“I still have to give Fiona a bath,” Josh said, looking sleepy. “But maybe I can have a nap first.”
“Good idea,” Noah said. “Maybe we’ll all do that once Kell is patched up.” Noah raised his brows at Kell, giving him a pointed look. Yeah, looked like he’d be in the E.R. soon too.

“I have another bike-a-thon I need to do traffic control on,” Kell said, rubbing his eyes. Life was settling back down, and he was more than ready for traffic control as opposed to eerie searches in the woods.

Josh got in the back of Kell’s SUV while Noah helped Kell carefully into the passenger side, taking care not to bump his bandaged leg. Liking being spoiled, Kell nuzzled the sleek ashblond hair and whispered the words he knew Noah most wanted to hear.
