified when Jack walked in on her
masturbating. She’d wanted to curl into a ball and sink under the bubbles. But
the way he’d looked at her made her believe he’d been excited rather than
turned off. When he said he was going to make her come, she felt a jolt of heat
start low in her belly. And the kisses, God, she loved when he kissed her. He’d
been so tender, cupping her head with his hands and holding her like she was
precious.
