the middle of the night with the eerie feeling that I was not alone.
I realized that someone had followed me home from the hospital
again. I did what you suggested and I asked an angel to help this
soul go into the light. It was very quick. I felt that whoever was with me went over right away. As I lay there in bed half asleep an idea
came to me. Of course, it may have been my angel’s idea. I saw a big white door suspended in the air with a sign on it that said, ‘Please Enter’. I looked inside the door and it was filled with white light.
I knew that this doorway would lead these lost souls to the other
side. When I went to work the next day I visualized this door in my office. Whenever I feel even a hint of a soul drifting up from the
basement, I direct them to the door. It seems to be working. I guess there really can be a doorway to heaven.”
Earth Lesson: Recognizing Home
When I first traveled through Mexico many years ago, my bus
pulled into a busy and hectic station in Mexico City. After it
dropped me off, I watched it drive away with no passengers aboard.
I had no idea where to find my next bus. It took over an hour but I went to every bus terminal in the station and looked for the route

that would take me to my destination. I could not find it. With my
limited Spanish I asked a few people where I could catch my bus
to Oaxaca. Although I could figure out how to ask my question, I
could not understand the answer. With a fair amount of pointing,
gesturing and deciphering a few words, I finally understood that I
was at the wrong bus station. In the midst of my confusion a man
came forward and explained to me in English how to get to where I
needed to be. I was quite grateful as without his help I would have likely continued to aimlessly walk around the station for hours
wondering what to do next.
When people pass over and do not go directly into the light,
their experience may be somewhat like this. Without clear direction and the ability to communicate with anyone who can tell them the
way to go, they can wander around feeling disconnected and lost.
When we encounter a soul that has lost his or her way, we are par-
ticipating in a shared earth lesson.
Those of us in the physical world are learning that we have the
ability to assist and help others in the spirit realm. When you accept this lesson, you realize your spiritual power.
People often ask me why angels do not simply reach out and
gather up all of the lost and wandering spirits and bring them into the light. I have to admit I have wondered this myself. After working with many lost spirits who have not gone into the light after
their physical death I have come to the realization that they are still focused in a physical perception. They cling to the physical world
because this is the only reality that they are aware of.
Mediums transverse the physical and spiritual and travel be-
tween the realms as messengers. We speak both languages. Like the
Spanish speaking man who explained to me in English where to go
to catch my bus, the dead listen to us.
We all share the same space. It is our perception that determines
what we experience. A spirit that chooses to stay here clinging to
their home or possessions can only accept the help of an angel if

they recognize them. Because they still have a physical perspective, we are still a part of their reality. They see us, hear us, and often try to interact with us, even if it is just to scare us away.
If you have an interest in ghosts and other spiritual beings than
an aspect of your life plan is to learn the earth lesson that you too are a spirit.
Spirit Responsibility
With the awareness that before and after your physical life you are a spirit being, comes responsibility. Instead of viewing ghosts and spiritual phenomena as terrifying and strange, it is important to
own your power to assist and help where needed. One of my pet
peeves is the further alienation of lost souls by ghost hunters, who seek only the thrill of encountering the dead. When we are only
interested in capturing proof of the existence of ghosts we miss a
valuable opportunity to be of service. Helping and assisting lost
and wandering spirits into the place of love and peace where they
can join with their loved ones, heal and evolve, is an act of love and spiritual maturity. It is a hell to be trapped between realms. Spirit soldiers wandering in battle fields, children waiting for decades for their parents to come home, lost spirits at sea, lonely ghosts living in attics and basements, need our help. There are some ghosts and
negative entities that refuse to go to the light and they are best left alone. But for the most part, these lost souls need to go home. I
rarely encounter a wandering spirit who stays here once a loved one from the light comes for them. I consider it almost child abuse to
not help a lost child spirit into the light. I know that it is not always easy to sense the presence of spirits and to know who they are and
if they are willing to go over. However, when in doubt always try
to cross them over. If you suspect that you are in the presence of
a spirit, know that you can be of service. In the last chapter of this book I include an exercise to show you how to help wandering and
lost spirits.

Your Eternal Home
We are fortunate that we have such a beautiful, peaceful and lov-
ing home to return to one day. The physical realm is a lovely place with unspeakable joys, laughter and triumphs. Yet, it pales in com-parison to the spiritual realm of bliss and love. There is no evidence and proof that you will find in the physical world to prove the existence of the celestial heavenly home. It is only in your heart that you know this truth.
Those who persistently deny the existence of life beyond the
physical take the risk of having to learn one of earth schools most difficult lessons. When we cling to the idea that the physical expression of life is all that there is, we might confront a bit of a dilemma when we pass out of the body. If our expectation after physical
death is that there is no life and we cease to exist then we can go into a sleep like state of unconsciousness. If we resist the spirit’s impulse to ascend into the light we might aimlessly wander or lose
our way in the astral realms.
Eventually all lost and wandering spirits make their way into the
light. Unfortunately it may take some time. However, angels and
loved ones on the other side never give up trying to get the atten-
tion and assist the lost ones. Once we become aware that we are
spirit and that the physical body is just a convincing disguise that will one day fall away, we can never be lost. When you embrace the
unseen spiritual realm as part of the totality of life, you can move through existence as a free spirit.
The following session story is shows the simple loving way that
we can naturally guide our loved ones after their transition into the spirit realm.
Feeding the Dogs
A successful business woman and CEO of a technology recruiting
service, Karla is a no nonsense kind of person. At our first session she came into my office, sat down and started to question me about

my credentials. Karla scheduled a session with me to gain insight
into her business and map strategy for the future. Most of our time together was devoted to her career. As we were coming to a close,
an older woman in spirit gently made herself known.
“There is woman coming in from the other side. She feels like a
grandmother. I hear the name Marge.”
“That is my mothers, mother.” Karla explains. “Her name is
Marge.”
“She wants to thank you. She is sending you love and gratitude.”
I tell her.
“I cannot imagine what she is thanking me for.” Karla says with
a surprised look on her face.
Marge responds and I begin to see images and receive more in-
formation. I tell Karla. “Your grandmother is showing me an image
of a car. I feel as if there may have been an accident. I am feeling a lot of confusion with your grandmother. She is telling me that you
helped her. I get the impression that this is what she is thanking
you for. Does this make any sense to you?”
For the first time since our session began, Karla shows some
emotion. She looks down, clears her throat and tells me. “My
grandmother died in a car accident. She was driving down a coun-
try road near her home and lost control of the car. No one quite
knows what happened. Her car was found down an embankment
up against a big boulder. It was very sad. She was such an indepen-
dent woman. I am not sure how I helped her. I was miles away. I
didn’t hear of the accident until later in the day.”
Marge is persistent. I tell Karla. “I keep seeing an image of the
car. I get the impression that your grandmother did not know that
she had died. Did she have dogs? I feel that she wanted to get to her dogs. I see her trying to walk home” I explain.
A moment of recognition seems to come over Karla. She anx-
iously shares with me. “Oh, you’re kidding, I thought that was
dream. A few nights after my grandmother died I had what I

thought was a dream about her. I saw her pacing back and forth. I
heard her talking about her dogs. She wanted to feed them, but she
couldn’t find them. I told her that the dogs were fine and that my
cousin was taking care of them. Her dogs meant everything to her.
She had two little poodles. My grandmother looked at me relived
when I told her this. I told her that I was happy to see her and that she looked very much alive. With a surprised look on her face she
asked me if she was dead. I told her she died in a car accident. I
asked her if she had seen grandpa yet. He died about ten years ago.
Then I felt him close too. That was the end of the dream.”
“I am not sure that was a dream.” I try to explain to Karla. “Your
grandmother was lost. I feel like she didn’t know that she had died.
She wanted to make sure her dogs were alright. Instead of going to
the light, she wandered around looking for them. You helped her
more than you know.
Karla still looks confused. “Did she really come to me? Did I re-
ally help her?” She asks me.
“Your grandmother is thanking you for reuniting her with your
grandfather. It might have seemed like a dream. But, she really
came to you looking for help.”
With a bit more confidence, Karla says. “I am so glad that I
helped her. She was always so caring and good to me. It would be
just like her to want to make sure her dogs were being taken care of.
Are you certain that she is on the other side and with my grandfa-
ther?”
“She is in the light.” I assure Karla. “She says that you were the
one that she knew could help her. Have you thought of getting a
dog, yourself ? Your grandmother seems to be encouraging this.”
“I never wanted any pets.” Karla tells me. “I am so busy with
work it doesn’t seem fair. Recently a friend of mine adopted a res-
cue dog. For a moment I thought about it. Even called up the res-
cue group and asked them what dogs they had available. I almost
did it. Then I came to my senses and realized that a cat may be

more my style. That was probably my grandmother influencing me.
She loved her dogs. Tell her maybe one of these days I will get one for myself. “
“Your grandmother just wants you to always feel loved.” I tell
her.
There are Two
The following session moved me beyond my preconceived ideas of
what is possible. It also made me more aware of the challenges that are taking place in our midst without our ever knowing it.
An attractive woman in her early forties, Rachel came to see
me on the recommendation of a friend. I started the session and
quickly realized that she had a concern about her son.
“Do you have a son? “ I asked her.
She quickly responded. “I have three sons and a daughter.”
“This son is about six years old and has dark hair.” I explain.
“That is Jack.” Rebecca anxiously answers. “He is the reason that
I am here.”
“I get the impression that he has emotional mood swings that
he cannot control. I see him not sleeping well. He is anxious and
excited at night and then tired during the day. He has some food
allergies. Yet, there is something else going on with him that I have not seen before. His energy is very confused” I explain.
“He has had a physical, seen a psychologist and I have done ev-
erything I can think of to help him. Something is off. I don’t know what. He is distracted and having trouble in school. I was told that you could help us. Do you think that he needs medication? I don’t
know what else to do.” Rachel looks concerned as she tells me this.
I refocus my attention and am surprised by what I intuitively
received. “There are two.” I tell her. “There are two spirits inside of Jack.” As I share this, more information comes forward. “I feel
that another soul went into Jack’s body soon after he was born or
